Ahh, even if I buy something unrelated? How does that work? I am going to buy one of those air filters from Amazon to keep the mullet alive in the bucket.. so want to make sure I do it the right way.
@@light487 hi mate, yes the aerators work very well! From what I understand, Amazon has got a tracking system where if someone clicks through to Amazon using any of my links, and then starts shopping for other stuff while they're there, it gives me a small commission on anything that is bought within 24 hours. Thanks for your support!
Thanks heaps for all the amazing content I really look forward to it is like to know a bit more about your businesses perhaps I can get involved in some way looking for a tree change up your way if this is something of interest my name is Mitch mcbride I emailed you a while back thanks mate
Would your techniques work on Atlantic Canadian beaches? Or are they warm water necessary?
@esperago Hey Esperago. I'm from New Brunswick, I was thinking the same thing, I don't see any reason why not, use night crawlers and give it a try. I'm in Texas for the winter, but returning soon.
You and I sir, spending an hour or two on the beach whether they bite or not, would have a grand time. That's what it's all about. Km's of beach with no one in sight but the water and the sound of the waves.. how beautiful. This is the first video I see from you, but not the last.. going to the next now 🙂 Thank you.
Preparation certainly gives you more fishing time. Another informative and enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing Roger.
Thank you for this most straight forward and most educating fishing video I've seen showing the basics
Some people are just naturally good at explaining things and you are one of them...i enjoyed that video.cheers and hello from Western Australia.
couldn't agree more
I often catch nothing. Know what? It doesn't matter as a lot of times just getting out is enough to give that life pause we all need occasionally.
Absolutely Ian
I first heard the reply "That's why it's called fishing and not catching!" in a well patronised tackle shop in Brissie as a newbie to the area - so true!
A bad day of fishing is far better than a good day elsewhere
@@allonzo202 and golf is for those tortured souls who can’t fish! 🤪😂
I'm in Norway and I've been catching cod and pollock by the boat load all year, and now it's gone totally dead.
This clip is a welcome break from the usual gamefishing and trolling videos. It just brings us back to basic beach fishing and all the fun that entails. Good one!!!
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks, Roger, very informative and enjoyable to watch.
This was great, Roger - having family commitments means as anglers we need to seize whatever opportunity is presented to us. Often it these short sessions under less than ideal conditions which teach us a lot about adjusting and getting the job done.
You find joy in every session just being out there
People have harem commitments too, a much more sustainable way for society to function. People have time pressures for all sorts of reasons, no need to mention harems and families.
@@vsstdtbs3705 Think you've missed the point of the vlog - it's a fishing vlog not a political one.
I'm like you family guys with kids, I'm married, I work 2 jobs, I don't have any kids LOL OK Rog ya got me. I have 3 kids
Great video, I regularly get asked what's the best time to fish, my answer is always the same "when I can" its more important to learn your area and adapt technique to the opportunities available so in my area high tide in close. Low tide further out then then other factors come into play time of day season etc. but its mostly about knowing the area and fishing at any time.
Thank you so much Mr. Roger Osborne for the basics of beach fishing. Basics will become a foundation of catching fish, harvesting worms out on the beach. Basics when practiced is the forever technique we will have, thanks to you. More power. From San Jose, California. Rene Q.
Thanks Rene 👍🏼
Another awesome video Roger. Thanks mate. You make it look so easy
Catching that worm just blew my mind! Never seen that before!
I'm with ya on that one! Crazy!
Hey Roger! I was just further up towards the sand spit last week and used your advice and ended up catching some nice tailor, salmon, bream, flatties and a couple rays/sharks. Luckily i filmed the experience so the video will be up in a few weeks
That's great, let me know when you have uploaded the video!
Im in the midwest, we have lakes and rivers to fish. Catching and fighting to land the fish is the best experience in your life that you dont want to miss. Nice video and FISH ON!

