Today we'll be going over 30 superheroes across Marvel, DC, Fox, and everything in between, at all the times they've suited up over the years and assign each one a ranking in order to see who did it best. Get ready to see all your favorite heroes from Deadpool, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Superman, Spiderman, and so many more.
Let me know if I've missed any of your favorites or if you'd have ranked any suit up differently.
This one took a while to put together, so hope you guys enjoy.

I’d personally put between wonder woman and green lantern. I think clicking off is kinda irrational it’s a fantastic video, but i guess your interest in a video is an emotional thing

Blue beetle shouldve been higher. I really liked the borderline horror aspect woth an alien creature fusing to your body. I do agree that the reactions and yelling detracted from the scene but it still shouldnt be that low.

I respect that. Body horror can be an interesting concept, rare in superhero movies for sure. The way they presented it in a comical way just didn't speak to me necessarily. But I can appreciate what they were trying to do.

I think the mix of horror and comedy for that scene really set the tone of the film. There was going to be fun for the audience, and eventually even the characters; but they were going to go through some hard times to get there.
The lack of a Blue Beetle II and a Shazam III are the only reasons I regret the complete loss of the Snyderverse.
i remember rdj suit up in iron man 1 was so cool, bcuz it felt so real, it wasn't like nano tech bullsh*t and stuff and it was so satisfie to watch him suit up.
When he positioned Ezra Miller's flash on the podium I had to pause and take a look at the comments and description to see if this wasn't a belated April Fool's Day video

@@margiebazan7258 they're overdesigned, always have terrible shades of red and yellow and they have never able to get his mask right aside from mark 1. Also, he's your favorite? You do know he blackmailed a 14 year old child into joining his blackops team and handed a drone warfare program to him right?
Nanotech I feel like makes sense for characters like Iron Man and Black Panther because they are tech reliant, so they get a pass for it. But other characters, whether intentionally or not, they are overdoing it. Thor, Jane, Wasp, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Kang, etc. (Was talking about the part where you mentioned some stuff about nanotech in the Iron Man suitup part)
Aside from all that, my favorite suitup is the Mark 85 Iron Man suitup because it combines nanotech with the physical suits. Even looks better, performs better, and is more comic accurate than the Mark 50 in my eyes. We can all agree that Iron Man got the best suitups ngl

@@y.reviews right😭 they shoulda done some neat flashy magic looking effect. Even a simple fade in effect would have been better than nanotech. Every other character who uses the nanotech at least makes sense, even if it's lame and uninteresting. Ant man, being a regular dude like Tony, would have definitely asked for a cool suit upgrade that he didn't need to put on like regular clothes, and Hank would have delivered. And even though it's kinda boring, at least it's not just an exact reuse of Iron Man's style. Even Black Panther's nanotech suit up looks a bit unique compared to Iron Man, and also makes sense. But Thor....why? Asgard has been established as mostly just tech so far advanced past human tech that it just seems like straight magic. So why would the power of an Asgardian look like human-level tech? At least Thor still got his lightning suit up, even if that costume looked fucking awful lmao
Glad Iron Man got number 1. A surprise to absolutely nobody, but so well deserved. Every single new style suit up of his is iconic, and so so tasty watching him upgrade his tech each movie as the MCU progresses

getting towards the end of the list I'm getting emotional. theres so much style oozing from some of these. especially the superman ones they just give me chills
Its a small example of whats so cool about this genre. even in the worst superhero movies (GL) theres sick ass suit up scenes. It really shows a lot of love for these characters in every step of the movie development. Iron mans progression of suit ups being a prime example, hell they even made the nanotech look breathtaking, you know before everyone else ruined it
I’m struggling to watch past your blue beetle placement. Original, lots of effort put into the transformation, the family passionately reacts … no reason to place it so low!!!

Seeing the mark 5 suit up in theaters as a kid was just mmm so good
I don't get what exactly you were looking but some suit should hv been higher -
1) Harley's suit up: REALLY??!! You picked that boring ,awful so called suit up when there was witchy transformation of Enchantress!
2) Why Wonder Woman suit up so low? It was iconic and should be in top 10. Her tiara, lasso, shield close up perfectly synchronized as she climbs the ladder is just epic.
Same with Blue Beetle.
The Strange suit up in MoM was so good. Loved it.
Yes Strange in MoM was pretty great. As for the others, unfortunately can't make everyone happy. No knock against the heroes of course. And I'm definitely saving Enchantress for another video.

I am curious if anyone else thinks venom counts as a suit up. at the start he said characters like hulk, beast, etc. wouldn't count as they are changing their own flesh, however venom is technically a living supersuit, as the symbiote goes over Eddie's own skin, leaving Eddie alive onside as we see whenever venom opens his face, carnage wouldn't count as a suit up since he is literally morphing his own flesh, organs and being, into the symbiote, but venom is basically a powersuit, especially considering the fact that in games and comics, we have agent venom, which is definitely a power suit, but is just different to venom in appearance

I like how Mark Grayson in Invincible, after wearing pajamas and after trying out some outfit from Art, just appears in his suit after the moment he realizes what his name should be. Then we can sense that he's really feeling invincible.

