Very few players who can strike the ball like him from long range… that goal vs Germany was a prime example. An absolute rocket into the top corner. He always seemed like a misunderstood guy… hard to believe that Italy couldn’t bring him back into the fold when they were so desperate for strikers for so long.
It's not hard to believe at all. Italy is racist to it's very core always has been and alot of balotellis behaviour was down to the racial abuse he was getting every single game.

Not a failure, but I wish I could see a world where Balotelli realizes his full potential, could have been legendary instead of great. Was a joy to watch, especially with Pirlo long balls.

What a beast. It's clear, he wasn't a "normal" player, he had the skills, the physique and the savage and confident attitude to become a world class player. Unfortunately, money, medias and exactly his attitude destroyed his carrier. That's a shame, italy could have one of the best strikers in team's history.

This man is a striker not a winger, he had the strength, positioning, and heading. What else does he need? Even for a striker he had a good dribbling technique. You dont know what you are talking about
People often say he had untapped potential and that he was a troublemaker.

I say he had an excellent career, starting playing senior professional at only age 15 ( messi was 17 and Ronaldo was 18). Let's face it many of you would have been crushed under the pressures he had to endure.

Resta comunque un grande campione, uno che ha vinto tanto: campionati (nazionali ed europei), classifiche cannonieri, coppe, e in carriera (finora) ha fatto 1 gol ogni 2 partire e mezza. Non molti come lui. Credo che abbia ancora qualcosa da dire. Potrebbe continuare altri 3-4 anni almeno.
