It’s defensible and healthcare that has saved many women from unsafe abortion procedures, from miscarriages that could have become septic, from mothers being forced to carry their pregnancies to term they knew would not live. Already infant and maternal mortality has increased dramatically in states with bans. These women are walking “hospice care centers” and suffering the costly and mentally devastating effects of pregnancy and childbirth only to watch their babies die when they actually can comprehend pain.

God bless you, Jeff. Our oldest daughters was born premature at 12 ounces- smallest on record in our state. We lived in the NICU for 9 months...it was hell but ultimately led to me and my wife turning to God. Prayer saved her multiple times. They told us to abort her for months because she would "never survive." we did not. She is 15 and is an awesome, godly young woman who has a bright future. Many of the doctors at the hospital she was born in were caught selling aborted baby parts years later and were prosecuted. there are truly demons out there.

Sad part here, is that there are millions of young ladies that accept the Pro-Choice argument on the surface and push the cause forward. All along not really asking these deep questions about the morality of murdering a baby in the womb. It's easy at that age to say "it's a clump of cells" and just go on about their lives.

This debate reminds me of the title of the book Greg Koukl wrote a while back - Relativism... feet firmly planted in mid-air. She's all over the place, trying to bob and weave the objections, by leaning on relativism, yet at the same time she's giving up truth, even though she presupposes that truth is of authority and should be adhered to every single time she asserts something.

This is not an unintelligent lady. She heard the truth through Jeff and she knew it. But sadly, her pride is standing in the way. We shouldn't judge her but pray that her heart steps in and pushes the pride away.
Judging in itself is not a sin, it's an evaluation.....judging in a condemning way is.....we should absolutely judge what she is saying and weigh it with the Word of God. But you are right she is suppressing the truth and it is easy to hear.

Pastor Durbin handled this masterfully, but i will not that I've never seen a person with so little understanding have so much patience. This woman is impressive in the way that she doesn't allow her own ignorance grow into anger that boils over into screaming. I can't believe she didn't raise her voice or cuss. Seems like the light of her conscience is still flickering.
She says "we're just giving people the right to vote for it".
So what if somebody drew up a bill to legalize Slavrey. Would she still think they're just giving people the right to vote for it?
I'm also very sick of the dehumanizing argument. It's like people don't know history. Every time throughout history the ending of a certain group of people was justified by the same dehumanizing arguments. Every human no matter their age, race, religion, health, or size has the right to life. Saying they aren't human beings doesn't make it true and it certainly doesn't justify ending them.

When asked on how she would confront another “muslim denouncing the Quran, she couldn’t even give a definitive answer on that. If a muslim cannot hold to the Quran being the words of Allah why bother calling yourself a muslim. Either she was being disingenuous with her responses or she’s truly lost (even within her own religion.) Great job Jeff engaging with her, I was getting frustrated for you

Top notch stuff as usually but the competing conversations so close to the main mic are an awful distraction.
I get that this woman is involved in a regular conversation that she came to without intentional preparation and she may be nervous being on camera, but it's evident that she has not deeply thought about her position on abortion or, and worse, her understanding of God and what His existence means, practically, for her life. It's sad to watch and I will pray that she seriously reflects on this conversation and by the grace of God her eyes are opened.

Oh boy. This precious girl is on sinking sand; not a single thought came to any logical conclusion. This was me 20 years ago, so I certainly understand where she’s coming from. Yeah, they need to be conscious of the viewer's experience. They should move apart. It's hard to listen to.
You see it over and over again in this converstaion. They are simply incapable of taking their thoughts about abortion out of theory realm and into real life.
She tries so hard to tell Jeff that he doesn't understand what he is talking about while he is getting into the actual language of the law and giving examples of what it would allow people to do.

I think there's a miss guided innocence in her. She wasn't disrespectful or nasty at all. I feel like one day she's going to understand the truth.
May I ask what specific scripture says life is after fertilization. I have read it as “the breath of life”. I love the pastor whom sets up a table with his congregation saying “can we help?! Do you need support, emotional, physical, spiritual, financial. We are here to help.” In my opinion it’s the most Christian way to support anti abortion. What would Jesus do in this situation.
She's not listening or hearing you. Nor is she engaging with the thought exercises presented to show her the flaw in her logic and she completely refuses to engage with it in any way. Very frustrating to hear especially considering she doesn't change her mind and the result is more children die.

I find listening to her talking in circles and her lack of any moral principles whatsoever very frustrating and disturbing.
