Had a great time Kyle, would definitely love to do something like this again! Love the funny edits you added as well haha. Just one note for the audience, at 18:12 you show an example of a Presbyterian pastor saying Baptism doesn't save, but it shows that he's a PCA pastor. The PCA notoriously has a semi-Baptist view of the Sacraments. If you want the truly Calvinist view of the Sacraments, don't listen to PCA pastors, read the Scots Confession and Calvin's Geneva Catechism. God bless!
In fact, it seems dishonest to me to add texts, images and videos trying to refute your position, after the conversation is over. If you did the same thing to him, it would also look like he "lost" the argument. I really couldn't understand this, it's hard to justify. But if you didn't call, then that's okay.
@@OrthodoxKylejust a recommendation, I think it’s more honest to study the positions of the people you talk with to refute in person then add memes and refutations afterwards

These two are the ones that helped me the most. Redeemed zoomer got me into christianity at first and then Kyle got me into Orthodoxy. Seeing these two together is crazy.
Why wasn't Christ and His word not enough for you? I'm interested in what grounds God didn't cover and why you decided to put your trust in traditions of men and recognize their authority over the authority of Christ and His word.
Hey Kyle, another Christian Zoomer here. I've been watching your videos quietly as I look into the truth of Orthodoxy. I really appreciated the difference in tone and cadence that you took with this conversation. This conversation was really easy to follow. Glory to the Triune God, and pray for me on my journey.
I edit all my videos with memes & sound effects. I treated him with respect but think of this Option 1: I do not edit video at all... => People don't watch as long because they loose attention span => people are confused on the issue because they don't know response to what RZ is saying or Option 2: I edit the video (like all my videos) => people watch the video longer because it is more engaging with memes & music => I let RZ speak but correct him when is wrong so people are not confused and know the truth
@@OrthodoxKyle I understand your point but I still don't like it, I suppose if RZ knew that was how you were going to do the video then it's okay, though still not particularly fair or balanced. I also suspect that I am not your target audience at all.

I feel so humbled that two young people are showing such leadership in coming together and having a grown up conversation about two very different Christo-centric experiences. The respect and humility you have towards each other, regardless of the events that brought you together, shows that there is so much hope. And for me personally speaking, that is exactly what Christ is; hope. Thank you both for such a wonderful hour and a half. God bless ✝☦
Kyle, your format of injecting immediate refutations and sound-bytes comes across as disrespectful. The implication of these edits is that you listen to refute - not to understand. This did not come across as a conversation to me, but rather as an attempt to undercut those who disagree with you at every turn. While Redeemed Zoomer acknowledged your points and charitably explored shortcomings of his tradition, you acknowledged nothing and came across as uncharitable. Honestly, I saw nothing gained for your channel except to regurgitate what you and yours already want to hear. I may not agree with Redeemed Zoomer on everything, but unity within the catholic Church is one where you and I seem to differ. May we both come to grow in one body into the Head which is Christ. Be blessed.
"mmediate refutations and sound-bytes comes across as disrespectful" That is literally how I edit ALL my videos and interviews. I am guessing this is first video you have seen of mine... "hese edits is that you listen to refute" All my videos are about debunking? showing Orthodoxy is true. "not to understand. This did not come across as a conversation to me" I would have had to constantly interupt him.. this was just a casual conversation. I understand his point but he is trying to boil down Christianity to lowest common denominator "just believe x" but Christianity is so much more! it is the Orthodox Church! "explored shortcomings of his tradition," But I showed how that was wrong. Much of my audience is new to Orthdoxy and it would be DANGEROUS and irresponsible of ME to not show them the truth. it could confuse and that would be liable on my soul. In 2020, my non-denom church had an Easter service streamed and we were told to grab anything we had in the house for communion. I realize now as an Orthodox catechumen how blasphemous and heretical that was. Lord have mercy on us.

