What is eczema
Eczema, otherwise known as atopic dermatitis, affects more than 30 million people in the US to some degree. And it usually appears on your face, elbows, knees, hands or feet. And can be really frustrating, since all that redness and inflammation can look alarming, and although the exact cause of eczema is not known, what we do know, is that certain environmental factors contribute to those flare ups.
Eczema treatment tips for atopic dermatitis and how to treat eczema
Firstly in order to treat eczema. Make sure to moisture after bathing and when your skin feels dry with eczema. You want your skin hydrated enough to form a barrier between you and the world.
Secondly to treat eczema on face. Learn the rules of showering with eczema and change your eczema skincare. There are 5 rules you need to follow next time you take a bath. One: shower at least once a day, 2: use only lukewarm water, never hot, 3: limit the shower to 10 minutes. 4: Do not scrub the skin. And 5: Switch your soap for a gentle cleanser instead.
Thirdly. Make sure that you are using a clothing detergent that is fragrance free and dye free, a detergent for eczema. The wrong laundry product can be a real nightmare for those flare ups.
Fourthly, its the clothes for eczema, especially for eczema on hands. Make sure you wear loose clothing made with 100% cotton. The reason why is because polyester can trap heat, and wool can irritate the skin. So sticking with 100% cotton, bamboo or silk, can make all the difference.
Fifthly, its the eczema skincare plan. Make sure you always patch test new products. Only because there could be other ingredients in skin care products which can also cause a flare-up. So to that is apply a small amount to an area that you dont normally flare up with eczema, wait 24 hours, and if there is no reaction and your skin remains clear after 24 hours, then you can say that the new product is less likely to cause eczema flare ups.
Sixthly. Reduce stress. Stress reduction techniques such as deep breathing and meditation, and just looking for areas where you can reduce stress in your life can help prevent an eczema flare-up.
Lastly. Get to know all the possible triggers for eczema and the foods to avoid for eczema. Some can be food triggers like: cows milk, eggs, peanuts, and soy. And others can be pet fur, pollen, mold, and the very insidious one being dust mites.

Who else is here during a flair up
My skin around my eyes is red and on fire 🔥 it's so miserable
Contact dermatitis for two weeks. I'm lathered up with Aquaphor 😔
Me. Blisters the size of nickles on my feet
I have severe eczema on top of my feet and the nerves under the skin is unbearably painful.
@@cynthiabuttry6549I have it on my arms my hands my neck my legs face and ears, it currently is so much better than what it was 1month ago.
Sir , Cold season can increase eczema. But you will be surprised to hear that. I have Eczema from childhood. but cold season is the best season for me when I am 99.99 % cured
For me too .
Try deworming your body
Me too. I supposed that I am the only one
No one would be surprised that cold increases eczema. But if it increases it, that would be the worst, not the best. Maybe English isn't your first language
@@emilyboyer9211 Not the point. She or he meant that the eczema disappears in cold weather so it is the best season
If u have to wear gloves to clean but find they make your eczema worse once your hands sweat (even if using latex-free/vinyl/PVC/nitrile) try buying gloves 2 sizes up and wearing thin cotton gloves beneath them. Has helped w the glove issue for me as my hands are always in water/cleaning!
Those are excellent tips. Thank you for sharing that! 😊
THANKS for sharing your thoughts and good luck
Go to an allergist. Get tested. Blood and skin prick. It's gonna save you a lot of time.
I use Vaseline as a moisturizer . And cycle that with CeraVe. Good luck. And.
.. * in your moms voice* " don't pick at it"
Deworming aczema disappear
lol anytime I'd instinctively start scratching my skin, Ma would always say that then proceed to drench the spot with moisturizer 🤣🤣
same here use Vaseline
How much did you pay for an allergy test? Do you have health insurance?
So what was causing your eczema?
I’ve been having eczema for nearly 11 years. It happened to me at age 36. I never knew about eczema until I got it. I went to see a dermatologist 2 years ago. I asked her “has it ever happened to people where they get when they are adults then 20 years later it goes away?” She said “Yes”. Because I’ve met someone he told me he had it when he was a baby.
