DUDE, this video came just in time! I recently bought a 360 copy off eBay after losing mine so many years ago. I’ve been revisiting, and I love and appreciate it more now than I did ten years ago. Pre-MCU Marvel media is just so damn charming

For anyone curious, the +50% lightning damage items Asgard Armor (craftable with every playthrough) and Dark Uru Hammer (obtainable in hard mode) are bugged to apply to all kinds of damage
There’s also a glitch that lets you copy over that attribute to other items as long as the other item only has one buff. Asgard armor and dark Uru have 2. But you can copy that already glitched 50% to all powers over to for example starboard flame.

I actually had no idea that Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Sabertooth, Magneto, or Moon Knight were playable in this game. I guess the playstation had more? I remember Bruce Banner and Nightcrawler were more like set pieces that showed up in certain areas for story purposes, and feeling strange that they weren't useable
Some were DLC (so were only purchasable on the PS3 and 360 versions), and I think there might have been some that were console exclusive on top of that? Or might have been base game console exclusives.

In my best ever run of the game, my main to go to team was Iron Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider. Ghost Riders Hellfire charge up attack does major damage on top of being able to be buffed by certain outfits, or sacrifice that extra damage for his chance ability to revive teammates from the dead. I think Ghost Rider is worthy of A tier, alongside Moon Knight and maybe Spider-Man. But great list. I love to see MUA content. Ive been playing this game for 13 years now.
Mu favourite thing is putting % healing from damage dealt onto Venom, and holding his maxxed out multiple tendrils ability.
He CCs the entire room and heals like crazy, since his healing by 5-10% seems to have minimum value like +1hp/attack, and since he deals like 10 ticks of damage per second, as a result he heals for MUCH greater percentage than he should.
I'd love to see you do a tier list for X-Men Legends II!

Never played the first two game since I never heard of them until like last year, only beaten the 3rd game and really liked it. But watching this video is actually making me consider getting a physical copy of the first game for my ps3, as I lack an xbox, it looks fun!
Deadpool and Wolverine are the best characters in the game, the others just cant compete with health regen, deadpools buffs/debuffs and Wolverines dmg output
I remember buying this and MUA2 for $60 on Amazon years ago. Best impulse buy I've made in a while. Surprised to hear it's still available in Europe though, that's great.

Hey man good job on the video this game needs more praise honestly! I wanted to ask you opinion on each character in game based on these 5 attributes (Xtreme- how good or useful is it? Damage- how much damage does the character do? Survivability- how tanky is the character?
Utility- how many options do they have in battle?
Flair- how well you do like the character based on play style, costumes, voice, etc.) and rank them each based on a tier list list, for example, Deadpool has s tier survivability because he has a healing factor and can teleport away from enemies. I would love to hear your feedback either in a video format or text!
Ultimates are irrelevant, really only coming up in solo simulators when energy is low.
Damage is king and a large part of how this tier list shook out. Good boss damage is around 1.5k per second or higher, and good aoe damage is around 750 to an area per second, ideally with some control. A character can be short of these numbers and still be alright, just not S tier.
Survivability is irrelevant if the damage is good since hitting hard is how you get red orbs. The characters that struggle the most with survivability are the ones that have low or inconsistent damage. Some defense buffs are better than others though, like Panther or Fury, and those factored into their tier placement here.
Utility for the party comp is always good, but hard to grade on a tier list as often two characters with the same trait like flying or a fast travel skill are redundant, which is why i made a second video just for my favorite party compositions. It's already out and takes this kind of thing into account.
Style is subjective and self evident, but i do like marching outfits for the party, even when they're not from the same franchises. I will say the sound effects of Cyclops and Wolverine are top notch though, and both their classics and astonishing fits are choice. Always love a Steve Blum voiced Wolvie too.

If you wanted to, it’s up to you, if you wanted to make a video that goes into depth on some specifics such as damage, survival, utility, etc. for each character. Not sure if that’s redundant at all but I love when people talk more about this game cause it’s probably one of my favorites of all time tbh! Also, yes dude Steve Blum is an amazing Wolverine literally should just be the canon voice. My favorite is Spider-Man because he’s hilarious also dead pool is very funny too! Two fav characters in the game for sure 👍
I really enjoyed this game. I wish the Avengers game for PS4 would've taken a few simple notes from this one. Both of them were very enjoyable to me though. 👍
It’s disgusting all the red tape involved in these characters, we cannot get all these characters together like this likely ever again cuz of copy rights
Just something good to point out, Thing is a great grappler in this game, with him you can bash grappled enemies to the ground, which does splash damage, it's a great way to deal with minions
Yeah Colossus too. Slow damage though; they'll get shot to hell in the teleporter room
@@Jza_Dragon it's actually different, Colossus will use them as weapons, but Thing will grab Just like every other character, but one of the commands will pound the enemy to the ground instead of punching, which does splash damage

My team comp:
1. Iron Man: Give "Energy Route" buff
2. Thor: Give "Asgard Blessing" buff
3. Deadpool: Use "BattleCry" for teammates, "Wisecrack" on enemies
4. Mr. Fantastic: Main character that I use. max out "Fantastic Fists" self buff, then "Rubberband Recoil"
(Boom! Now I'm spamming chargeable, AoE, crit attacks with dozens of buffs)
(I also use Attuma's Ring on Mr. Fantastic gives +25% power damage, and his first costume which also gives additional power damage)
Rubberband Recoil is my 2nd fave, don't sleep on Elastic Crush! Also the +50% lightning items are bugged to work with all damage, so Reed can also use it. Hits like a truck
I love the group bonuses more than anything. I loved playing as the F4 though daredevil has always been my favorite character in any medium

