Nokia X30 5G | The Eco-Friendly Phone!
Vložit
- čas přidán 14. 08. 2024
- The Nokia X30 5G is a £399 mid-range smartphone boasting planet-saving design, 50MP camera tech and respectable specs. This hands-on review shows off the Nokia X30 5G's main features, stay tuned for a more in-depth video!
That specification isn't bad for this price, although the performance isn't as tight as some other phones from Nothing and Poco. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 runs the show, so you'll be able to enjoy some light gaming on PubG, CODM etc. Just don't expect to run Genshin Impact with a smooth frame rate.
The Nokia X30 5G serves up a simple dual lens rear camera, with a 50MP primary sensor. This includes an updated night mode and plenty of other typical features, although no 4K video recording.
You also have a water-resistant IP67 design, while the 4200mAh battery should hopefully see you through a full day. The Nokia X30 5G has an OLED screen but only mono speakers, and there's no microSD memory card support to expand that storage. Thankfully you'll get at least 128GB space if you pay that £399 UK asking price.

finally, a Nokia with OLED and 90 Hz screen, this thing actually looks nice and I would look at it as an option for that price 💪

hoping they will continue this trend! i thought they would never come up woth a phonr like the Nord 2.. step by step we are getting there
Nokia did everything right with the X30, _everything,_ except the chipset. I've converted €400 and it comes to ₹40,672 in my place and it's ridiculously expensive for a Snapdragon 695! We have Moto Edge 30 (778+) at ₹28,999; Nothing Phone (1) (778+)at ₹32,499 and Pixel 6A (Tensor 1) at ₹37,480 - all with good chipsets. ₹41k for a 695 would have people call you bonkers here!
Edit - I used '£' instead of '€', my bad.
That is the main reason why nokia is doing great in india. 🇮🇳
@@roshanverma6526 😂
it wont come to india for 40k ofc but its still expensive even if its priced 25k just cos of that chipset
@@roshanverma6526 of course...that's why i have to stop using nokia😂

