JJ just stares at you.
"What?" You ask.
"So you're saying it could happen?" JJ raises an eyebrow.
You resist the urge to grab him and kiss him, trying to play it cool.
"I don't know. Why don't you find out?" You smirk.
JJ stands up from his seat and makes his way to where you're standing, stopping about a foot away from you.
"You sure?" He asks, putting his hand on the side of your face.
Breathing in his familiar and calming scent of the beach and cologne, you smile and nod your head.
He steps closer and leans in, gently pressing his lips against yours.
Butterflies erupt in your stomach as he deepens the kiss.
You wrap your arms around him, entwining your fingers in his soft hair.
He brings his hands down to your waist and pulls you closer to him while he kisses you passionately.
It feels like a dream to have him this close to you... to be kissing him.
He grabs your legs and wraps them around his waist, breaking the kiss.
"You have no idea how much I want you right now, Y/n. How long I've been wanting you." JJ looks deep into your eyes and you blush.
"I want you too JJ. A lot." You say.
You kiss him again and he carries you into your bedroom, shutting the door.

*Part 2 just for funsies*
*backstory* - This is in y/n POV and you were left alone in the house with JJ while the rest of the pogues we’re off at Mrs Crains house. Let’s assume they all left without you and JJ knowing because you were in the middle of an argument, since you have a rocky relationship. I do this is storybook style rather than POV style so 🤷♀️
The hot tension in the air fizzles as I look into his sky blue eyes, trying to read his emotions. Just like magnets, we’re being drawn together, and I find myself leaning closer to him where he sits beside me on the couch. The tentative warmth of the moment is shattered when John B slams the door open and trudges inside, covered head-to-toe in thick mud. He storms off to a different room of the house, Sarah trailing behind him. She stops in front of us, a question in her eyes as she slides her gaze from my flushed and guilty face to JJ’s smug smile.
Her voice wavers as she mutters “It’s.. it’s gone..”
Before I have time to ask her what she means, Kie and Pope stroll into the house. Pope looks defeated and follows Sarah and John B to wherever they went. Kie plops herself on the couch between me and JJ, smashing me against the side cushion. She exhales heavily.
Her voice is flat as she says, “when we got to Crain’s house, Ward had already bought the property and had started *she does quotations marks in the air with her hands* ‘renovations’… he got the gold.. every. single. bar. Everything we’ve been through has been for nothing. I mean- I almost got my head blown off by a blind granny with a shotgun! And for what?!” Anger is slowly creeping into her voice.
She shoots to her feet and stomps off. JJ gives me a quick glance before following her. I sit there in awkward silence, processing what I just heard. I was surprised John B, Sarah, Pope, and Kie would give up so quickly after we fought so hard to get the gold and help John B fulfill Big Johns legacy. Especially since I already had a genius plan on how to steal it back..

*Part two of my part two*
_Backstory_- JJ and Y/n haven’t ever gotten along.. there’s always been this silent competition between them of who could be crazier- for example, JJ steals a $ bill from someone’s purse, y/n steals the whole purse- or y/n front flips off the back of the boat, JJ backflips off of the boat while its speeding across the water. Silly things like that somehow made them the best frenemies (friend + enemy) someone could ask for. They’d die for each other, but can never have a civil conversation.
_Before every new part I will reveal a little bit of backstory that’s probably irrelevant but gives the characters more depth (hopefully 😂)_
*onto the real story*
I had a plan to steal back the gold and figured I only had one night to do it. I knew if I told anyone what I was plotting they’d want to come with me- but I couldn’t let that happen. I crept out onto the porch of the chateau and riffled through the mess of blankets and clothes, collecting my things. I had slept on the porch last night after another huge blowout argument with JJ that left me unable to sleep in the same house as him. I had nowhere else to go however, so it was either JJ or the skeeters. Obviously I chose the skeeters. I gathered my items, scheming in my head. I was already feeling jittery and my body hummed with anticipation. I dug my hand into a pile of clothes and hit my knuckle against something metal. I fished out JJ’s gun and held it gingerly, watching it sparkle in the moonlight. I glanced over my shoulder at the house as I considered pocketing the gun. I felt guilty stealing from my friends, but it was only JJ.
“Y/n?”
I jumped and the weapon flew out of my hand and banged against side of house before clattering to the wooden floor. I winced and spun around.
Pope was standing in the doorway.
“What are you doing with the gun?”
“Shhh!! I was just looking at it- I wasn’t going to steal it! Please don’t tell anyone I’m leaving,” I begged.
He raised an eyebrow, ever the level-headed and intuitive boy I’d known since kindergarten.
“Leaving to go where exactly? Is this about the gold? Look y/n, you weren’t there. You can’t change what happen-“ understanding spread across his face.
“You’re going to talk to _him_ aren’t you?” His tone was grim.
I felt like a kid who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
“Pope, I have to try. And you have to understand- I had a real friendship with _him_ while I was kook. He might still help me.”
There was shuffling inside the house behind Pope and I groaned as Sarah squeezed by Pope and onto the porch, rubbing her eyes and yawning.
“Y/n? What was all that racket?” She studied me, and then the gun still discarded on the floor. I went to pick it up and shoved it in my hoodie pocket. Her brow furrowed, “why do you need that?”
“I’m- im going to talk to your brother…. Im hoping-“ Sarah cut me off.
“You’re doing what? If you think he can or will help you’re wrong! He chose his side when he became my dads lapdog and betrayed me- you can’t possibly think he’ll treat you any different?!” She was yelling now and I was pleading silently that she didn’t alert anyone else.
“Busted,” Pope said in a sing-song voice.
I felt trapped and my blood was pounding in my ears. My stomach was flip flopping with the same anxiety that I was disappointing people as I had fought with my whole life.
“Sarah I-“
JJ stumbled out of the house and opened his mouth, most likely to interrogate me, but I was done playing games. I sprinted out onto the lawn and threw myself onto my bike. I sped off into the night, glancing back once to see Sarah following me on her bike. I knew I couldn’t stop them from tracking me, so I was grateful to see Pope and JJ arguing where I had left them. I could handle Sarah tagging along, but not the boys.
“How could you let her go, man? She’s gonna get hurt!” I heard JJ yell in the distance.
“Look dude, you know y/n! Once she has a plan there’s no stopping her.”
“Pope, I am *this* close to losing my mind on you right now! You know how much I care about her- I mean.. you- uh- you know how crazy she can be..!“
The rest of their conversation was drowned out by the heavy beating of my own heart in my ears. I must have zoned out because the next thing I knew I was standing at the door of the Cameron’s house, raising my fist to knock.
“You sure you wanna do this?” Sarah rolled up beside me on her bike.
I inhaled shakily, “it’s our only chance.”
