Yes, that's the kind of testimony people need to hear, cause then they'll hopefully get it. I am Eastern Orthodox, a convert from protestantism. I started my journey partly because I read some really ignorant articles that some Reformed people had written. One of these narrow-minded articles is called 'When you are more blessed than the Virgin Mary' It is still online, google it. Even to my heavily Protestant ears that I had back then it was just foul and evil, draw really stupid unbiblical unwarranted conclusions. I though to myself, are these people really contemplating things properly? They do not understand things cohesively and try insolently to create tensions and divisions which are not there in the first place. They do not understand the RCC not the Eastern Orthodox. I am into becoming RCC, no problems with our theology in Eastern Orthodox church but we are not really united in faith and practice. We have massive problems and no practical way to solve these issue because we have no visible head. Love to hear such wonderful testimonies as the one you told us about. God bless you my dear.

1 Timothy 4 is talking about gnostics who banned all marriage for every body. Catholicism allows people to be married and even priests in some circumstances. Remember who caused that. The protestants. The protestants pushed against the catholic church in 1100s to stop priests from marrying. The protoprotestants were the cause of that. And it isn't ban for all people
Galatians 4:10 is about pagans slipping back into pagan holidays. Kinda really unrelated to catholicism.
      Titus 1:10 refers to protestants.
1 Corinthians is about boosting that you do more than what is required this goes to protestants who ban coffee, rock and roll , and dancing and boast about it.
Hebrews 10:10 is about being holy, holy and fully sanctified are different. The Israelite people despite worshiping baal are holy. They are not sanctified. Holiness and completion of sanctification are different.

    • @kevinkane9446
      @kevinkane9446 Před 2 měsíci

@sonicrocks2007 1 Timothy 4 would still apply today. When the Catholic church comes along and says you must fast on all Fridays of lent and ash Wednesday (Can.1249-53) this would be considered a doctrine of demons. There is nothing wrong with choosing to fast but to make it a requirement is against scripture.
I don't typically use the NLT translation, but it's fitting in this case as this translation describes catholics perfectly. There's no denying catholics attempt to earn favor and grace with God through these ridiculous rituals like lent, fasting, repetitive prayers, and acts of penance.
Galatians 4:10-11 You are trying to earn favor with God by observing certain days or months or seasons or years. 11 I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing.
Titus 1:9 refers to teaching sound doctrine and confuting those who oppose it, so if Catholics were truly following the Word of God pope francis would have been removed from his position long ago.
1 Corinthians 4:6 says not to go beyond what is written so when catholics teach things like these Marian dogmas, lent, repetitive prayers and doing acts of penance as a part of receiving God's forgiveness it would fall under that category.
Hebrews 10:10 is clear that we are sanctified once for ALL we do not need to go to a confession box and tell another sinful man everything we've done wrong week after week and then repeat a bunch of prayers and do acts of penance as a part of receiving God's forgiveness.

There is archeological evidence of hymns to Mary in the first century A.D. There was also no dispute until 1500 years after Christs death over the Eucharist. The Christianity you’ve been taught is all well and good, it’s just not the Christianity the disciples knew and spread in the ancient world. It would have been something very foreign to them. A famous quote from Peter Kreeft:
"Let 500 Protestants read the Bible and interpret it, and you'll have 500 new churches."
This quote highlights the idea that when individuals interpret the Bible without the guidance of a larger Christian tradition and authority, they may come to different conclusions and start their own denominations or churches. This has indeed been a phenomenon in Protestantism, leading to a proliferation of denominations and independent churches. Kreeft's quote is a commentary on this phenomenon, suggesting that individual interpretation of Scripture can lead to a fragmentation of Christianity.

