  • It doesn't matter how cold it gets, the grayling is always obliging in these freezing temperatures. Daniel Woolcott takes a trip down to the River Frome in Dorset, where he walks us through how he targets the beautiful 'Lady of the Stream'.

At last a film about trotting for Grayling by someone who really knows their stuff! Most enjoyable!

Very clever angling in a magnificent scenery. Nothing better than a centrepin for an efficient downstream bait presentation and a good feeling of the river bed and fish caught. Tradition and up to date tackle is here a total succes. Thank you Daniel and Drennan team.

Nice one Drennan! We just uploaded a Grayling video ourselves... that 13ft Acolyte was perfect for the task!

Brilliant video. I was on the Salisbury Avon yesterday and had 6 different species in one session. One was a Grayling. Absolutely beautiful and all fish in pristine condition.

Beautiful video and really enjoyable watching. As a fly fisherman I do fancy having a go at trotting, especially on some rivers I fish with difficult back casting. Thank you for sharing, tight lines

I'm fortunate to live in this area and have membership to fish this river in the winter. Nothing like a cold morning on the river and then home to get cosy.

Lovely video, you really captured the essence of grayling fishing, for me. One question, you reel in backwards kn the centrepin, is there a reason for this? 👍👍

Why oh why is it deemed necessary to have constant music through a video. All of natures music edited out and replaced with something else that’s nothing to do with nature.
Once again proof that owning a camera doesn’t make one a film producer, and the sole reason why, what should have been a good watch, was ruined for myself.