I COMPLETELY agree with putting Ronin in S tier, she is a life (and time) saver whenever I get to Dr.Doom in my speed-runs
My favourite character is of course Deadpool.
His certain suit has greater regeneration boost than the other one. So his healing per second is greater. I think it's +2%/s on top of his built in 1%/s.
Then I give him ALL of the body upgrades. That results in greater HP pool, and since regeneration amount is but a 1%/s, as a result his regeneration value is boosted greatly.
And then I found some +10 Deadpool defense item, and he became unkillable!
Nice tier list, i personally think hawkeye is a tier as hypershot is a very good party boost for buffing dps as well as his paralyzer power doing very good dps while also not using much energy, which means you dont need to use energy reroute
Also you should try the official characters pack mod for mua 2006, which has all the chars from xmen legends 1 to mua 1; you can get some combinations like secretion toad + fury hulk
it's a personal buff only, not to the whole team

You spoke 56888 times of Dark Uru Hammer, but you seem to not realise that Asgardian Armour is bugged and buffs power damage of ALL types.
So does Uru lol. It's the same, but adds 10 melee as opposed to ele armor

@@Jza_Dragon What's important to mention is that Asgardian Armour can be created 4677 times, once per each playthrough, while Dark Uru is dropped only during the first run.
@@LegsON lol nice. I do have three in this file, 4th member holds Uru, but specifically in simulators I usually prefer uru since melee comes into it more than ele defense

Im glad cyclops is top tier in this game, in legends 2 he's pretty meek and is like, bottom 5 in terms of damage, and hes not even in 2. Here though he's a monster, i always slot him on my team.
Hawkeye isn't PSP exclusive, he came out in the main version along with Cyclops and Nightcrawler.
when i clicked the video i knew deadpool would be s tier 😂 only ever played with the base roster so a lot of the characters values were new to me. figured wolverine would be s tier as well but a seems fair

Agree With the list for the most part. Deadpool, Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic are definitely the best base game characters, however you are downplaying Hulk a lot. He is arguably the best character in the game second to only Ronin imho. Fury + Healing Factor + Cyclone Punch is very broken and he has the highest attack speed in the game while in Fury Mode. Cyclone Punch can melt bosses pretty quickly.
Tap attacks and Cyclone spam are both under 500 dps. He's gotta triple that to be in the running for best on bosses.

My friends and i ran with a team of Iron Man, Deadpool, Scarlet Witch, and Thor and we had so much sustained AoE that it made the whole game trivial. We had to self regulate otherwise we would clear whole rooms without even taking a tic of damage.
That quartet was ultra effective.

never seen that one. There are cheat codes to unlock all characters though, could fix it.

I feel Ms. Marval is at least a tier too low. Her best power is the Photon Orbs which you don't mention. All of the heroes with Team Melee upgrades are great to have. That includes Ms. Marvel, Human Torch, Iceman, Deadpool, and Storm off the top of my head. Great list though overall.

@@Jza_Dragon Gonna hard disagree with this also, especially as a fan of hers. Honestly feel you put Carol too high, cause she’s really not good outside of her time stopping buff, and her melee upgrades aren’t worth much when there are stronger options out there(Deadpool is right there).
Would stick her in D tier, but that’s just me. She doesn’t get better gameplay wise until MUA2 and MUA3.

Hulk and Colossus have relatively the same overall kits.
What standout features do you think truly separate them?
A speed difference by far. Colossus takes hits while waiting for targets to stop falling in slow motion and can't attack grounded quickly anyway. Hulk is just in super fast forward compared to him.

I'll disagree about Dr. Doom and Moon Knight.
Doom is invulnerable with his forcefield while the lightening blast wrecks everyone, the detonation keeps melee attackers away. Or you can jusr fly and rain lightning below, sustained by the energy orbs, occasionally landing to break barrels if rhe oevs don't drop.
Moon Knight's nunchucks can melt bosses whilw being sustained by energy orbs, wirh the staff slam keeping crowds away, his "boomerang" has better maneuverability than Cap's shield for crowd control and the nunchucks can also melt monions.
Doom has to constantly use energy to keep foes from touching him, but the damage isn't serious and bosses can't be controlled anyway. He lands in C because he functions but isn't special. Lots of characters can mitigate projectiles and still offer more.
Moon Knight's nunchucks are nice damage but mutually exclusive with knockdown from staff or boomerang since nunchucks don't hit to grounded. It's comparable to a radial spin move like Black Panther's or Deadpool's but much narrower, and those guys offer up great team buffs as well. He got a B tier though, because while he has more happening than someone like Doom, he isn't contributing like an A or S tier like Panther or Pool.

If you team up with Iron Man that has the energy reroute boost yeah Cyclops will be much better
I actually don't struggle with energy with him. I happen to run the X-Men team for a 15% max energy buff, like a mini version of Iron Man's buff, but even without the team bonus I do alright. I used him in online play and never had energy droughts.

im not really familiar with how good all characters are in this game but im surprised you have cyclops higher than silver surfer
He's got a clear leg up. That first power Optic Blast is snappy and strong damage and knockdown and can widen to catch a bigger area as needed, so the control is constant. Surfer's molecular does knock down to a small aoe but it's less area and slower to cast. Then Cyke has ricochet for cleaning up bosses and that thing eats through even energy resistant foes.
In surfer's favor, that time slow and heal are both great and viable even without extra ranks put in, but I don't miss em if I don't have em. Flight and the surfboard travel are both solid too, but you really only need 1 party member to have them so I don't think of those as S tier offerings.