I used to think the same but… I asked St. Anne and the Virgin Mary to pray for me, that I may be healed and have a child. I had uncontrollable seizures after an endometriosis surgery where I was told I would probably not be able to have children. I prayed the rosary every night and promised that if Our Lady prayed to her Son for me that I would dedicate my child to loving the Lord. I miraculously survived after weeks in ICU for the seizures where I saw Mary clothed in white light!!!! Three months later my husband and I were pregnant with our beautiful miracle and I have been seizure free for over 10 years!! Her middle name is Lily in honor of the purity of Our Mother and her prayers.
It was through Mary asking Jesus for a miracle that He revealed Himself at the Wedding at Cana! Jesus honors His mother by granting her prayers. - Eamon Duffy, an Irish historian, said, “There is, therefore, nothing directly approaching a papal theory in the pages of the New Testament,” and “from all indications, there was no single bishop of Rome for almost a century after the deaths of the apostles”.
      - Eamon Duffy is a Catholic Historian and he basically refutes that *Matthew 16:18* alludes to or supports papal authority. He said it without any confusion that the scriptures do not support the papacy. Therefore Peter was not singled out. When Christ said, “upon this Rock, I build my church”…. to say that he was forming a papacy through a lineage of Peter is speculation.
      - If that were true, there would be other scriptures to cross-reference the theory of Pontification. Paul would have had to check in with Peter if Peter was the Pope. Instead, Paul went to see Ananias. In fact, no man is infallible, but Peter was far less than infallible when he showed himself to be partial to the Gentiles. *Galatians 2:11-13.*. Paul checked Peter for his conduct.
      - The Rock is spiritual, not human.

So if ‘asking others besides Jesus to pray for you’ is considered a moral good in the Bible, how is it evil to ‘ask others besides Jesus to pray for you’.
Of course that’s not a bad thing, the video itself admits we should intercede. The question then is, is it spiritualism to ask a Saint to intercede for you. Let’s just ignore the fact spiritualism is condemned by the Catholic and Orthodox church’s, by threat of excommunication. Let’s simple ask, does it fit the definition:
Spiritualism believes you can have a two way conversation with the dead. And you’ve already hit a snag. John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die”. Wait so the saints in heaven are alive, even though they died? Yup. But wait you may ask, wasn’t the videos whole problem that you shouldn’t talk to the dead, but through Jesus saints aren’t dead. Yah, you can’t have spiritualism with alive people.
Now in rev 5:8 it states “When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS”.
Now the Protestants changes the word “saint” to “God’s people” in their bibles. So let’s go to the Greek to settle this. The Greek word used is “hagiōn” which means “holy ones” and is more accurately translated to saint. This is because the word is only given to people who were saved by Jesus Christ, aka a saint.

2: read 1st samuel 28:5-15. You'll see that you shouldn't be asking for intervention/intercession from those that have passed away.
3: This is just your first argument but again, this is clearly meant for those that are among us on this earth. Christ is the way, truth and life; you don't ask a saint to get you to Jesus' extension number and then you can contact him. It's a 1:1 connection to God, and you don't need saints.
4: Just because they pray for you in heaven doesn't mean you need to ask THEM for prayers. This mentality is very greco-roman pagan tier and it comes from a lack of wisdom
5: The prayers of the saints are exactly that. The prayers of the saints. They are not the requests of people on earth lol. Stop overcomplicating your own faith in Christ for no reason. Ask GOD for the things you want, not a Saint. Philosophically speaking, you're asking the wrong question when you say "what's so bad about praying to saints?" But the real question is "why should you request prayers from saints when you could speak with the Lord?" He knows our hearts, the saints do not.

I am honest and tell the truth when the Holy Spirit has me say something. When He says don't say anything, I don't. It is important that we follow our Lord in spirit and truth and LOVE people. ❤️✝️ A lot of times (whether Christian or Catholic), we can follow wrong teaching when we do not meditate on the Bible with the Holy Spirit. When you meditate on the Bible with the Holy Spirit day and night (not just morning and night but throughout the day as we go about our day) as God told us to do in scripture, you learn the Word of God. You learn the truth and you start following the Lord in spirit and truth because you're meditating on the Bible with the Holy Spirit for yourself and not relying on a Pastor or a Priest for the whole truth. Because even though we love our Pastor/Priests and honor them, they can make mistakes. Their info might be wrong. In the Bible, God says watch so you don't fall. So, we all need to be diligent and meditate on the Bible with the Holy Spirit for ourselves. We got to know the truth of the Word of God so that noone can deceive us knowingly or unknowingly.. ❤️

This too is false and completely unbiblical. Saint Paul is very clear when he tells believers to intercede on behalf of all men. The passage about Samuel in the Old Testament occurred before Christ's resurrection opened the gates of heaven to men. Now, the departed Christians are in heaven and are therefore more alive in Christ than we who are still in this vale of tears. Their intercession is powerful. If you think the intercession of the saints contradicts the book of Samuel, you would benefit from studying the Christian faith more closely.
      1) Did you notice Saul was not asking for Samuel's intercessory prayer? He was rather trying to SUMMON his spirit. This is called necromancy, and is a sin.

