Mr. Pickles is one of those shows where I have no idea why I like it. It's super dark and morbid, but I can't get enough of it. But I definitely don't tell people I know that I watch it.

We all have a little devil we have to appease now and then. This cartoon gives it to you without consequence. Enjoy it, you are normal. But your sense of humor is spectacular.

Lex Nelson honestly, though I kinda like the show as well, I can see why. The designs are horendus to look at, there’s way too much to look at, and a lot of the subplots are just not needed. Not to mention it grows repetitive.
The only reason I enjoy it, is because I like the concept of Mr.Pickles himself. A dog, known for its kindness and loyalty, being a satanic beast living in a suburban family. It leaves me with questions like: If Mr.Pickles is so evil, why does he live with a family?
However, it doesn’t seem like the show will delve that deep into its story.

Sort of like a silent super volcano slowly building up. You can’t see it by looking at the surface, but you can feel the tremors underneath it.

What I like most about this show is its mostly Tommy seemingly the only one in a kid show, while everyone else represents hardcore adult stuff. That's what creates a solid contrast with the scenario; the idea and ark of each story appears kid friendly, but the content is funny shock value stuff. Not for everyone, but that's the appeal.