Mr. Roger I truly enjoy your videos and event we are few miles away from each other I have learned a lot from you in few videos, I am located in USA Texas state to be exactly but like you I enjoy the ocean and the challenge of catching fish but mostly enjoy the sound of the ocean and the relaxing time. Many blessings to you and thank you for sharing your adventures.🙏🏻👏🏻
I don't usually comment but my partner and I recently discovered your channel and I've only started this fishing adventure as I'm now on the coast of WA. No beach worms here 😢 We leave your videos on in the background even if we're not watching. We love it mate. Thankyou 😊
Absolutely brilliant 🤙👌
Cracking short session on what I can only describe as beautiful fishing beach. Two lovely fish in quick succession for tea. Doesn't get much better than that. Arthur, Whitley bay north east UK.
Yes it is stunning coast. Always great to be out there fishing!
Thank you for another great video mate! Great to watch whilst I'm laid up for a few days just makes me super keen to hit the beach ASAP. I'd love to see how you prep both the salmon and Tailor for eating.

Thanks Gene
Mate, so lovely to see your joy of fishing. It’s like seeing a kid in an adult body :) Thanks for a lovely video.
Brilliant tutorial.....really enjoyed that and can't wait to give that stinger rig a go on SA beaches.
I like your hook method, thanks for sharing.
I've been salting my own pilchard for about 3 years now. I use two Bulla ice cream tubs. One drilled with multiple holes that fits inside the other with spacers to allow the water to collect. I layer the pilchards with salt then pilchards then salt then pilchard etc until the packet is empty (lots of salt). Even 24 hours makes a difference, but after about 5 days or a week they are very tough. I cut them to size on the beach with scissors. You can either cut them horizontally or vertically -- and they will keep even on the hotest day. And, as you know, you can keep them in the freezer and they don't completely freeze, and are ready to use. The bream love them as does every other fish. Cheers.
Such a great tip mate. Love it! I always had that question if it would be as effective as non-salted ones. Nice to hear it works good for you mate. Thanks for that. Let's go fishing! Cheers, Dan.
So that helps to keep it together?
@@borism4629 it does big time! Worth trying for sure
As long as your happier aye bro, or getting to where that is.
You seem busy enough with life so appreciate your time bro, awesome video

Glad it was helpful! Let me know how it goes?
Newbie to your channel. That was a good vid to watch. Nice work. 👍
Thanks Sean 👍🏼
Very pretty spot of beach thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting
It’s very interesting to see you identify sandbars and channels and depths just by looking at the waves. I look at the beach and all I see is water and waves. It’d be interesting to see how you’re identifying the key things to look far when you go beach fishing.
Hey mate, check out my video on how to read a beach. It will hopefully help you identify the key structures. Let me know how you go?
Here is a tip. Go down during the day to see the beach at low tide. Then go back and fish whatever the best formation is at high tide.
Nice simple relaxing video without all the hype. Awesome video 👍
I ❤your videos! Keep up the great content
Thanks mate glad you enjoy them!
Hi Roger
I am generally a catch and release fisherman mostly on fly
I however do keep an odd fish if it’s good eating.
I also dispatch my fish immediately If I am keeping it.
Glad to see you do the same👌👌.
All the best from a warm South Africa
i'd bet you guys catch some fantastic stuff
I like how you do the 2 hook in the bait . Thanks 👍
Ive been a few times and not caught a thing yet 😢 hopefully this will change things😁
I'm sure it will improve your catch 👌
Great video bub 😊
GREAT WORK MATE VERY WELL DONE IAM WATCHING FROM AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 👍
Thanks mate!
Great video
Well done Roger. Seems easy but I know getting results require a lot of knowledge and skill.
I’ve seen some Sharks while swimming at the beach, so my beach going days are over. I’ve done pier and deep sea fishing, so now I’ll be trying beach fishing. I live near the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Recently we’ve been plagued with Red Tide, so I’ll be waiting for better days. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed watching.
thanks Jose, you're welcome
Wow, your so cool dude and love your videos 💪🏽😁
I used to use kites really fast and get out over em breakers!. Cool video ty.
That was wonderful and amazingly helpful to this beginner. PS I have NEVER heard of a beach worm- That was right out of a sci-fi movie! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would not have believed you! Thanks for the great vids.
Hey Roger, I moved to WA in March and had zero knowledge of fishing. I watch your videos every week, even in the middle of fishing when i forget what to do! You are a legend and so insightful!
Question for you - what is the swivel you are using here and connector to the sinker? I usually connect the sinker to another length of leader on a three-way swivel but looks like you have it connected to a 2 way? Looks a lot cleaner too and less likely to tangle.