I saw your comment and there’s no easy way to say this. I apologize if my words bring you sorrow. *Matthew 16:18* is used by the Catholic Church to support their pontification theory, but I find no scripture that show Peter as superior to the others.
      - Eamon Duffy, an Irish historian, said, “There is, therefore, nothing directly approaching a papal theory in the pages of the New Testament,” and “from all indications, there was no single bishop of Rome for almost a century after the deaths of the apostles”. The Catholic National, a Catholic organ published this quote in July 1895.
      - Eamon Duffy was a Catholic Historian and he basically refutes that *Matthew 16:18* alludes to or supports papal authority.
*1 Corinthians 10:4* and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. 🙏🏾

Does a ghost appear in front of them and rebuke them in the name of the LORD and correctly prophecy their deaths?
      Come on, man.

The world- the Roman Church in particular is suffering Amos 8:11.
      Scripture says…
      Imitate Christ
      Walk LIKE him
      Put on his armor
      Be renewed
      Learn from him
      Become a new creation
      Do what he commands us
Be perfect and complete like his father
No where does he say we become Gods.
Scripturally Mary is a footnote. Historically the fathers spoke against such secondary reverence.
Origin- "If indeed the saints who are outside the body and are with Christ do and work anything in our behalf after the manner of the angels, who perform services for our salvation, let this also be considered among the secret things of God, not to be committed to
paper. We offer humble prayers to God Himself, who is over all, through His only begotten Son, to whom we make supplication inasmuch as He is the Propitiation for our sins, in order that He, as our High Priest, may offer our prayers to God"
Polycarp- "We worship Christ as the Son of God; the martyrs, however, we love as disciples and imitators of the Lord, as is right, on account of their unsurpassable benevolence toward their King and Teacher; and we wish to become their companions and disciples."
Yet here Rome continues in contextual error ignoring the word of God for its 4th party inferred gnostic tradition.
      MARY-
"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my SAVIOR,
Who needs a Savior? The sinless??? Nope. Jesus came for the sinful, not the righteous. If Mary was without sin then she is not in heaven.
      Luke 11:27-28 ESV
As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!" [28] But he said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
If scripture is deficient from the professed believer then the professed believer is either a false believer or deceived. Susceptible without the armor of God to manipulation by the words of men.

Death is the separation of the body and the soul. Spiritual life is in the soul. That NEVER dies!
Having had a few NDEs in my 74 years, I can say that looking back on a body from another dimension is very revealing. I was very much aware and "alive". In fact, everything about me was more real than "real". If you ever experienced this you would not say Mary or the Saints are "dead"!
The only DEAD are lost souls.
The hardest part of death is the dying. Damned souls undergo "eternal death" which means they are forever dying. That is really being "dead". There is no life for the damned, because God is LIFE. Yet the souls of the damned will last forever - dead souls - undergoing torment where the"worm never dies".
Without God these souls are DEAD, but still existing - forever!
Mary and the Saints are NOT AMONG THOSE! If Jesus is life and they died in Christ Jesus, they are alive as He Himself is alive. They have passed "from death to life".

The queen of heaven you're referring to, was a title of a god worshiped by the caaninites, which has nothing to do with Mary, the Mother of our Lord. It would be like saying because the Babylonians had a trinitarian god the Christian Trinity is the same thing. For one no Christian worships Mary, the Queen of heaven, as God. It is a title given to her because Jesus is the King of heaven from the davidic line, in which the mother, not the wife, is queen, or gebirah. If Jesus is truly a king from the line of David then that leaves only one option of who is queen, that being the holy Theotokos, Mary. The imagery St.John the Theologian uses in the book of Apocalypse further solidifies this, in which he sees the mother of Christ clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet wearing a crown of 12 stars. 1 Samuel 28: 5-15. Saul has a medium contact the spirit of Samuel. Samuel was a man of God, a prophet and has been in the temple of the Lord since childhood, a saint if you will. You know what he said to Saul when he appeared in spirit? He said, "Why are you bothering me?" Even the holy saints you pray to want to be left alone. Only Jesus can interceed for you. Therefore pray to Jesus.

