Well done - really nice tools too. The poor man always has to buy TWO tools - first the CHEAP one - then the RIGHT one...

Better to solder it after crimping.

+Aleneski Kalashnikova That’s absolutely not necessary.
If you are using a high professional tool which one is specially designed
for this kind of solar terminals the crimp would be so tight
that no solder will flow between the strands anyway.
We’re working close together with the major manufacturers of these solar terminals
and none of the leading manufactures recommends soldering.
Please check out the manuals from these companies to see how to work with their products.

It depends on the quality and safety. With a cheap tool you can save money but if your roof
burns down because of a bad crimp it is cheaper to invest in a tool where you
can be sure the crimp is perfect. We have several hundreds of satisfied customers
and so far none complain about crimp problems. At the end of the day everybody
can decide which way he would like to go.

I hate it when i see amateurs crimping these connectors with a crimping plier made for insulated cable shoes, so dangerous :L

    • @RennsteigToolsInc
      @RennsteigToolsInc  Před 8 lety

+FoodOnCrack This tool is not made for insulated cable shoes as you can see at the end of the video.
This tool is specially designed for MC4 terminals in close cooperation with the terminals
manufacture itself. We sold several thousand of these tools to the major installation companies around the world.
Please check out this link to see all the different tools for the different terminals.