Deworm will help
Great information thanks 👍👍👍💜
Great tips for eczema 😃
I’m thinking of moving! Lol, like someone else said, It seems like my cure is cold weather! Summer time kills me!!! Lately got turned on to all natural black currant seed oil. Some people and doctors are saying it’s the best thing yet for eczema! Gonna give it a shot 🤞🏼
Thanks so much Doctor
Most welcome!
Top tipps,thank you.
Thank you doctor. That sounds great. The most thing that relieve me during stress is Quran and praying.
Kabooom 💣
@Dr.Arsalan Aspires What other products could i use i am from UK
i've had major flares nothing would stop it. Noticed it was dairy. Now still consuming some but lactose free. Could it still cause outbreaks?
Try Balmonds Skin Salvation and also Yellow soft paraffin , Vanicream has alcohol in it a known trigger itself
Fasting, diet, natural remedies, that's all
I have had very bad eczema since 3 months old, along with Ichthyosis vulgaris. With the IV I have to scrub my skin to get all the dry skin off otherwise I always look like I’m peeling, I also noticed my eczema got much better when I entered puberty but now it’s going back to really bad now that I’m in menopause. So hormones must play a strong role in this,
Same here.....I got it under control in my 20s. Pregnancy was wonderful for me. And now, at 52, it's back.....I think it's my living environment. This building is over 100 years old and the dust mites are tracking in whatever has been festering inside the walls. I don't use the central heat, just a space heater, but I think the fan on that is stirring things up. I've stopped using heat and sleep under a weighted blanket, along with many layers, because it's 15-20 degrees at night. It's actually very pleasant. And I keep shea butter beside my bed. As soon as I catch myself scratching in my sleep, I wake up and grab the Shea butter. I have also ordered silver sheets as a gift to myself for Xmas, as well as a portable washer/dryer for my bathroom so I can do laundry more often (otherwise I have to go to the laundromat).
Also, summer time and temperatures above 70.....I used a window AC unit and fan last year but idk..... there's a condemned building right outside my bedroom window. I'm pretty sure that the AC was sucking in the dust mites from there. It's going to be torn down in 2024, but all that's going to do is release everything into the air! I wonder if FEMA can give me a hotel room for a week? If not, I'm going to pay for it myself.....this is unbearable!
Me too .
Try goat milk soap.
Such great information. Would you suggest slugging the body at night for exczema? What are your thoughts on dupixcent injections for exczema?
what annoys the hell out of me is labels on the inside of clothes why do they have to fit them 🤦♂
After shower apply coconut oil on the affected skin. This is effective
Bio oil is good
These tips do help, but if you can get some sort of treatment like methotrexate or ciclosporin, it helps. So try and get in touch with a dermatologist and see if you can get one of those treatments if these tips aren't as effective.
Why would you recommend a cancer drug like methotrexate with vicious side effects when protopic will cure it in one week.
Ive never had eczema now at 45. I have it on my back, neck, hair line, in hair. What happen??? All of a sudden :(
Are you dealing with a lot of stress? Did you move to a new location that is cold or dry or heavily polluted? Did you develop a food sensitivity/allergy? Do you have a vitamin D or zinc or omega 3 deficiency? Do you have a gut microbiome imbalance? Some things to look into as a possible cause of your eczema.
TCM have some very effective remedies and ideas, And a very sophisticated method of ascertaining allergies
The best skin care - this concerns an eczema too - will be to swallow regularly 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil, this the best early in the morning on an empty stomach. In this manner you will be able to eliminate all the waste deposed in your intestines, for the Chinese medicine knows upon the assignment: skin --> bowels.

Dr gboya on CZcams can help
try oat bath
Pro tip use regeneron
Just started getting it like 6 months apart (seasonal) i started probiotics and L-Lysine and in one week i was 60% clear, coconut oil is a Godsend but oddly when i did a herbal yeast cleanse (Candida) poof all symptoms and rash gone. You hit it so accurately when you said avoid hot water!! I didn't do that cuz the scalding water was the only thing numbing the itching and burning 👌 you nailed it again with eggs and certain foods, i love how relaxing you speak, and your tips are accurate!! I still say go herbsl if you can because you benefit some other way if the rash doesn't go...but I promise you L-Lysine, and Candiclear will tame it or knock it out, ladies if you can relate to the under tata area and armpits, you will feel and look you again after taking the above mentioned items🎉 tip, mixing a capsule of Candi Clear in Vaseline as a salve is epic.
