UNDEFEATED OMELET CHALLENGE WITH A BOAT LOAD OF GRAVY

- Today I'm at The Boxcar Diner in Lake, Michigan, attempting their undefeated Whole Boxcar Challenge! Challengers have a one sitting time limit to finish a giant 6 egg omelet stuffed with cheese, meats, veggies, and topped with a boat load of gravy! Winners go up on the wall of fame and receive a certificate. If you are unsuccessful, you pay $25and take home leftovers.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a challenge with that much gravy before. Also don’t really have gravy with omelette, but only because I’m too lazy to make a good breakfast 😅. With the restaurant doing both well, and with a one sitting time limit, it’s definitely worth a go, so kudos to you for showcasing it. And congratulations on the win!😁
Have you ever tried sausage gravy on omelette before? It’s SO so good. But I could probably drink the stuff I love it that much 😅

@@samcook_food heck yeah 🤤 If you have a Coney Island around you and don’t feel like cooking, they have a really good country omelette smothered in sausage gravy. I usually get the western omelette and add gravy for some extra veggies.

I’m at around the 4:00 min mark and it blows my mind how hot that sucker is. The steam coming off of it is unreal. I’d have to open it wide open and douse it in ketchup and hot sauce to hopefully help cool the temperature of it down as I go.

What is these places keep closing after the professional eaters go there. This is not the first one that closed after you were there in a couple that Randy were in is also closed. Hmmm 🧐🤷♀️
Wow just saw they closed. Honestly the restaurant biz is pretty tough right now so that’s why it’s been happening. For this specific challenge I actually paid for the meal (it wasn’t free if you won). I once did a challenge at a place and 5 days later they closed permanently. It’s a tough business right now!!

I live in Michigan... and I have only tried (and won.) 1 food challenge.... so i'm definitely no expert. But, I don't understand the use of the giant spoon and fork in most of your videos. Again, i'm not knockin' ya whatsoever, I think your vids are great, and your a local boy so I love ya (I also used to live in Houghton, families from Calumet, and you rock a lot of Huskie stuff) but I just don't understand it. Randy Santel uses big spoons a lot, but he also eats the WHOLE spoonful. I'm sure there is a reason for it...
lol, the big spoon does help shovel more in. My mouth just isn’t big enough to get all that’s on the spoon. 😅😅