@@maryleneellis7069 Saul is not a good example brother he turned his back on the Lord and the kingdom was taken from him. Go to revelations 12 and read about the woman standing on the moon clothed with the sun and a crown 👑 of twelve stars. Mother Mary is no ordinary Saint she is the queen of Heaven. Her intercession is encouraged in scripture and there are many miracles on earth that speak of her importance. The Virgin de Guadalupe. The Virgin de Las Lajas in Columbia. Supernatural miracles that defy science and the laws of nature. And the people that saw her said she claimed to be the Ever Virgin Mother Mary. Also when Jesus was on the mount of transfiguration he was seen talking to and praying with Moses and Elijah. Jesus showed us that there are Saints in heaven who knows what goes on and if Jesus himself talked and prayed with the Saints what does that tell you about intercession prayer. A prayer is asking only Jesus is worshiped. Catholics worship through the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist in mass. Taking the blood and body of Jesus in Holy Communion. And lastly in the story of the beggar Lazarus Jesus showed us that Father Abraham is alive and well in heaven and he has full knowledge of things and of people that came after him. So if you believe that people who truly love and follow Christ are dead then you do not understand the power of God. He has placed eternity in the hearts of men. And he has shown us many times in the bible that we will live with him Forever. You can definitely only talk to Jesus if you want. But Jesus set up his church to include all his people in worshiping him. Paul himself said to confess your sins to one another and pray and intercede to God with one another. If you ever actually pay attention to the Rosary and all the prayers that are said they are all directed to Jesus Christ. For some reason he loves his mother greatly and has given her honor by allowing the rosary to be a thing of petition and it draws many closer to God. The rosary was revealed to us it is not something men came up with it is from God. Do your research brother.

There are over 300,000+ protestant churches all claiming they are the true religion and they will go to heaven. I was a protestant, it was so confusing, I went to the Methodist church as a child, I went to the Presbyterian church when I was older, and a few others here and there but I never felt complete until I joined the Catholic Church through RCIA. Unlike many protestants bashing the Catholics, they haven't a clue what the first Christian Religion is all about. There is a reason there are so many ceremonies and religious holidays in the Catholic Religion. I suggest you listen to a Catholic Apologist, they have years of study and theology, they are constantly researching to find any claims that are reliable information as to whether or not these accusations from protestants are true concocted by those who are. hostile to the church. As a Catholic for 8 years now, I have never heard a preist, bishop or archbishop insult the protestants and that alone makes us true Christians. Rumors and lies to suit their own agenda is not Christian, it is of the devil! Look, we are all trying to get to the same place, to call the "Church built on the Rock of Peter, commanded by Jesus and Jesus is the founder of the church, Matthew 16 13-19. Whether you're a Calvinist, a Fundamentalist, Mormon, Mainline Protestant, they are all different. The Catholic Church celebrates each mass the same, and there is not a time when Catholics hold mass that the Holy Eucharist is celebrated.Matthew 26 26-29 Jesus broke off a piece of bread from a loaf and said "take this and eat this is my body "Then he took a cup gave thanks and gave it to them saying drink from it, all of you for this is my blood of the covenant which will for this is my blood of the covenant which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins." The problem with people like this man who apparently is a Catholic basher is, they have no idea what they are talking about. Before you believe this nonsense he is spewing, google Catholic Apologist, most of them are highly educated men who, at one time, were Protestants.

I was always so confused on where i thought God was leading me, and I felt so scared and guilty all the time, it felt like God was trying to play a game of Gotcha with me, i spent pretty much every day begging God do spare my life and not to leave me behind, everything I did was wrong in at least one 'prophet's eyes. It was such a viscious cycle of false urgency and relentless guilt tripping, i'm still recovering from some things. I'm so glad that I've decided to hang on to the truth. I hope I'll be able to educate myself even further as the time goes on.

Mother Mary is very very much alive, in Heaven. After my wife and I got married last summer, I prayed to Christ for us to conceive a child. I asked the blessed mother for her intercession and prayers. I lit candles, including in St. Peter’s Basilica while on our honeymoon, pray the rosary every day, and wear the brown scapular. We conceived a month or two later with a due date of June 9, 2024. Over the course of 24 hours, we received two signs that Mary interceded on our behalf. First, we are now scheduled for an induction or C-section on May 31, 2024, which was the only available date for a week on either side. That date just so happens to be the Feast Day of the Visitation, when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth and where we get the Hail Mary prayer. Our daughter’s middle name, by coincidence, is going to be Elizabeth. Second, my sister was trying to purchase a medal pin with charms on it to put on the baby’s car seat. The site wouldn’t allow her to purchase it. She tried the following day and a new charm was available, a blessed mother medallion. The site then allowed her to purchase it. It might not seem like much to skeptics or non-believers, but I truly feel like these are signs that the Blessed Mother prayed for us and interceded for us.