I appreciate all your tips! Great info and work.
I have eczema. Can you please elanborate on what you do to treat it?
What do I need for my eczema it's slow going way I have it every on my body like my legs and my feet 🐾🐾 and my arms
Regeneron
I have permanent solution for Eczema. No any food restriction, No creams, No medicines. But Just a single unique Natural Method. You can live life like a normal human.
Definition of cure is simple. One should be able to do every thing that an average person is able to do.
For a diabetic, he should be able to consume sugar. For a BP patient he should be able to consume salt.
For an acidity patient he should be able to eat spices as much as any other person is able to. Taking a bland diet is just temporary
See description for my contact
Is it very catchy
if i wanted to see an ad i watch qvc.....
I have it on both my ears 😅😢
Jesus!! Its stress for me ! Both recent (DEPRESSING) flare ups ive had was 100% due to stress. Recently broke uo with my girlfriend of 7 years and my body and face has been going crazy
Any other tips out there to reduce stress or non at all?? Im despret . Thank you!
Take comfort in this gem, for the future. So, right now you’re possibly heartbroken, which is arguably the worst stress that a man will ever know(many possible reasons for heartbreak also I know). I’ve been there for sure. A couple of serious times, and one of them was extremely toxic, I mean we were nothing short of poison to each other. But for some reason that only god knows, we still love and therefore are vulnerable. Anyway, what’s my point, I know I’m dragging it out, loll. Depending on your age, you’ll undoubtedly heal, and eventually start seeking another potential companion. My advice is this…set a non negotiable standard for the next woman. Get as detailed as you want, but be realistic and very serious in holding true to this. At least as long as possible. Write your needs and standards down on paper neatly. All seems obvious and probably a little strange so far right? Here is the kicker. Your number one standard, that you absolutely must adhere to, for this to have a chance at actual happiness is, her birth sign/month (zodiac) must be the direct mirror opposite of yours. 6 months apart. Example: If you’re Ares, she must be a Libra. If you don’t believe in that or you think it actually has zero to do with anything, I implore you to consider it, and open your mind, while doing the proper research on this. I didn’t believe this shit for most of my life (I’m 41) but I finally snapped out of the mainstream way of thinking, that we were taught. Not only does this matter, it’s absolutely everything, in regards to compatibility and more importantly, chemistry. At least give it a shot! I know that you will find out it’s true, if you do this!
Signing off here mate. Good luck!
I have had many stresses and breakdowns. Please look into TSW videos. I had some relieve with NMT extremally. You will learn as you watch all the same symptom's it's not just eczema. It's Topical Steroid Withdrawal.
@deegma1 Yessss!!! I have TSW!. Its my 2nd time im experiencing it.! I follow the group on Facebook ITSAN Topical steroid withdrawal. Im currently 6 months in. Really considering going in Dupixent for a break well needed 😞
Take ashgawanda it helps with the stress , go to the gym , and meditation 👌
Try GABA.
Do I have to suffer from eczema for the rest of my life?🙂🙂
My child has eczema and it's very hard. I would suggest try a natural medicine but mainly its all about what u can eat and what u need to avoid. Eat plenty veg and get rid of white flour. Otherwise doctors will have us on creams and meds for life
No, see a functional medicine doctor who will help you find the root cause of your eczema instead of a doctor who will carelessly give you steroids for the rest of your life.
10 min Luke warm showers. I’ll keep the flares😂😂
Advice for a runner who sweats 12 kilometers everyday?
Me when you’re living in Florida OK most of the year is humid and hot extremely hot and I’m sort of a K even though sometimes it can get to 115° but literally this week the temperature drop to 77 and I think I’m having a flareup and he said wear gloves when cold, and I’m just like this is getting ridiculous😂😂😂😂#eczema in Miami
Nope
Deworm your body aczema will gone forever'

@@wishrence6905 I don't know much English but I'm trying to explain you
Your body react of such type of protine in your interstine that body can't digest because that protine is the outer layer of parasites it can be tapeworms roundworms etc etc after taking deworming tablets you will found that your itching stops your aczema starting disappear
Medicine should be taken by doctor advice
