- Hello friends C: ! I’m back with another cosplay tutorial. This time, I’ll be showing you how I made my Hatsune Miku Magnet cosplay that I wore to MIKU EXPO 2016. Going to this concert has been one of my wishes for 4 years now, so I’m so happy I had the opportunity to go this year. (It was A M A Z I N G!!!!) Miku’s Magnet song was one of my favorites when I was younger, so I vowed to myself that when I cosed Miku, this was the first version I would make (:

Note: I did not study fashion design in school. Sewing/cosplay constructing is just a hobby of mine, so anything I do or say in this video cannot be treated as a golden rule. If you have a better way of sewing/making something, then go for it! This video is merely a step by step guide of how I managed to finish Hatsune Miku’s costume ^^;… I hope this video helps at least someone~

This video is pretty old so I highly doubt you’ll see this but this was so helpful! My boyfriend and I are cosplaying Kaito and Gakupo and we’ve been wanting to do a Magnet version for so long but I had no idea where to start with the headphones, I’m so glad I found this video tho! The headsets turned out so good^^!

I used this and it helped me, SO much. Unfortunately mine was a bit messy but I’ve learned to accept that not everything will be perfect. This is my first time using certain supplies ^_^

It looks so good! I love the fact that you're fine with buying stuff as a base and just transform it, it seems really easy and cheap to do

Awwh thank you!! I ended up spending about $50 (wig, gloves, shoes, lace). Everything else I already had at home. If you want a better break down of the cost, I have a link on my wordpress for my full supply list ^^. I was pretty time crunched when I debuted Miku so the wig /gloves were bought off Amazon Prime. You can def buy cheaper wigs and gloves on Ebay which will drive the cost down :)

and i love it OwO
i'm wondering, since headbands are typically tucked behind the ear but you glued yours down. does it not hiurt your ear? or do you have it placed in a way where the band is not on it? it looks pretty centered so I'm asuming is pressed against your ear when the headphones are on which would seem painful or at the very least, an annoyance.
sorry ;~; i just saw this. But, to answer your question, the headband isn't glued to my wig. I can move it anywhere I want so it doesn't really hurt me bc it's over my wig. In other words , it's not really placed over my ear since I"m wearing a wig. The most annoying part of this cos is Miku's pig tails that I have to clip on since that's super heavy.
