I have to read into this more. I have heard from a monk that there was more to Chalcedon. There was an element of Greek vs. Non-Greek to it and that the EO and OO are more so 1st cousins. Although the churches are not in communion, I think there is an understanding among priests to turn a blind eye to Orientals that visit EO churches and partake of communion.

I'm agnostic, I believe religions are tools... even from a purely historical sense the idea that a religion that was made hundreds of years after the others somehow being the most legitimate is moronic and ego centric at best. Not to mention the ideas Muslims hold in regards to Jesus are contradictory within their own texts, according to them Jesus ascended to heaven through a hole in the roof while someone was made to look like him and die in his place... also their claims to things like inventing flight because a man kept jumping off of tall buildings and plummeting to earth. I haven't met one pastor that I don't disagree with or find blatant inexcusable hypocrisy in, but when you have mutual conversations with God and encounter literal demons every day it's pretty much impossible for me to "Deconvert". The only way a Christian can abandon their faith is if they don't even know for sure if God exists or not, but if you seriously don't know if God exists then you're not a Christian, you're just a hypocritical fraud pretending to be apart of something that you're clearly not.
