@@TonyAlbus Hey today I accidently found out where it goes! I did a google search on this model, and when I went to the images page, low and behold, the very 1st picture shows it on! I swear I searched for an hour yesterday and could never find out that is was for, then this morning, I find it instantly.... Isnt this how all things go anyhow, when you try to find something you never do. When you are NOT looking for something, you find it... Hey I love this scope, its better than my other 7" LCD scope. I like the idea that I snap the pic without touching the scope and making the specimen move around. Today, my sister gets a microscope, and my old 7" one... she has no clue, she will be shocked, and overjoyed! She was wanting just a microscope, but now she is getting two, and we are feeding her McDonald's tonight when she gets off of work. Hey three great things in one visit!!! What kind of scope is this? How much did it cost? I'm looking at the andonstar ADSM 302 HDMI or AD 208s I believe it was. The 8 inch screen instead of the 5 inch on 302 and the working height is able to work a little higher as well.

I have the same Microscope, and for this little price its an good device. However, I built it on a heavier base plate with a new table on top that can be moved via fine adjustments. The microscope "table" is now a bit higher, but the part is bombproof and you can move the part of the interest under the microscope cleanly and without jerking.

I already have the model of 7" microscope of a different brand. I'm giving it to my sister and ordering the one that you are reviewing. I'm an x-instructor for the US Air Force in the field of Ground Radio repair, which is now called RF Transmissions. I taught radio, GPS, cell phones, mass alert, satcom, and any and all devices that do any form of electronic communications. I'm also an EE and mathematician. I am so impressed with your bench of test equipment, what a great setup you have there! It looks like you have everything! I am now fully retired, but I still do electronics, I design and build things based on the Arduino. I would love to have all your equipment although a single commuications test set would be enough, but still, your collection is fantastic! I look forward to this microscope coming in. I also have the Flipview, which I consider a piece of crap. I also have TWO German made, high quality, super expensive lab microscopes, both with digital eyepieces, running to my PC that has two 47" monitors! This crap of squinting your eye up at the microscope is just plain stupid and irritating to do when it is so easy and inexpensive to put the image on a computer monitor! My digital eyepieces are $100 each and not cheap junk. Each of the lab scopes exceed $2500 each. But, they are not good for looking at bugs like the scope in your video, they are great for looking at individual cells of the bug! My lower powered ones are so much better for bugging! I will be surprising my sister with my 7" LCD Microscope. She loves looking at the bug pictures I send to her, and she made the statement that she would love to have a microscope... Well, with her being poor, and me being rich, I am about to make her wish come true! Ain't that nice of me? Anyhow, my scopes, and the one you are review, all fantastic to use!, Nice video and you get a thumbs up from me!

I like using it more than my lab-quality microscope, both exceeding $2500 each. Some times it is better to magnify below 1200 for looking a things like bugs, coins, circuits, and so on... My lab scopes are just to extreme for those objects because I can magnify to the level of seeing whats in a single cell.

She is dirt poor and works at Dollar General and barely makes an income. We also brought her feed from McDonalds, she cant afford to eat out either. For me, $100 isn't even enough to buy enough beer, so its piss-ant money. She would never be able to afford even a $30 microscope, much less, one that is $100. She was so delighted. I trained her how to use it in the stand-alone mode. Next time I visit I'll teach her the capture software. She's had a few days and said she is all over her yard collecting specimens to view. got mine today, for $99.99 it's nice, probably could be better, but nice so far and i don't mind using obs, bandicam or streamlabs to access the camera on my pc. good to know it also works on usb power only and no need to ruin a easily replaceable 18650 by leaving it on the charger 80% of the time.
I'm using oasis.exe from here, bandicam works, but this is much smaller and works as good with a digital zoom feature.

also, where did you find the dm9 zip?

Hello Redkurn, thanks for the extra info on the streams, that is new to me, thanks!.. the DM9 is a zip i made, from the software from the CD that came with it, and some scans i made myself or collected from somewhere.

Tony, this video was clumsy and a reckless, although the product is still a good digital microscope.
First off, the manual is nearly useless - the English portion is poorly translated. The web site was no better.
The worst part is that there are no instructions about how to assemble the microscope. There is a diagram on the side of the box that shows how the support stand and microscope go together, but there is nothing about the wiring
The stand is surprisingly difficult to screw together, because the threads on the support rod were not clean. Second, the camera slides into the support ring WITH THE WHITE SILICONE BAND that was included (Tony left it off), I found that the stand lights were very helpful, particularly with metal objects (coins, electronic boards, etc) There is no USB charger included and that was an unfortunate mistake (IMHO).
The worst part of the microscope is the color capture. The LCD screen is pretty sharp and even, but the color is greatly subdued. You may have to transfer the files to a computer to edit them to bring out colors.
Tony, you went through this setup way too fast and he missed a lot. The newest kits DO include a 32GB Micro memory card. The software utility (only for Windows OS) comes on a USB memory stick. It works with Mac OS without special drivers.

Thank you for the extra information, i am sure it is very helpful for others who were also struggling with this device.

This is a Chinese deception in describing the capabilities of the microscope. How can the maximum video resolution be 1280*720 at 12MP? There is clearly a very outdated camera no more than 1.2MP. All these 12MP are software interpolation, the technology is very outdated.

It's a piece of junk. Dies after 6 months. Will only view 15mm items.
