Love the red and white!! My thought is to leave the garland on the light. Wish l had one too!! The "wispy-ness" of the greenery doesn't overwhelm the light but adds the perfect amount of festive flair. I also decorate shelves and pretty much do them the same each year. Thanks for the inspiration !!

The little plaid light up house I got few years ago when I saw you haul it and since then it has started my obsession with the cardboard houses and now I have a village of them!
It looks pretty! The light looks good. I would hang small ref lacquered apples on the 2 trees beside the dough bowl. And I would hang a full red poinsettia wreath between the 2 book shelves. .
Crystal you can put the little table lamp by the mixer. It will give a lot of light in the dark corner. Switch the Rae Dunn red canister in place of the lamp. Try it, you might love it. I have a dark corner and black granite. I keep a lamp in the corner and it makes a big difference. 🎄🌲

As for your struggles with your shelves, you aren't alone. Most of us have to put things up, stand back, and add, take away, rearrange, think of something even better.... It sometimes takes me days...weeks!
I think that's one of the reasons I decorate early. I deck the halls and then I tweak!

As much as so many others are using the neutral colors, I prefer the reds and greens for Christmas and the whites for winter. Living in a cold climate with long winters, I change my Christmas reds over to the whites until Spring. Besides, I’m sure the kiddos absolutely love it💕

The garland looks good on lights
So very pretty and cozy for Christmas. My husband was shocked when he didn’t see my big pilgrims out the other day. I pointed out Thanksgiving is late and I have a lot of decor to put out. So just table for Thanksgiving is decorated for that. Also we will celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday so everyone can just do one stop with in-laws and us. Anyway would love sitting in your kitchen with a cup of coffee and muffin in the morning.😊
Hi Crystal! No, you cannot have too many Christmas villages...ever. Tee hee! I like the garland on the light. I love everything you did. You had a candy/cookie theme going on and I certainly think everything blends together seamlessly. I think the shelves look great, but I do the same thing....constantly moving things around. I'm going to hold off on decorating my main rooms until after Thanksgiving. Just too much going on and s putting in too many hours at work. I may try wrapping gifts this weekend and that will be one thing that will be done. I really liked your music for this video...so upbeat and fun!
