- Today I'm at Murdog's Diner in Caro, Michigan, attempting their Top Dog Challenge! Challengers have one sitting to finish a giant patty burger with a large side of fries served in a dog bowl! Winners get a shirt and go on the wall of fame. If you are unsuccessful, you pay $25 for the meal and take home leftovers.

Ok, enough innuendo. Even with a one sitting time limit, I’m surprised there have been more than a handful of winners. That was a lot of food! And the dog bowl? Well, I suppose it’s not the worst interpretation of a “side” of fries, but it’s certainly novel!
Anyway, the important thing is it tasted good, even though your mouth was annihilated. And the one sitting time limit meant you could take your time and enjoy it. Great job finishing, and congratulations on the win!! 🎉

Hey Aaron, I’ve never tried that before. Honestly I wouldn’t want to either. Most of the grease falls in the bottom bun and it’s hard to eat that one due to then saturation of the grease. Thank you for asking!

Would you rather do one giant burger with a giant bun or 10-12 individual single burgers?
Well if there was a choice for no burger challenge, I’d choose that. I don’t really eat burgers outside food challenges, just never really been a fan.
But to answer, I think most will agree the stacked patty challenges are way better. The large single patty ones are extremely difficult to cook properly.

A challenge is defined as finishing a meal and earning a prize. Most people get full after 20 minutes, so even with a one sitting time limit it’s still possible to fail.
