@@workmanprotection so you don't clean or oil the frame's trigger group when you field strip the firearm and clean/oil the slide? Have you even read an owner's manual for a Glock? 😂😂 This video is lacking VITAL information for proper maintenance.
That gun is most likely still gonna run because glocks are extremely reliable under the worse conditions. However that is not the correct cleaning procedure according to Glock. Refer to the manual guys. This man gonna have you all running around with oily Glocks. When Glocks are designed to run on very minimal oil
I use non aerosol ballistol on everything, cleans lubes and protects, and i dont need a bunch of different oils and cleaners, just bore snake, brush and cloth
Adding oil first is just gonna make it that much harder to clean the debris. Clean your slide with a brush while dry, then oil, wipe down and clean a little more removing excess oil.
I once heard some fudd who worked at a gun shop say to another guy who asked him how often he cleaned his gun: "i dont clean my gun i just shoot" sometimes i wonder if that guy still has all his fingers
For brand new firearms, I'd use a well made degreaser like Frog Lube or Simple Green. Go over the metal parts. Remove the degreaser, clean & oil with a CLP like Clenzoil spray or Slip 2000 EWL, LPX(Mpro7).
You should never pull the brush back up after pushing it through the bore. Only brush in one direction the same way the bullets are fired. Especially when using a brass brush. Nylon isnt as bad as brass but still its a good rule of thumb.
@@jackmemphis777glocks are extremely susceptible to malfunctions. Keep your Glock firearm clean and maintained correctly especially if your carrying it
I clean with q tips and an old rag from a shirt get all the gunk out with oil and lube after the organic clean. Is that lube you using as oil? My orange bottle is lube for the slide and other parts. Oil is only used to clean the barrel? I think oil is the dark bottle and lube is the orange ?
Yea no lol. Bore solvent in the bore and all the parts caked in fouling. Let it sit for a min to get it down. Wipe it all off very good and then add oil at the end, spread oil, re assemble.
Using an oily rag is not likely to cause issues, but if you’re dumping oil directly into that area, it could gum up and cause issues especially in cold weather
Okay I’m definitely not the type to bash people in the comments but what the actual hell?… Definitely not even close to full manufacturers recommendations (which is a ridiculously simple cleaning procedure). Also, did you just “clean” the debris with lubricant?… I mean, in a pinch out in the field I’d do what I had to do, but you clean the gun with cleaning solvent/bore cleanser then come through and lubricate the proper areas (which you didn’t even do)… this is a mess! I pray he is trolling people…
No such thing as bad publicity, if he did something wrong, I would think it’s on purpose to get comments, shares and views. If I had a channel I would sprinkle in some nonsense here and there just for the engagements on the post 😂
I would advise AGAINST using, install any Glock pistol grip plugs. I tried a Glock 22 series plug, 2021. The part came flying out at the range. It comes loose with recoil. Sometimes carry or normal ccw can make these plugs pop out too.
Horrible. I clean with a dry brush first, then i use very little solvent on q-tip to clean all areas except the breach face, and inside atriker channel. Then i add lube to another q-tip and clean areas the manufacturer recommends to lube. Done.
No solvent, and putting oil on the bottom of the slide and brushing it in is a bad time. That oil is gonna mix with unspent powered and foul up the entire slide, and you’re gonna have break down the slide and deep clean EVERYTHING. Way too much oil, to boot.
Dropping oil is the last step of the cleaning procedure..
It goes in then also. Oil cleans pretty good also. Basically there's no wrong amount of oil unless it's 0
My boy said fuc the lower half of the gun😂😂😂🤦🏿♂️
Typically it’s not recommended to breakdown the parts of the frame during a basic cleaning. Thanks for watching!

You all just got trolled
I was in the military this won’t pass inspection 😢
Clean it like this in the dessert. Lol
😅 sure not
No dude you NEED GUN BORE CLEANER FROM HOPPE’S

😂
Nothing to clean when the Glock was already cleaned.
Are u putting the spring on the first cut? I thought it was the 2nd😂
Thank You!!
Just cleaned my Glock 26 gen 5 brand new before taking to range and as my EDC
No problem! The 26 is a nice little gun!

