You didn’t need a D10 dozer. You did it the best way and the cheapest. Bigger is not always better. And you done it in a way it was fun. I have been operating heavy equipment for 28 years. That’s the way I would have done it. Great show.

Your deer, they just know when to be on guard. When man is being quiet, danger! When man is busy, no worries. I don't know how many videos I've watched where man and deer have bonded and became close friends. One day, after the Kingdom of Heaven is established on earth, animals will no longer eat meat and will no longer fear man. How awesome that will be to walk up to a lion and start petting it, giving it a belly scratch! I see videos of saved squirrels living in a person's house until it's old enough to live on its own. Animals have a great sense to know danger. When a bond is made w a human, I just melt. Yesterday, I was out and about, short sleeve t-shirt. No jacket. I see snow at Mike's and that just makes me love my North Carolina foothills even more. Thanks for sharing Mike, you always have such good stuff going on. I'll be watching for the happening next door. 👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

When I used to heat with my woodstove I would spread the coals, and then load it up tight and open the vent/breather just the width of a razor blade and wake up in the morning to a really warm place and a fresh bed of coals to once again stack it tight, and then I was good until that night when I would do it again. Stacked tight and a razor blade width for venting is a 12 hour routine. Of course I unfortunately was not heating a 2800+ sq ft pole barn. Either way, wood stoves are great.
I like what Henry David Thoreau said when he wrote Waldens pong. He said that firewood warms you up when you are sawing/creating it, and warms you again when you burn it, or something like that. :-) Love this channel.

Your video Title is so True! I’ve had some crazy things happen while I was in the woods deer hunting over the years. Had a squirrel climb on top of my head one time! So I was as still as a church mouse to make sure he didn’t bite my head or forehead. That Joker was Doing like a cat when it’s clawing with its paws and claws in a blanket. That joker was pawing at my hair trying to figure out what that dark brown soft stuff was 😂🤣 i finally raised my right hand up out in front of my face and he jumped back onto the oak tree I was leaned against up in my big wooden tree stand. He started barking at me like a mad squirrel 😂, i finally leaned forward and turned my head and looked at him and said Boo and he took off up the tree higher and got up there and cussed me out barking for 10 more minutes. 😂 But that’s just one of the Craziest things that happened to me in the woods. Oh yeah once i was in the woods cutting up some firewood up with my chainsaw & ya ever get that feeling something is watching ya? I looked up and 10-12 deer was within 40 yards just starring at me. I guess they was curious and I cut the saw off and they took off running. That’s crazy they stood And watched me until I cut the saw off ! 😂🤣🤣

Introduction. When the D10 was introduced in 1977, it was the most powerful track-type tractor ever built at 700 horsepower (520 kW) . The Cat D10 could be ordered with up to a 19-foot (5.8 m) U-blade, and weighed in at 180,000 lb (82,000 kg). Later versions weighed in at 190,000 lb (86,000 kg).

Back in my Boy Scouting days (early 1960's), we called that fire building technique a "council fire" which was used for building the bigger fires, with bigger logs, for the whole troop. Smaller fires a single patrol was usually started with a "tepee fire" which allowed for using small twigs and branches as starter material. Funny how you remember things from more than 60 years ago

Moving your white pine is not just a question of economics. It's a good idea to process or use any cut wood as close to its source as possible. Oak wilt, emerald ash borer, pine sawflies, and lots of fungal pests will gladly hitch a ride on any load. Think elm trees and chestnuts. Here in Northern Wisconsin most of us practice a 10 to 15 mile firewood rule. Timber cut on my 460-acre forest gets hauled further, but that's controlled by the location of the mills, and the wood is usually down and out in a matter of days. Love your work even if your fleet has completely outgrown any possibility of applying to my situation. Now you're offering me more machinery porn than practical information, but that's not all bad at all.

Stays in the woods. 😆😆😆😁😁😁 Hopefully. You're have quite a bonfire. I noticed the deer up next to your pile of stumps near your house. They could be chewing on the tree's roots. One of your fellow U Tubers. The deers chews up any type of birch trees. They strip the bark & chew on the wood. He's a work horse owner/ logger. ( It's been over 5 yrs ago. I've not seen him since. ???) Great news on neighbor's oak trees & white pine logs. Mark Galicic & Ed Horvath had beautiful red oak & white pine lumber. Have good Saturday Mike. At some point while trying to put some brush on top of a large slash pile, I drove into the stack with the grapple up high and got skewered by a branch in the pile. It poked a hole in my front grill, luckily not through the battery or radiator. Of course that night I researched grill guards and am now deciding which one to purchase. Another tractor operating lesson learned.

Hey Mike, ever thought about making a new deer hide/mini-cabin, that's bright orange, moves on tracks, and is engine-noisy? ;-)

Good morning to you all . My wood stove never looks that clean, but maybe two times a year. It's more like once and not that clean. My bad. Way to go. I'm serious. I just don't run that tight of a ship. Impressive.

In my younger years in High School and College, I worked summers on my Grandpa's dairy farm. Lots of mowing alfalfa hay, etc. I once had a doe come out and start following me around the field... she was hanging back about 100 feet behind the tractor/mower conditioner, but she followed me all the way around the field 3-4 times. I wouldn't have believed it if I did't see it myself. I've also had coyotes do the same thing... that wasn't really too uncommon, they learned they could get some easy mice and little critters by following behind the mower. But that doe following me around the field was one of the craziest things I've seen with deer.

That will be a big bonfire! Grab some marshmallows!
Red oak is my favourite wood. Firewood, lumber, flooring, trim, doors, furniture. It’s very versatile and a beautiful wood. Hope you get some nice logs from the neighbour.

Hey Mike, the reason your houses are leaking is because they’re too short from the attachment to the loader arms quick disconnect outlet. When loader arms are raised, completely up and attachment is tilted all the way forward you will be able to see if your hoses are too tight, creating a bind that creates a leak.

I think you should put the brush & stumps on the stone trailer when empty.
The company can shred the items.
Also you are not polluting the air.
As always you say no time, but you have time to stay there and feed the fire
How about saving Mother Earth air
Stop thinking of yourself money .Think of what is right, not is for yourself.
Another question is the wood stove, does it have an ash box?
You are a great person, I enjoy watching your show 🎉
