Third from last comp of the year, and we were out the back of the Island this time, back at Shepherdds Chine, was hoping for a ray, but wasn't to be, still managed second though, and had my fist sole, pretty good one too at 2lb 2oz. Well happy

Yeah it's really annoying seeing all the rubbish, and it always surprises me the amount of stuff anglers leave behind, it's such a shame when something like that happens to a dog. It only takes a small few to ruin it for everyone 👍🎣🎣

Good Morning Dylan , That was a cracking big sole mate well done , it doesn't matter where you go there is always angler's that spoil it for everybody , i remember fishing the local quayside one sunday morning & i picked up about 12 empty beer bottles to think there was a bin not 10 feet away , take care & stay safe , tight lines

Hey Dylan, you smashed it...Great Sole you'll enjoy that. I had a quick session in Newport by the Newport rowing club, by way of a change...the rubbish was just crazy...it such a shame. Had couple of bass nothing to get excited about..but fish. Tight line mate.

I’ve just bought 2 of the shimano reels you use & I must say what a brilliant reel.

Thanks David, just lucky mate, right place right time. Was super chuffed though. Especially after getting my bream. Those reels are great, super light and super smooth. I have just managed to get a couple of the aeros second hand, picking them up later. I really like the Shimano reels. Much lighter then the Penn's👍👍🎣🎣

Another excellent video. One hell of a sole to break your duck, better than any I've had. Thanks for taking the time to show us viewers your rigs in such detail - makes it a very interesting watch & gives us food for thought. The litter problem is human nature, they probably wouldn't do it in their own back yard, so why do they do it when they're out in such a beautiful place? Laziness, lack of respect for others/nature? Who knows. The infuriating thing is that it it so easy for it not to happen. They carried the stuff down there so why not take it back to a bin when it's virtually weightless? I'll stop my rant. Unfortunately we don't do the weigh in at the end of the night, it's done the following day, we have a rough idea though obviously, a few calls up and down the beach. But we never know for sure until later. 👍🎣🎣

It's such a shame that people do it. I know accidents happen, wind blows something away etc. But it really isn't difficult to leave the beach with what you take down. Was chuffed with the sole, especially for my first one. Fortunately I came second on the night, so I'm still in the lead overall, just two comps left👍🎣🎣🙏
