I feel like the phrase âexpert climberâ is synonymous with âsimply not dying on this specific expeditionâ when a lot of the people who climb these mountains are pros in the physical sense but not in climbing mountains, those arenât the same thing just because theyâre extremely fit. Very few of these climbers are really truly apt at their sport I feel like.
I bet people that climb mountains get to the top and look around and think âoh man, I thought it was gonna be a better viewâ
They definitely don't
More like âlooks great, wow đźâŠ. Whatâs next ??? đ€š gotta get down this before the next mountain to climbââŠ.. đ đ
It seems like at least on Everest people donât spend much time at the summit, I guess Iâve always thought people climbed because it was a challenge, not so much the view
Then some science nerd tells you, Mt Chimborazo is actually the closest one can get to the moon; Everest isnât the âhighest pointâ.
@@twocyclediesel1280Chimborazo isnât even closeđ€Šđ»ââïž
When skiing down such a huge, steep mountain, how does one NOT cause an avalanche? Thatâs one of those things called a âno brainerâ. All that snow just waiting for something to dislodge it. Youâre skiing across areas not preceded by anyone, all the way down, and you expect there WONâT be an avalanche?
Great point, Nebraska is pretty flat where I live so while we are used to snow, Iâve never given much thought to avalanches (Iâve been to Colorado several times and skied some growing up but green runs for me!)
Great compilation thanksđđđ«đ„Ÿâïž
Great video! I never thought about somebody above me causing an avalanche. Duh! I'm the lead climber from here on out...
Iâm just staying off the mountain now!
God bless this Man and the loved ones he left behind.
I find him inspiring.
Horrible parents do this to their kids. Just have your kids when our bodies are meant to 18-25âŠ. Then when youâre kids are 20 youâll be 40⊠easy, then do everything . Fools. So happy I had mine at 21âŠ. Grossly selfish of any parent but a mother? Our loves are meant to be stronger then all.. these climbs take MONTHS.. so she was gone for months at a time. Kids probably barely knew her
No one would ever criticize a father the way they do mothers for taking risks. The deaths that anger me are the ones who ARENT prepared for their climbs and others end up dying because of them like sherpas. she was obviously very talented at what she did and we can live in bubble wrap our whole lives. I gave up motorcycles when we had our son but my husband didnât, as I was told I am the âmomâ and shouldnât take extra risks. Son is now 15 and learning to ride motorcycles and Iâm finally back to riding with my husband on his (didnât get my permit again and probably wonât, however Iâm considering a trike as a safer alternative.)
People criticize parents of both genders literally all the time for doing dangerous mountaineering trips. What are you talking about? It is extremely selfish.
@@noodlemaker8700Women are held to much higher standards in everything, especially parenting đą
â@@noodlemaker8700 no they really don't
I respect these people so much, they have so much courage and guts. But holy shit if you are gonna go climb mountains why are having kids? Thats selfish af. Those kids lost their mom cause she had to go ski down a huge ass mountain. Just dont have kids and live that lifestyle then.
i heard that she was so strong and so awesome, that she had to get a license for her strength because so much power can be dangerous
All this and they arenât even at the highest point. Mt Chimporazo in EcuadorâŠ.closer to the moon than Mt Everest:)
"Kids, I'm sorry to have to tell you that your mom is dead. She was killed while skiing. Would you like to go to McDonalds for lunch?"
What an intelligent comment !
Haven't they suffered enough?.
Not so Happy Meal.đ
A mother who properties her hobby than her children, is not inspiration, it's selfish and ignorant
Is it okay for fathers?
â@@nordboya1656of course it is. Father's can do whatever they want and it's fine đ
For all you âIâm going to climb the worldâs highest mountainâ folks, no offense butâŠâŠEverest is not.
Is not what?
Mount Everest's peak is the highest altitude above mean sea level at 29,029 feet [8,848 meters].
Mount Chimborazo's peak is the furthest point on Earth from Earth's center. The summit is over 6,800 feet [2,072 meters] farther from Earth's center than Mount Everest's summit.
In height, Everest is the highest, you're talking about closest to space from the centre of earth, in which Mt Chimborazo wins.
"Professional hiker"?? There's no such thing..
