They figured out a long time ago that most people don't actually bother to check up on their actions, so they can just mouth focus-tested feel good platitudes, and then just do whatever once they're in office.
That's why they went to so much trouble to limit and discredit reporting - the news was one of the few groups that would report on what they actually DID. So they made a propaganda network and spent a lot of time convincing people that "all other news is lies" and "We are the only ones you can trust, the network that argued in court that it wasn't actually news so it didn't have to be factual"

Its a bit more complex. It is a deliberate strategy of equivocation, a well-known fallacy used in propaganda. By deliberately switching definitions without clear indication, you can pretend someone advocating for universal healthcare is advocating for Stalinist pogroms to impose communism, and that agreeing not to have Stalinist pogroms to impose communism means you agree there should be no universal healthcare.
      From Merriam Webster:
      (1) any of various egalitarian economic and political theories or movements advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods (for example the NHS in Britain I suppose)
      (2) a stage of society in Marxist theory that is transitional between capitalism and communism.
I myself have used it just to describe social democracy: eg taxation to pay for social safety nets. Im going to avoid that because I think it is too fuzzy and too easily twisted.

be wary, people call themselves "republicans" and put forth democratic policies.
in truth, the united states is a republic. the democratic party was formed to protect slavery. by definition, democracy works by silencing the minority.
an actual republican upholds personal freedoms, like abortion, and has no issue with the promotion of sciences, equality, and unity.
in truth, it shouldn't matter if you call yourself democrat or republican, as long as those words actually uphold personal liberties and defend us interests.
the "republican" party didn't actually exist until after the "democratic" party, because people who defend the united states are automatically republican by the definition of what our nation is as a people.
i don't mean that as an offense. i'm stating the literal definition. The United States Constitution:
      Section 4
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government"
... that is... just what it literally is.
we aren't a democracy, and many of these "new age" republicans behave as democrats.
the democrats themselves... now often show signs of republican ideals... but forget that we are actually a republic.
and the republic believes in freedom and equality. to protect ourselves, and each other, to grow and strengthen our nation and our interests.
we do not oppose the sciences, abortion, etc.
by definition, we believe in personal freedoms as well as the freedom of others.
i personally think that you can kill a rape baby or you can choose to keep it. your choice.
we live in a world where we must kill or have people kill for us. there's no other way to be alive. because we die without killing some form of life.
that being said, obviously the rape baby didn't choose to exist. the rapist parent made that choice.
so, from a republican point of view, and in defense of the united states and the literal defition of our country:
the victim should be allowed to choose. sad choice or not.
i personally would kill any baby that was forced into me and also choose to murder the rapist.
but if it actually happened to me... WHO KNOWS. people are weird. i met a rape victim once and they chose to keep it.
      it was... interesting.

It’s not “out of touch”, because that implies that they don’t know what going on in the minds of the voter. They know EXACTLY what the voters what. And they’ve created a plan to keep the voters from getting it. It’s insidious that they even have a psyop style plan of attack to dilute and confuse the voters. It’s not out of touch. It’s very in touch with what the GOP has been doing for decades. Confuse, dilute, muddy the waters, blame the other, all the while they are overturning rights screaming it’s the Dems. It’s the Dems, the communist, wants to take your rights away. As they continue to spewing Russian propaganda on the house floor, to further divide this country. The Maga crowd has been screaming for a Civil War for decades and now they are useful idiots to Putin and Xi. And if the rest of us don’t get our heads out of this confusing state the Maga will do the bidding of Putin and destroy us from the inside. @serendipityshopnyc Let's see if "independents" get it right this time around. There is nothing wrong with being it, I consider myself to be one, but I won't vote Republican in almost any curcunstance anylonger. I will never understand a pro-choice Independent who votes Republican. Republicans will never stop pandering to anti-choice folks in the near future. Simply because if they do it, they lose money support and votes from those who make up a substantial chunk of the electorate and their base: religious zealots. Therefore, you ARE NOT reigning them in voting them out in an election cycle if you come around and vote them again in 2026. They also know this, that's why they don't hesitate to create anti-choice laws up to the last consequences. At most, they will soften their position when it becomes too unbearable, just as in an election year, but they will come back around again when the storm has passed. Therefore, stop voting for them altogether, for goodness's sake. Otherwise, we will always have to be fighting to be able to make the most personal decisions about ourselves. As I said, theyll never stop. Not even state constitutional amendments passed in order to protect the procedure are immune from their shenanigans: they will find a looophole here and there to put hurdles in it, thus pandering again to religious nuts. We need to create a decades lose-streak for them in Congress just as there were from (1954-1980) and Presidency as well. Vote blue until that party reborns itself from the ashes; don't believe anything they may say unless they put "I support a woman's choice to perform an abortion if she so chooses at least in the first 15 weeks" in their official platform and take official action to repeal laws who do not conform to it.
Vote blue every race everywhere this year and beyond.

The same applies to a whole raft of voter suppression tactics they are getting away with, but in this case it looks like the paper trail demonstrates absolutely explicit INTENT.
IMO, if a jury of 12 can decide any strategy was specifically about causing a miscount of what voters actually wanted to vote, that should earn essentially the same punishment as any other attempt to falsify election results. All that really matters is proving INTENT.

Legislators aren't trained doctors. They have no right to practice medicine without a license. They should have no say in medical matters. This country needs a federal medical board to decide these matters. I'm tired of America healthcare being decided by any country bumkin that can weasel their way into a bureaucratic office position.

1:34 they just make it harder and harder on themselves, how are they going to enforce this while still letting women give birth, they're already turning people away from hospitals who are giving birth because they don't want to get in trouble if there's a complecation that results in a miscarriage.