Very distracting that you constantly put up memes and text whilst Reedemed Zoomer is talking to undermine his argument - if you want to undermine his argument you have to actually say those things you can’t retrospectively play noises and memes whilst he’s talking it’s kinda cheap
I was thinking exactly the same, a debate should be a conversation in which the audience decides who was most plausible. i thought that was very disrespectful, RZ would never do that on his channel

How DARE Kyle inform his audience of Protestant and Papal Protestant errors, doesn't he know we all would rather be blind sheep? It's called rhetoric, by the way. It's a form of argumentation. Sorry if I informed you of that, but I figured you might need to know what that is; so you don't go around accusing people falsely. I leave it to you to Google the definition, since you seem to be against people defining simple things for you, as Kyle did through his memes, and highlighted articles.
@@OrthodoxKyle I totally get your point. If I could still add a suggestion though, I would at least leave the sound bites out in a discussion like this in the future. I think they would be good for a response video or something, but during a conversation like this it ends up coming across rude. The footnotes are completely fine, but just the "WRONG" every time he speaks gets a bit obnoxious. Great conversation though!
These edits were done in bad faith. If you're truly on the side of truth, you shouldn't need a massive post-edit effort to bolster your side. Much respect to Redeemed Zoomer.
I wouldn't mind the edits if they were more respectful footnotes. It comes across like trying to dunk on RZ instead of just reflection. I don't know much about this guy though so I don't want to automatically assume his intent was bad.
Well, if he wanted a debate, organize it as a debate and Redeemed Zoomer would engage accordingly. Instead he's claiming it's just a discussion, but then post-editing rebuttals on top. Like when people do response or reaction videos rebutting someone else's points. Either have a debate and let the other side engage, or have a discussion and just talk, don't have a running caption saying "the other guy is actually wrong tho"
I hate to tell you, but as much as I hate to admit, the gates (defensive mechanism) have not only prevailed, but are growing stronger in their defense where the gates are now open and their troops are gaining ground. Just being honest.
Wow, this is edited in super bad faith. Why do you feel the need to undercut things he is saying by spamming memes over it? Especially when it's done after the fact, everyone knows that while speaking live you cannot perfectly think through what you're going to say. This is like when in the shower you think how you could've won that one argument- but you actually went and tried to edit the argument to strengthen your point. Also it's super ADHD, I can't concentrate.
What Redeemed Zoomer needs to realize about the human side and the divine side of the Church, is that much like Christ, this is in one hypostasis. He is flirting with a Nestorian ecclesiology. He also forgets that a fruit and sign of the Spirit is unity. Theologically and ecclesiastically. None of which is shared by Orthodox and RCC.
Before I began going to the nearby Orthodox church (OCA) I had this realization, I had to test out the line of argumentation, first, but using it made me become more confident in Orthodoxy. Raised non-denominational by my parents, became Lutheran in reaction to the fruit of the charismatic movement and am now Orthodox because of the fruit of the so called reformation. Pray for Saint Mary's Cathedral in Minneapolis that we may prepare correctly for the attempted 2025 reunion and not fall in line with the papists.
As an agnostic, it's so refreshing to listen to two enthusiastic Christian zoomers talk about their faith. In this day and age, it feels wholesome, even if I disagree about faith in God. I truly enjoy listening to you two 😊
Though occasionally humorous, I didn't care for the constant edits and captions. Your conversation was a good one, but these inserts not only distracted from it - but it actively made you look bad faith Kyle. Like you were using your platform to get extra dunks on Zoomer that you wouldn't or couldn't do in the moment. I actually agree with your POV more than Zoomer's, but I didn't care for those additions. I suggest leaving the memery to the beginning and/or the end. Or edit in a post-hoc clip of you clarifying your thoughts or what you think of Zoomer's points in a more straightforward manner. All these elements make it seem like you're just trying to dunk on him, which smacks of pride. But even if that wasn't your intent, they're distracting if nothing else.
I used to add to many memes in my videos / other people commented the same thing. I changed my approach. We had a follow up conversation: czcams.com/video/P2hNW_ltKDs/video.htmlsi=7v2U3m60lxIsBgJw God bless!
Correcting the video after the fact with the benefit of Google and other resources, as opposed to voicing your concerns during the actual discussion is really distasteful in my opinion. I’ll just not look at the screen and let your arguments stand by themselves. It’s a shame Redeemed Zoomer doesn’t get this third wall-breaking ability to correct you and your points on this video. It’s like you added a refutation to it.
" really distasteful in my opinion." how is distasteful to correct and show the truth? are you a relativist? does truth not matter? "opposed to voicing your concerns during the actual discussion is really distasteful in my opinion" Each one of brought up 10-20 poiints each time we talked. I let him get his argument out, but just offered correct because MUCH of my audience is new to Orthodoxy? It would be wrong to confuse my audience.. Hope you understand. God bless!
Personally, I think all the memes and sound effects come off as disrespectful towards your guest speaker. As someone who is considering which part of Christianity makes the most sense and trying to see both sides’ point of view, I really can’t take yours seriously if all you do is mock the other person’s position. Even if you were right, I wouldn’t want to consider being part of Orthodoxy if it leads to being so disrespectful and cocky.
You don’t want to be part of the true Church because you don’t like Kyle’s editing? Why do you care what sect you’re in if it’s based on feelings and tone?
My position also. It was also just distracting as a viewer. I was trying to listen to Redeemed Zoomer AND read the text. I get wanting to add what he didn’t get the chance to say, but he should have done that in a separate video, like some sort of reaction/response video. “Things I should have said/missed” video. What he did came across as unkind, which is a shame because he was very respectful in the actual debate.
@@TheRealRealOKYou do know your conduct matters, right? How are you going to draw people to “the truth church” if the fruits of the Spirit are not evident?
It is bad faith to argue through pictures and texts as the other speaker is making his point. It is not transparent and it does not allow the other speaker to address the objection or clarify his point.