Glad that Nokia is going back on track
Finally made something that looks interesting and that's not generic or cheap looking.
Nokia finally stepped up their game i see 👀
Yup they did.... along with an increase in price
@@abrahamlincoln5536 1 step forward, 2 steps back more likely
@@darkyangel09 how? In this state of the world, with increase of price in energy, fuel, food, the component shortage still hasnt disappeared anywhere. The price increase was bound to happen, keep in mind that HMD is a startup company still. You cant expect them to deliver Samsung like results where you can burn limitless amounts of money into your products….
@@Verhotanko46 you do realize throughout the years they've been making budget phones with low end specs right? as for now, they finally using a higher spec chipset rather than same ol' snapdragon 480, you're such a salty consumer, calm the fuck down lol
Nope 695 chipset sucks should've used 778+
Finally, a good new brand Nokia, after 3-4 years.
This reminds my of my 60" Sky Glass, "the world's first carbon neutral TV"...
I've had to buy a smart plug so I can switch it off at the wall when not being watched as it sucks 90w merely being in standby. The same as a high end gaming laptop with dedicated graphics going at full pelt. For reference, my 60" Samsung in the next room idles at 3w in standby.
Smashing out the Nokia videos atm bud, I like it 👍🏽
They are coming back to the track 🔥🔥
This is gonna hit for sure. Been waiting for a decent midranger from Nokia since Nokia 7 Plus. I think this is it. This will be my next phone.
Gree...having 7.2 over 2 years, was waiting for this
Pixel 6a is the same price as this lol. Pixel 6a has longer software support and faster updates directly from Google and better cameras.
@@anotherjuan the Faulty Fingerprint Sensor alone Make The Pixel Worse
I, too, am still using a 7 plus. The only downside has been it's failed design with the charging port that always gets crappy after 6 months of usage. No phones, I repeat none, post 7 plus were good enough. That lovely single-cut 6000 series Aluminium unibody ❤️ that too, I got the white one. 😁
Seems like, I'd soon be upgrading to X30. 😁
not gonna lie nokia had some good phones around 2018-2019 .
a killer deal with the lower price and guaranteed updates of Android! Wish it had a headphone jack though. We don't all want ear beans.
What lower price is that Paul? For that price it's under-spec'd compared to some very good phones from other manufacturers.
@@dave8204 remember: it's not just about the specs. It's about overall experience and performance in the long run - for instance the Nokia x30 is designed with top notch build quality in mind. They give 3 years updates, 3 years warranty and a clean android without bloatware. For that price you will rarely find another manufacturer that sells such a well balanced phone with such a focus on long-run usability and quality.
You can get decent wireless earbuds (Redmi buds 4 lite) for ~20€ now. They last 5 hours on charge and fit in the ears perfectly. (Also fallen me on the ground few times and work fine) I used to miss the headphone jack, but with current tech it is no longer a necessity.
Finally HMD doing well 💪
This seems like a good option although the pricing is little bit on a higher side but it is yet worth considering. After all, if not all, atleast most of us kust have owned a nokia phone in the past
Price is little bit higher because of the quality of phone, camera, design, everything is perfect. In this price we can get good processor in other phones but not the quality and design that Nokia is providing.
I WILL BUY THIS JUST FOR THE DESIGN!! 🤯
Very decent phone, I think the X30 is the right mix, not way too expensive, yet a solid build device with clean Android. This is a nice phone, no doubt about that.
People’s says money can’t buy you happiness 💸 but spending money on Nokia can Make your life🫰🏻❤️🤌🏻 I Love Nokia 🌸
Nokia (HMD Global) doing REALLY GOOD recently. Glad to see Nokia coming back to the great Stuff. Their Tablets are great as well. I would pick the Nokia Devices if I would go with Android. They do the best complete Experience.
I just watch this pv an hour ago, and look at this guy
as always, you're the best
Quite a beautiful design with no gimmicky cameras
I hated the design of the G series phones but I quite liked the design of the X30.
damn nokia... you did it.... the design... 😱
VICTUS!!!!!!!!!! i own the Nokia XR20 and previously Samsung S21 and I LOVE how good victus is. it held up to me getting drunk and throwing the phone across the room many, many times.
i want another second phone i dunno if i'll get this or wait and dream for a smaller XR20 with updated chipset?? i guess i can only dream.
Now they've finally started using 695... Few more years they'll be ready to use proper flagship chip
Yeah that's really frustrating
It'll be 2025 before Nokia even considers using SD870.
Can't sell updates and nostalgia forever.
Dream on 😴💤💤💤. It's still a long long way up there! This shit SD 695 isn't even capable of 4K video. SD 778g should have been a minimum at this expensive upper midrange price point, but HMD Global Nokia continues to disappoint every single time. Greetings from my Finland 🇫🇮 where no one buys a Nokia smartphone.
I doubt it. They haven't done another flagship after the Nokia 9 flopped hard.
@@SirFaceFone and for those who bought Nokia 9 HMD Global really showed so much love! They didn't have tech staff who had knowledge how to upgrade it to Android 11, so Nokia 9 never got it! HMD answered that they could get a discount of a new Nokia model. A very small discount. That was like an insult from HMD and the users of 9 surely never bought another Nokia after that.
My guy is riding the Nokia pony today.
I doubt anyone has said Nokia so many times in one day.
For real 🤣
Nokia is still solid with the joke SD 695 5G for 520 EUR
finally Nokia !!! you have done well... I will check this in the market and try buying it...
Finally no nokia logo on the bottom.. look impressive
glad to see nokia's back at the game . producing solely budget phones would have never gotten them anywhere
I love Nokia phones & thanks for unboxing 😍😍
if nokia came out with this a few months earlier, i would've got this. they finally made their design not ugly AF.
true no more horrendous chin with logo... and finally amoled with ois
@@galerikaban5280 exactly. and the silly tear drop notch. ugh. but we're past that now. too bad i'm stuck with my phone for a few years
Last week i got the Moto g82 5g for £250, just wanted a phone that does most things well if not mind-blowing, can't really fault it, plus battery life is really good.
Moto is almost over in our country.
good choice
They really need to up their game in software game.
Plus it's painful to find accessories for moto phones rn.
@@kamallb4650 mine updated already, comes with a fast charger, has case included, i bought a screen protector. What else do you need?
@@bighes100 and how many major os updates have they promised.
Maybe in ur region getting accesories is easier. Not here. It's frustrating to find a case u like....it's either a transparent or an all black silicon case.
Although I'd still want a charging brick in the box, it is reasonable for a phone like this to not include it where the company ACTUALLY has the environment in mind unlike Apple (or at least what it looks like).
Hahaha 😂😂😂 love the sarcasm lol
Wishing I had waited on updating my Nokia 7.1 to this, but still happy with my x20. The display has been my only irk, but this one seems like a great upgrade!
At both around £399, would easily pick the Pixel 6A over this. Pixels have longer & faster software support directly from Google, first in line to new & Pixel exclusive features, and waaay better cameras.
Pixel software is pretty unreliable though, there are reports of 6a fingerprint working for unregistered fingers and green tint on screen already
@@taryarwinhtet7653 and Nokia by HMD is more reliable than Google Pixels? Lol ever heard of Nokia's faulty charging ports, 2ndary cameras no longer working after some software updates, buggy camera app.. just to name a few issues, there's more 😆😆😆
@@anotherjuan that Charging Port Issue Was Years Ago Dude
Ohhh another video today, soooo blessed 😍
Finally I can upgrade from my Nokia X10
An amazing new phone from Nokia!!!
The reason why nokia not doing great in india market is that they are still using lowend specifications , look at Xiaomi, oppo , vivo , redmi ,realme , poco they provide better chipset and ram combination. Indian user are hardcore users they need power pack performance in terms of gaming, camera, and software. In short and simple we need all in one device which is value for money. X 30 would be better if it includes atleast snapdragon 7 gen one chipset. 🇮🇳
In India, consumer market prefers more on how many features are bundled in a lower price. Quality is something which goes for a toss. Also, these days, people just keep upgrading their phones every 2 yrs or so just because something new is out there that looks appealing.
With the price being so high people will just look elsewhere.
Wonderful phone by Nokia. I am buying Nokia XR20 5G in November 2022. XR20 is tough Smartphone and yes strong good reliable and yes Stock Android, overall very Good.
Watching your Video From Kolkata India
This phone is lit . Nokia destroys Chinese phones and comes back in their own league. Nokia , Sony , LG felt bad for these kings who fell
Except Nokia they had to get 1+ banned in Finland to give the Nokia X30 a fighting chance against 1+10T.
Nokia reported here in Finland big growth, besides the economy not being the best. Nokia is growing again, this phone is not from Nokia but their offices are next to each other and HMD is from the same city than Nokia and it's run by Nokia workers and Nokia is involved strongly in the business.
SD778G&Stereo speakers would have made this phone more interesting
Yes, and stereo speakers for me firstly
This is the first time I've seen you use Luffy as a background pic 👌🏻
It actually looks good
See guys, with google challenging apple, it brings other brands up like Motorola and Nokia
To Nokia I have a request--
Before launching newer smartphones please give timely updates to your previous phones. Mine is a Nokia 5.3 already Android 13 beta versions are becoming available on some smartphones, and Android 12 is almost released for 1 year and Nokia 5.3 is stuck at July 2022 security patch Android 11. No official date is given when a12 update will be given. Every other nokia phone listed for Android 12 had their update but only nokia 5.3 is held back. At least, can you please give us some specific date when the promised Android 12 update will be disbursed?
Using Nokia 8.1 until now from Philippines 🇵🇭🥰
695 is a budget chipset...price is almost lower flagship range
I was having faith the headphone Jack would still be in use on this phone, but i guess i was wrong and nokia did sell its soul also:,(
Nokia actually makes really good phones. I just bought the x100 a few months ago and despite how huge it is I've enjoyed the phone. It sucks you can't game as much cause of the processor but Its fast and sharp and works for what I need. The camera, is actually pretty good as well it's not comparable to flagships believe me I had the iphone 13 before this phone but I take VERY clear crisp pictures. However it does struggle in night mode a bit.
Akhirnya nokia meluncurkan desainnya dengan kamera depan punch hole yang saya nantikan, saya tidak suka dengan desain-desain kamera depan water drop sebelumnya. 👍 good job nokia
That ridiculous planet got me😂😂😂😂😂😂. Nice one from my fav. Brand.
You have to listen when Eric Ten Hag talks😉
Absence of 3.5mm Jack is a deal breaker for me. I don't want to use Bluetooth headphones that are bad for your health 🐒
I got the Nokia X30 and bought me a usb c to jack 3.5mm converter . Can be a bit clumsy as your connection will be a the btm of your phone instead of the top, but is working just fine for me ! 🙂
I like the design of the camera module, it's unique.
I'd watch any brick you review, i watch for the script. Always make me smile 😂
Shame looked perfect, but no headphone port is basically a deal breaker for me. I'm often out on the trail or mountain for 8-10 hours at a time, wireless headphones are just too much faff and I have to take multiple sets, plus the charging cases, it's just a pain.
Good design and eco friendly. Looks like Nokia is going back on track.😊
Nokia still alive ? Xd
The Pricetag of 519€ here is something that really bothers me, the Cameras would have to be really good to cover part of the Price. What also turns me off is that its only Mono, couldn't be that expensive to build a hybrid Stereo in, at that Price. Looks sadly like a skip for me, at 349€ we might talk again.
This looks really nice. Waiting for full review.
This seems like a great all around phone
beautiful phone from nokia with solid design and material 👍🏻
Mono speakers and the chipset make it a no go, but otherwise I was pleasently surprised.
Snapdragon 695 5g is not that bad though, its a good competitor
and 4200mah, no charger, 90hz... g82 destroys this for £100 less lol
G82 has impressive hardware but software-wise it's no match for Nokia's clean Android approach and the software support on offer (3 years software updates + 3 years security patches as opposed to Moto's 1 major software update and 3 years security)
I’m a Samsung user but I still want to purchase a Nokia just to show support to my childhood phone.
A review of yours without anime wallpapers is like a sky without stars.
I love the back and sides of the Nokia X30

