Awesome recipe, I want to try it out this week. TIP: You know the two end slices of a sandwich bread loaf? Put those down, face up in the baking pan and set your meatloaf on top of them. The bread ends will absorb the grease as the meatloaf cooks. Clean up is a breeze if it's all baked on a sheet of parchment paper, too.
Great tip!
what an awesome tip! i’m trying it this week!
I've been making meatloaf this way for a few years. For years my meatloaf was mediocre. I'm talking 56 years of trial and error meatloaf. Hubby actually looks forward to my meatloaf now. 👍
That is awesome.
Just a tip…place the meatloaf pan in a shallow pan of hot water; it’ll stay incredibly moist. Personally, I would add sautéed onions to the meatloaf mixture.
Great tip!
Stove Top, what a great idea!!!! Thank you, ON IT! 🤓👍
Hope you enjoy
I'm glad I ran across this video because I've been wondering how a meatloaf would be with stovetop stuffing as a binder...
Thank you for watching.
best meatloaf i ever had was as burgers! we had a bunch of left over meatloaf and cut it up into about an inch and a quarter slices and then threw those on the grill. they were Amazing!
Sounds amazing.
It looked simple. I haven't made it for a long time. Thanks for the ideas. I used to use a bread pan.
You are so welcome! I used to have a meat loaf pan, which was basically a bread pan with an insert in the bottom to let the grease drain through.
Good idea. I put an egg, some onion and fresh parsley.
Sounds great!
Savory stove top is what I use also. I also make patties this way sometimes and throw them on the grill in the summer. I add ketchup and mustard salt and pepper and good to go.😋
Great idea!!
Have you ever tried making Meatloaf with a muffin tin? Cuts cooking time by a ton and makes it easier to divide into separate meals too. :) Also fun to add cheese on top of them when reheating.
Great idea!
I absolutely will try this! Thanks!
Thank you for watching.
Just tip..put meatloaf on rack in pan so not sitting in grease
Sometimes I do that... it depends on the fat content of the meat I am using.
Brilliant idea!
Thank you! Cheers!

New sub here. This sounds so easy and delicious. I learned later that you did add 2 eggs. Gonna try your meatloaf recipe. We love good o'l stovetop. TFS and God Bless.
Yeah... I got so busy talking I forgot to say something when I added the eggs... glad you caught it though.
Maybe moisten the stuffing with broth before mixing it with the meat
That would work... only the stuffing on the outside of the meatloaf was crunchy though... I thought it added a good texture.
WOW-ZA!!...Looks as if this video has quickly become the most viewed video you have made so far on your channel...and it's leading by quite a bit too!... It's your first video to surpass 1K views! Many Congratulations!!🎉🎊🥳🎉🎊🥳
Wow, thanks!
@@VanceTriedIt My pleasure!🤗😉😊
We enjoy meatloaf and I will try this. I use a catsup only glaze. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy
no onion,no egg???
No onion... two eggs.... I poured it in but was so busy waxing poetic I didn't mention it in the video.
we always used oatmeal and eggs for the binder ...
There are so many ways to bind it... I like to play around with it.
@@VanceTriedIt me too...
Interesting idea. I will try but will use half gr. turkey.
Sounds tasty... let me know how it worked out.
Stovetop is excellent for meatloaf
absolutely
Very good presentation. I don't believe you said how many eggs u used. My mom always spilled off the grease after baking and hour and then baked another half hour. I know there's much grease in ground meat, didn't see any in the dish after it was cooked🤔
two eggs... using the 85% lean left very little grease in the pan
What do you use as a setting agent. Sounds dry?😊
two eggs.... I poured it in but was so busy waxing poetic I didn't mention it in the video.
2 eggs and a box of stove top. Looks good to me.
It was!
In the meat you added stove top. What else? Was it egg? Thank you
Two eggs
Not to change the subject but need some advice, what is the best cut of beef for CHICKEN FRIED STEAK & GRAVY ? Haven’t made it in years I used thin top round I used to use Cubed Steak (had non)boy was it tuff, don’t want to do that again. Thanks
P.S.I LOVE YOUR STOVE TOP MEATLOAF RECIPE. THANKS
Sirloin tip steak is really the route I would go... It is IMHO the best mix of economical and tender... let me know how it works out for you
Thank You.
@@VanceTriedIt Thanks for answering my ? About CHICKEN FRIED STEAK
Did u use eggs
yes... two eggs... I was waxing poetic when I put them in and didn't day anything about them
No egg..water or onions? Isn't it dry?
He did not say anything about adding in any eggs, but, he did add 2 eggs to the mixture.
yup
I can't stand the feeling of raw meat or eggs on my hands!
I love my gloves.
Just tip..put meatloaf on rack in pan so not sitting in grease
You can also use rolled up aluminum foil... it lets the fat drain down but you don't have to worry about the meatloaf "grabbing hold of" the wire rack.