Unecessary edits. The golden standard for "is this the same church" for me, and I would argue is logical for anyone really is: "Does this official teaching corrupt the original gospel (the words of Jesus Christ as he lived and died for us) get corrupted to the point where you will be damned" If it does teach that then we are not of the same church, so official Catholic teaching is a heresy and cannot be reconciled with any other Christian bodies for example. We all agree to follow the word of God, if you don't follow the word of God (the teachings of Jesus Christ) then you are not Christian. The old and new testament tells us all we need to know.
Listening to the rest of the talk, Redeemed Zoomer doesn’t want to acknowledge the boundaries of the Church, yet it was a council of a Church that doesn’t resemble his church, that established and decided the canon of the New Testament. Council of Carthage to be exact. He quotes Timothy, but it is in Timothy, that we see the verse “the Church is the pillar and ground of truth”. Furthermore, he doesn’t believe councils are guided by the Holy Spirit but then he categorically rejects the council of Jerusalem in Acts 15…he isn’t sure what he believes or why. He was a great guest though. Very civil.

Brother, a point on doing these conversations - it seems in the moment you were either lost for words or holding back, and put stronger arguments as text overlays rather than making the point to your guest. If this is done because you “didn’t want to go there”, and wanted to keep it more conversational, I’d say to you - speak truth, in the moment, to the person you are talking to. This is true confession. If this is done out of not having the words in the moment, I’d recommend you prepare yourself better in research, prayer, and counsel from your priest and elders in your church. I appreciate the conversation, but I must say as an Orthodox Christian I wish our faith were argued for more fervently to the person you were speaking to - not simply in text on a screen. Please remember, if you are to speak for The Church, you must do so very carefully and cautiously as to not cause confusion or detriment to those listening. I pray a continued fire for the Lord, resilience and humility in your life.
I stumbled across this video today. As an atheist myself - curious about Christianity - I've loved to watch this debate between Kyle and Redeemed Zoomer. I grew up as an atheist and my parents are still atheist. I have never read the bible or have involved myself in Christianity or any other religion or whatsoever. I just did my own thing and never asked questions about the force of the universe or whatsoever. I simply didn't care about that or find myself intrigued by it. Now, as I approach 30, I experience that I've been drawn to Christianity and that I become more interested in it. Because I'm looking at having purpose and meaning in my life. I know that this can be achieved in other ways, but still I have found myself attracted to Christianity. I can't explain it, it's just a feeling that I have. Some part of me says that I should convert from atheist to Christian, some part of me says that this is not the proper way and that I have not researched this topic enough, which is true, but I still have this feeling.
I am 20. I am an agnostic from an agnostic/Atheist family, and I am currently also having an interest in all major religions, I have 50% of me, I want to convert Christianity or Buddhuism, but the other half want me to stay agnostic and non religious. I hope in the near future, I will make my final decision and I will be a peace with that. Thank you