the only tech reviewer who calls the charging hole, a sphincter... you are a fooking legend.. I am a huge Nokia head here. Nice review but personally dont think the X30 is a good choice.. Much rather get that G60.. only no OLED and no Victus. the rest is the same..
Well, it remains to add stereo speakers, water protection, 3.5mm jack, and i buy it
I had to buy two charger because the first one was a different brand and i think its also damaged the battery but its still working. I know its my bad but damn. Thanks nokia.
Looks like reasonable phone, been wanting to replace my iPhone 10, what Is starting to play up and can no longer justify the price of any of the new iPhones. Wanting a affordable phone outright, means joining the dark side. I almost bought a pixel, but have decided to wait for the pixel 7 in October, will have to add this to my potential list.
The oppo reno8 pro is also ridiculously good for the price
Hi, where can we find one piece monkey d luffy wallpaper Shown in thumbnail?
Pls tell, thank you.
Looks very ideal, however, HMD missed the headphone jack. 😔
it's because they're also releasing their new lineup for their TWS
I really love this Nokia, Its beautiful ❤️
Time to retire my nokia 8.1.... though my 8.1 is still functioning like brand new (except the lower bat and sometimes restarting) and Last time I checked not a dent and even a scratch on it! Im so glad HMD put IP protection on this.
Nokia x30 is a great phone for the price great quality phone, love it.
4200 mah battery. Are you kidding me . In 2022 Nokia is living 2017 life
don't be ridiculous. The stupid iPhone 13 Pro has a 3095 mAh battery....