This is a fun video and am gonna leave a like. But I just had to ask, why did you use Eternals not 'earning their powers or suit' as a mark against them? The x-men didn't earn their powers. Superman didn't earn his powers. Neither did Spider-Man. I don't get this argument. I'm not really aiming this at you, it's just I've heard this argument before about another superhero and I just think it's such a weird thing to say. Like why are Kingo's powers out of the blue anymore than Cyclops? Or Thor? Or Wonder Woman?
This is a great question. For me, every character in Eternals just started by being extremely overpowered. Superman is equally overpowered but at least you knew who Clark Kent was before he got any powers. With Spiderman, you knew Peter was just an ordinary kid who had simple motives- get the girl, track down his uncle's killer, so getting his powers, you could root for him. Thor had his powers stripped away so you could see him earn them back. Same goes for the other heroes you mentioned. In most cases, there was buildup of character before they became their superhero selves. Or we went back to find it. Eternals were God like beings from the start, who just got their suits drawn on them in the very first scene and could run fast, form golden weapons, or punch hard, all because the movie said they could. It's like if we were introduced to all the Marvel characters in Civil War. I would have said.. this looks cool and all, but who are these people?
This is an incredible video. I love this whole channel, one of the best edutainment type channels about movies and media for me.

I know Affleck ain't the fan favorite Batman, I didn't hate him but I wouldn't say he was the best, but I'll argue to the end of time...his suit was the best Batman suit on screen yet. The logo, the look of materials, it pays homage to suits of old while also maintaining a look of tactical functionality.
Made even better with that badass desert duster variant, and that batsuit power armor deal was narly too.

Hey Y Reviews, some feedback - having a loud beginning of the video followed by a soft voice (great voice + audio setup, btw) required me to change my volume, which probably isn't good for overall viewer retention.
I'm on a neverending quest to refine my audio, so thank you for this.
Honorable mentions: Mr. Incredible's car suit up scene in The Incredibles, Red Guardian's suit up in Black Widoe where he struggles to fit in it, Japanese Spiderman's scene with a suit in a bracelet/watch. Also the CW suitup commercial and the suitups in the Arkham games are pretty good
Actually, the best Deadpool suit up was in the teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 when he did a "Superman" suit up in a phone booth(classic!) complete with a full moon against the glass and him taking a phone call before coming out! "Hey, nice suit!" "ZIP IT STAN LEE!" LMAO!

I've always assumed that that scene and the world running backwards in "Superman: The Movie" were all in Superman's head. The world ran backwards in the same way that if you pass a car while driving, they seem to be going in the opposite direction if stopped. The fight in the junk yard wasn't actually two people fighting, but one very sick man fighting himself "Fight Club" style.

I personally think the best one is iron man's briefcase suitup, but my favourite one is easily Spiderman homecomings street suitup. It fits peters character spectacularly, and it amazingly contrasts his dorky life has Peter with the invincible feel of his Spiderman persona

I'm a bit surprised the 2017 Power Rangers didn't get a mention.
I like to think they did what Eternals was trying to do. It doesn't happen until before the big fight. It wasn't possible unless all the rangers were emotionally connected and synced, what the movie built up over an act to do. And you can see the energy from the opening to the morphing grid come out and form their suits, even getting a few close ups to see it almost crystalizing on their skin.
All amounting to slowmo walk and a partially obscured fight with a few putties, resulting in all of them leaping out of a cliff together, showing off their colorful suits in the bright sun and about to face an army.
I really love the first suit up of Dean Cains superman, when he rushes from different costumes, while "holding out for a hero" is playing in the background, just gives me indescribable vibes. And the funny scene in third episode, when he puts his suit in the toilet, while some confused dude tells him: "Take your time!" 😂

Actually if you look at the prison escape scene in Ghost Rider he zips up his jacket and makes the spikes longer. It even had cool ass music to accompany it. For me that is his suit up

Seeing the old superman suit ups made me nostalgic af. I remeber watching those old kovies with my dad’s old dvd. I like how the suit up works bc it shows how practical effects are necessary to make things realistic. This is also relevant with the stupid nano tech suit ups; they dont look real, they look stupid. (Except for that one iroan scene. That shit goes hard)

Bro what are you talking about. Put some respect on Blue Beetles name. Not only was his suit up one of the most TERRIFYING, yet funny and COOLEST transformation in superhero media I've ever seen, but his Costume design was SPECTACULAR, with it being extremely comic accurate yet still having a unique look to it.
Even though the movie was a little lackluster, in my opinion, the actor still did a great job portraying who Jaime is to his core.
And don't you EVER say he looks like a Blue Deadpool... I mean the disrespect 😢
Ghost Rider has some insane Nick Cage facial expressions, but the transformation of his bike and his face to the skull is tight
Captain America is one of my fav superheroes but is wayyyy too high on this list. you weren’t even ranking him on his suit-ups, you were gushing about the cool character moments he had.
Well it's all things taken into consideration. The character moments I chose came directly after the suit up- it all ties together imo.

I disagree with the blue beetle ranking. While it's not the most conventional or heroic, I think it's unique in the way that it almost seems like body horror. Just my opinion, great video.👍