Protestantism isn't Christianity No saints, no liturgy, no forgiveness of sins, no Apostolic succession, etc Why would we call them Christians? So they feel good? To give them communion? To approve of their doctrines? To confirm their belief in being saved? Answer is NO
@@klutchedup9 all Apostolic Churches, even heretical schismatics like the Nestorians, have priests who hear and have authority to forgive sins. Without that and without the Real Presence there is no forgiveness. How can we receive the Blood of Christ, shed for our forgiveness, without the Real Presence in the wine? Only a valid priest can consecrate the Bread and Wine and only a valid priest can hear the confession of sins. Perhaps in a special circumstance God can do these outside of communion and outside of the Church to those who truly repent and have never heard of any Apostolic Church, maybe, like Baptism of Desire or something But that is uncommon and protestants are quite strong in their denial and hatred of any Apostolic practices, like priesthood, images, Real Presence, confession, etc. Basically all the sacraments are look down on by Protestants as superstition or corruption. If that is true then they're no different from Muslims in claiming the same God, the same Jesus, the same Moses, etc, while denying the living Body of Christ on Earth that is his Church. If simply praying in private for forgiveness was enough and Faith Alone was enough then there would be no priesthood. No matter how much they pray in vain to their false God, JWs, Mormons, and all false religions cannot be forgiven for their very real sins, we all sin. If they did receive forgiveness then we would join them

Just one note for the audience, at 18:12 you show an example of a Presbyterian pastor saying Baptism doesn't save, but it shows that he's a PCA pastor.

Well said!

The golden standard for "is this the same church" for me, and I would argue is logical for anyone really is:

If it does teach that then we are not of the same church, so official Catholic teaching is a heresy and cannot be reconciled with any other Christian bodies for example.

As a former calvinist turned baptists, who is now a Catholic, this video was interesting! I hope you guys both come back to the true Church!
Haha seriously. I think they will. It will become more obvious who the true Church is once it gets worse
God bless Brother.
Both of these young men are VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE on the topics discussed. I commend them for their study habits and pray for truth to win out
It’s so great to see two members of our generation spreading the Word on CZcams.
I like to do chores and tasks as i "watch" youtube. I catch all the Oofs and Wrongs, but miss so much meaning & humor layered in the visual edits. Undivided attention for full class credit.
PS as a mom to a zoomer, i love gen z humor and media--so glad you two platform Christianity in the youtube sphere, i pray for you both.
Orthodoxy is always wins. Christ bless you☦️
God bless!
Calvinism is cringe
I used to be such a protestant "extremist" I thought all other denominations were sinful and not of God, until I started watching Redeemed Zoomer, now I'm Catholic, thanks to him, my views on other denominations have changed massively. Glory to God
You’re almost home!
@@Val.Kyrie. No, Catholicism is true Christianity.
@@sebjfahey Amen
@boz11100 Praying for y'all. I think this generation of Catholics will be the ones to allow Priests to marry, remove the Filioque, and return to tradition. It took Vatican II, but we're finally seeing Catholics come to their senses.
This feels like a second Nick Fuentes VS Jay Dyer.
hahha
As a former Calvinist, turned Atheist who converted to Hinduism and then Islam, now an Orthodox Christian who finally converted from Catholicism I enjoyed this. (jk tho)
Thank you Kyle and Redeemer Zoomer, you both are good young representatives for each faith. Loved the pace of the conversation and the respect showed for each other beliefs. Glory to God ☦!
28:09 Funny because the councils are how You get the “scripture”
Theological smorgasbord. Pick and choose what tastes better.
My 2 favorite Zoomer Christian Channels talking?
CROSSOVER OF THE CENTURY!
May God bless you both. Christ is King
thanks God bless!
you and zoomer helped me decide orthodoxy was right for me. y’all are workers of the kingdom
Glory to God ☦☦ happy for you!
works dont save you jesus' work on the cross does
he died for all of our sins he didnt die for some of our sins he died for all of our sins
The video could’ve been better if you didn’t add the memes in post production. It comes off as a little arrogant.
Where in the Bible does it say we can't use memes???
I will pray that you find the truth brother🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
It would be cool to see a Kyle vs Zoomer debate on evolution
maybe haha
I strayed from the faith for a while.
Following my own whims and desires. Redeemed Zoomer brought me back to Christianity. Orthodox Kyle cemented me in the Orthodoxy. I can say I’ve never been so at peace for a while but it feels good to be back in the Pursuit of God
Glory be to God. Indeed I was lost and he guided me back to him!!!
Protestantism isn't Christianity
No saints, no liturgy, no forgiveness of sins, no Apostolic succession, etc
Why would we call them Christians? So they feel good? To give them communion? To approve of their doctrines? To confirm their belief in being saved?
Answer is NO
Wdym no forgiveness of sins?
@@klutchedup9 all Apostolic Churches, even heretical schismatics like the Nestorians, have priests who hear and have authority to forgive sins. Without that and without the Real Presence there is no forgiveness. How can we receive the Blood of Christ, shed for our forgiveness, without the Real Presence in the wine? Only a valid priest can consecrate the Bread and Wine and only a valid priest can hear the confession of sins.
Perhaps in a special circumstance God can do these outside of communion and outside of the Church to those who truly repent and have never heard of any Apostolic Church, maybe, like Baptism of Desire or something
But that is uncommon and protestants are quite strong in their denial and hatred of any Apostolic practices, like priesthood, images, Real Presence, confession, etc. If they did receive forgiveness then we would join them
@@delgande So God can't forgive sin if I ask Him/confess to Him? I don't have to ability to communicate with God?
@@klutchedup9 did Jesus have to die? Why couldn't anyone just ask for forgiveness?
@@delgande I'm only a freshman in HS (13 yrs.), so I'm sincerely asking, I thought that the Levites were the ones who were assigned the priesthood in the OT, but since Jesus died for our sins, He can forgive us of our sins because He is our Mediator. I'm just really confused because my whole life I believe that Orthodox, Catholics, and Protestants were Christian, but I'm know learning that my church is just a group of heretics and I want to actually know God if that's the case and not burn in hell.
As a baptist, I deeply resonate with the importance of a worshipful, sacrificial heart to God (Psalms 51). I do have fault with how we worship together. It’s a big part of our services, yet it is often lacking in communal substance. I also think many baptists get the sacraments wrong and that the Lord’s Supper should be way more central to our liturgy. Massive respect for the piety that Orthodoxy holds. Love these two, glad to hear them discuss in a respectful manner as a fellow zoomer! God bless you both!
Instead of the edits it would be much cooler if you actually responded
He was too scared to respond during conversation lol
Really glad you guys decided to do this. I definitely agree more with you Kyle and if you’re ever in Houston I hope we can hang out. RZ while I disagree with your theology you are very eloquent and I’ve sent your videos to secular or spiritual people alike as introductions to the faith because you have good breakdowns and I can’t expect everyone to just immediately accept Orthodoxy.
I remain of firmly Orthodox. However this has been great.
The Pharisees tried to understand the laws of God as what is "important for salvation" and what is "not essential for salvation.
Mark 7: ""And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition!""
In the same way, the Ecumenical Protestants ignore/reject teachings that they deem to be not essential for salvation.
I was lucky to be born and grow in a very Orthodox Christian country,România!
Here Orthodoxy is so embedded in our day-to-day lives,to the point where you can't separate Orthodoxy from the Romanian way of life!
Kyle, listening to you was such a pleasure for me and I think you represented Orthodoxy very well,it would be nice if you would have another debate Orthodox vs. Catholics,Protestants and Neoprotestants.
It’s very irritating that you’re adding all those comments for your theses in post production. Like it’s a bit unfair don’t you think? Try to respond in real time!
I'm glad this conversation is happening, we need more people discussing these things across the borders of Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox! Even though Kyle's arguments did not convince me, and I found the edits to be annoying, he still had many good points, and he's doing good just publicly discussing this. Thank you for the video!