Hopefully we will get a review of the Sony 5IV which has just arrived on the market in the compact smartphone category.
It seems that the battery and camera are better than the last model as well as the clarity of the screen which was one of the frequently mentioned complaints.
😉
I have a 5iii and the screen is certainly not one of my complaints about the phone. It's not blurry at all, and the color reproduction is very natural. I have my issues with it, (fingerprint scanner, overheating issues, etc.), but the battery, camera, and screen aren't among them.
@@LNSLateNightSaturday I actually wanted to compare with the 5ii and the clarity of the screen.
Personally, I found it a bit weak. You're right when you say that the color reproduction is very good; I do love it.
Nokia is always expensive because you buy the durability of the phone. The motherboard might be a rock solid too. We need Jerry to see it.
Very good review. Nokia comes into me like LG. Old and refurbished. And Motorola. I also put them in that category. Trying to fight in that Marketplace. Like ZTE the usa has a bad influence on them in some way?

do you even sleep buddy, it's like video after video. SALUTE
Nice...Amoled display in the end!!! 😎👌
But...where are Carl Zeiss lens?!?🙈
And why the camera is not in the center?!?🙈
Amoled is nice and cool, but the bettery will end faster..... 🙈🙈🙈
Without those above, the phone seems to be amazing! 😎😁👌
To me there's only two options, Google pixel or Nokia. Pixels are Android phones with most advanced hardware and software, while Nokia is always solid low and now mid end phone with no bloatware. And you can rest assured you are buying from reliable vendors. I switched to low end Nokia phones after my galaxy s7 edge became too slow. I then bought Nokia 7.2 and recently g50 since my screen totally broke. I have been really happy with both of them.
I would like pixel 6 as it's hardware and security is just unbeatable, but honestly I just do not need it at all. I don't play much games, nor do I take much pictures or video. That said, next time I'm picking a phone I'm probably going for that mid tier pixel phone if it's available at the time. I mean it's same ~500€ as this X30.
It's beautiful
The only downside is the asked price...if you want to be eco friendly if you have to pay a steep price for that. I mean the pixel 7 offers the same OS support and it's almost the price
I'm enjoying the new Nokia, unfortunately these good devices haven't arrived in Brazil yet, I would buy this Nokia I prefer this manufacturer, Motorola Samsung or Xiaomi never again
Yeah I hope They Launch These Globally
that design though!

@@anotherjuan correct John. All these things come standard on Chinese phones, so Nokia had better pull it's socks up or be overtaken by rivals.
