Dark wood doesn't itself attract mobs. The thing is, it's so large and thick it creates lots of shadows under the trees, causing mobs to spawn. Lighting up the area would fix the problem

Pewds you can carry around an Ender chest with you and it’ll give you a whole 27 more inventory slots. You make it with 8 obsidian surrounding an eye of ender (blaze powder+ender Pearl) and you need to mine it using silk touch

Felix, you probably know this but starting a raid in a village gets you a totem of undying as well and it is way easier than a woodland mansion because you are in open space and are helped by an iron Gollum. You can have as many raids as you want to get as many totems. :)

Pewdiepie raided a woodland mansion on episode 15 in both his first minecraft series and hardcore series.
Pewds should've made like 3 iron golems and walked them around on a leash. You'd be surprised how easily they shut down absolutely everything in the mansion, especially evokers and vexes. And now that you can repair them, they're even better at it.