They just released the Glock 26 gen5 MOS finally. The G26 is a great gun. The new MOS version would be great with a Holosun SCS
@@DavidLLambertmobile Thank You for those specific suggestions
Who needs to clean the lower? Not this guy.
always add a few drops of oil on the trigger bar and a drop on each side of the slide. with no oil added, you will have premature wear.
This hurt my soul. Bro said “just a little on the side” then rubbed it all into the striker with the brush.
that gun is drier than well. you get the point
nice easy & fast simple video thx
No problem! Let me know what else you want to see!

Thanks for the tip Terry! I never do with brass
I personally rather use a bore snake rope to clean it
Ngl this comment is more helpful than the video
@@SirDopeBoy Used to go through the hassle of cleaning rod and patches. Got a bore brush and never looked back.

Use a bore snake
Spray gun with lucas contact cleaner
Upper and lower
Instantly squeaky clean
Lube, and reassemble
I’m a shooters choice or Butch’s bore shine type first, then oil! You’re just putting clean oil over dirty oil. Might as well not even clean it.
Quick and easy, nice 👍🏼
Thanks!
Cleaning a gun with straight gun oil? That’s different. And the guys voice, wow.
Thank you sir 🙂
@@workmanprotectionBy "different", he means "absolutely wrong".
It's a Glock, if it's only been lightly used, then oil is all you need to clean it
What about hopped 9 bore cleaner? I never heard of using straight oil to clean
Nice cleaning tutorial very simple. This looks easy to do now
Thanks for watching! Glocks really are simple!
Ballistol. Liberally.
Lots of people pressed in the comments. It doesn't really matter how well you clean the Glock for it will run regardless
He's good
Wait, y'all are actually cleaning your guns?
Yeah if you count field stripping and blowing down the barrel a cleaning.
Don’t pull it back the bullet goes only one way and that’s forward
Um, you don’t clean guns with oil…you’re supposed to use solvent. Oil is applied after the gun is cleaned with SOLVENT
Um it's a Glock it doesn't really matter
@@jackmemphis777glocks are extremely susceptible to malfunctions. Keep your Glock firearm clean and maintained correctly especially if your carrying it
Lol yes, yes it does. It’s my job to know these things
@RichardRichardson-dp1lu apparently it's your job to be a dork 😂. Cleaning a gun ain't rocket science
So why is he doing it wrong? I don’t “clean” guns for a living. I’m a gunsmith, but yea cleaning is the most basic part of my job
OIL IN THE FIRING PIN /PLUNGER makes hydraulic action, JAM! Tf is guy talking about
That wasn't even a complete teardown of the upper.. you didn't even touch the lower.

Great video
JIM DANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where is the solvent?
To much oil Glocks don't need a lot of oil. If any at all
Looks like half metal fox
You forgot to oil it before assembly
There is still plenty of oil in the grooves. Thanks for watching!
The bore should never have oil.

Dog you cleaned the barell backwards you always clean from the breach to the muzzle not muzzle to breach.
LCP oil or hoppes gun solvent to clean then a light flim of hoppes oil to lube the slide
Thats not how u clean a gun 🤣
Thank you 🙏🏾
Any time!
Why do you have to make sure the gun is unloaded before cleaning it?
Because it’s very easy to have an accident if you are fiddling with a loaded gun. You also have to pull the trigger to disassemble it.
He thinks the oil is a cleaner.....😅
Thanks !
Any time!
I like your content!
Damn these comment bro…cleaning with oil is wrong?…CLP bro. Cleaning Lubricant Protection
Took me three times watching and scrolling through the comments to realize he’s cleaning with oil 😂
You aren’t supposed to run that back up the rifling, just down the barrel
Thanks for watching!
So are you not supposed to oil the barrel? Given it is in direct contact with the slide, I’d figured it would be highly recommended.
You can either oil the slide or the barrel or both. Since they are in direct contact if you oil one, the other will get oiled as well
@@workmanprotectionbruh... read your owner's manual. You're spreading misinformation and you're just outright wrong.

Put oil in the wrong spots
Great tutorial!
Thanks Daniel!
I thought your not suppose to have oil near the firing pin
Near, totally fine. Soaked in, not a great idea. You just don’t want it to be able to get all gummed up. Thanks for watching!

what material is the first brush? bore ??
It is the plastic nylon brush that comes standard in the Glock box
