Great vid Andy as always, and as usual you make catching fish so so easy.Most of your tips as are other top anglers are based on (imo) logic when you really think about it but putting it into practice is the key.Learnt a lot off this vid and I'm in a match tomorrow which by all accounts is out and out hard pellet fishing so I'm going to fish or try to fish something similar to your tactics I've seen on your vid.Once again thank you and good luck inAll your up and coming qualifiers and finals .cheers.

Shame some of the platforms are fooooked. A guy across from me fell in 30 mins into the match last year when a platform partially collapsed. The owner knows this happened as one of the staff went teararssing across to see what happened on his quad bike 😆

Had some amazing Dace in my area in the 80's on a local river. Unfortunately long gone due to abstraction, predation and pollution. Still catch the odd one around the half pound but didn't realise how blessed we were back then

Absolutely love my 11ft 1.25 twin tip. Any chance of a 10ft version with a lighter test curve option to tackle those tight swims on smaller rivers and ponds ?

Well done Ireland. Also saw in video the maggots in the water trying to keep them cool, but have you ever trid Evaporative Cooling using Hessian sacks? even better if there is more wind. I use it when macherel fishing to keep keep the catch fresher, but in this case you could put the maggot bag or even the entire Water bucket inside a hessian sack and just keep it wet and as the water evaporates and the bag slowly dries it cools it. (everyone has experienced this when you get out the sea after a swim and the wind chill hit)

I can't help buy think Drennan have dropped the ball on this one you should off made either a 2lb or 1,75 tc duo, this rod is very limited to barbel.

Nice lookin rods might treat myself..any idea can you buy the butt sectiion of the twin tip duo 1.25 tc from drennan ????

I have a pair of the the 1.5lb duo and they are a really versatile rod and really great looking

I use 1.75lb rods for my carp fishing, if these didn't have hi-vis tips they'd be great.

With todays polutions, poaching & predation, will there be any Barbel left in our rivers.

Drennan rods are possibly the best on the market, the build quality puts companies like Fox and Sonik to shame. I will definitely have a look at these.

If only the rivers weren’t so polluted,but no doubt the rods are superb as usual

My series 7 is still going strong if you don't have any drennan rods they are superb worth every penny

The look, feel and the quality of Drennan rods are just sublime. I would choose them over any high-end maker. (That said, i absolutely love my normark multi tip, that i have used for 30 years) !

I can't wait to see them in the shops, soon I hope, 😊

oap here x match angler and have fished that peg on medley a fair few times over the years and caught all sorts off it.never seen a perch like that come from that area before but bought back some memmories of times gone by for me and well done on the catch

Hi Drenan. I have been mainly a carp angler for years. I want to diversify with simpler fishing, the one from my childhood. Can I use the 3-meter version, for a river that is up to 6 m wide. How will the rod cope with catching carp up to about 2 kg? Is it a good option? Thanks!

Good video and a great angler 'but' his story did not match what happened? He shows a 'rotten rig' to lose the lead if snagged, then did not use it. He said his net was getting dragged out of his hand with the flow, not on that peg it is slack where he is landing it ... why not just tell the truth?