"I found the edits to be annoying" I am guessing you are new viewer... Check out my other videos. always edit with memes & eveything.,...
" he still had many good points"
Thank you
"good just publicly discussing this. "
Yes, discussing is key! we want to get to truth! God bless!
Two absolute legends. I always learn a lot from watching both of them.
thanks!
Couldn't finish. Kyle acts like its a friendlt discussion but then is disrespectful in his editing. Obviously orthodox dont think we're all Christians. They think they're the only Christians. If thats the case, Christianity itself is a lot smaller than we thought.
Yes, we see all Heterodox as those foolish virgins in the Bible awaiting Bridegroom but with the empty oil lamps... Where there is no light, darkness reigns.
What’s with all the random sound board stuff? I felt like that was sort of unfair to frame the discussion like that
Agreed.
Yeah super dishonest
@@notblackgymmax. How is it dishonest? What is Kyle lying about?
@@notblackgymmax dishonest "Disposed to lie, cheat, defraud, or deceive."

I let redeemd zoomer explain his point.. But i have to correct him when he is teaching error.
Much of my audeince is new to Orthodoxy and I do NOT want to confuse them

"unfair to frame the discussion" I didn't want to constantly interuput RZ.. I just needed to show clairifications WHEN he taught something wrong so audience is not confused.
