There are actual REAL barn venues that are already set up for weddings. Julie was right about the barn.
There was no way that the barn the bride’s mom wanted to use would have been ready in time and the venue Julie approved of was much better suited for the wedding reception.
This wedding could be really great. If the moms could work together and combine their visions together.
Luba would have had to tell the limo company exactly where they were going when she ordered the limo, which would have included the groom's step-mom Julie's address. That was deliberate. Smiling Luba has a dark side.

The Groom's Mother is Just as Important as the Mother of the Bride. It seemed VERY Suspicious that Luba "forgot" to pick up the Groom's Mother in the Limo. What a CRUEL, MEAN thing to do, especially on the Wedding Day! SHAME ON LUBA!

Tacky, cheap ,DIY wedding. As the groom said this is the mothers style not theirs. Luba is so condescending & up herself. Is this the wedding Luba never had for herself. I hope the groom redeemed himself before the wedding & begged forgiveness.
After watching these shows with all the craziness, I think it would be excellent for couples getting married to watch because it would help them know what and who to avoid as they plan their celebration. And also how to find a good compromise when they have differing views. 😊😊😊
Oh NO, the event planner has to do the work she should be doing with an event staff. Uh, I would never hire an event planner who expected wedding guests, parents, bride or groom to set up.

I don't think they actually hired her. Think they used her reputation as a great wedding planner for the show, and to help mesh both ideas of the mom's together for the end result. I think they add in trying to make people do things to seem more chaotic for TV. Honestly don't think the mom's are as extreme as they make them seem, and they get along alot more then it comes across..
There wasn’t one thing about the brides moms wedding choices that I liked. A wedding should look like a wedding and a barbecue should look like what Luba did. The brides dress looks 2 times too small and you could see her stomach straight through. I think the whole thing was a mess. I am not against barn weddings, but this is what you get when you let someone else pay for your wedding. I hope his mom can hold a reception style dinner for them and she can get a better dress and he could get a jacket. Luba should have immediately paid for a limo to send to his mom. She should have kept the fact she forgot to herself. P.S. I love apple fritters too, but I would never eat them at a wedding because they get sticky with each bite. I think his stepmother, who was a little bit of a snob, but there would have been a gorgeous wedding, that was class and elegance.
The way the groom and groomsmen were dressed I thought they were the Amish.

I totally and completely agree. The wedding would have been much more like an actual wedding if Julia had planned it instead.
They should choose a person who think about the bride and the groom.
The "vine-addicted" mom wanted a vine related wedding.
The "excentric" mom wanted a excentric wedding (no wedding cake etc).
None of them focused too much on the bride and the groom.
@@sngray11 Yeah...and that means that the wedding would be an averange wedding that people have seen many times and people won't easily remember 30 years after the event.
Everything has its pros and cons.
I don’t understand why they force the couple to pick one vision… all of these weddings would turn out so much better if they combined some elements from both mother’s visions and then there wouldn’t be any drama and it would be a much more collaborative effort. But I guess reality TV thinks drama and conflict is the only way have a good TV show.🤔 Also, this is the first wedding on this show where the mom who’s vision wasn’t chosen wasn’t able to create a couple elements out of their own vision.
it would be awwesome if they had a set up for, brides, grooms, grooms mom and brides mom, then combined elements from all of them together to make everyone happy.🎉

As a wedding guest, I would have much preferred the vineyard and wine tastings. That would have been a fun treat and a party wedding celebration all in one with ADULTS. Sorry, this choice appears to be rigged or maybe, Raya really is low class.
Yes only if it's a pure 21+ wedding. If it's a 15+ then you need to tone down the pomp and alcohol. There is a balance between formality and a wedding being relaxing, whimsical, and informal.
I think wedding day is more about bride and groom , the guest can do the stuff they like at their own wedding
@Kim Smith so then don’t drink the wine… most people do drink or like wine now. A vineyard would have been lovely. The barn Gina found was nice, but way too cold for outside ceremony
Margo you can plan that for your own wedding or your kids. The bride groom and guests all looked very happy and it was different. Fun quirky but classy. Your comment about the bride being low class simply because she liked her mums vision is frankly pretty low class yourself!
@Kim Smith most vineyards have indoor venues that are lovely and it would not have been a wine “tasting”, wine would have been served. If you noticed, the venue location was colder than where their homes were. It was too cold for outside and yo7 should always have a contingency plan for bad weather. That’s just good planning. While the wedding is about the bride and groom, you also want your guests to have a good time. It was most important at our wedding to have great food, great wine, great champagne for our guests to enjoy.

THE ENTIRE WEDDING WAS COMMON AND KITCH !!!!!! They purple wine one would have been much more stylish.... This was really trash !!!!

Yeah. I think it is heavily produced and scripted. The producers give “hints” to the people about what they want to see in the next scene, without really telling them what to say.
Agreed. It would be much better if they combined both mother’s visions in a way that made the weddings classy and so that both mothers were onboard and willing to work together instead of causing drama and splitting families apart before the bride and groom are even married. smh.

I LOVE THE HALLOWEEN LADY!!! It's my favorite holiday! I love the buffet idea, but you have to have cake. I always wanted a Halloween themed wedding, with everyone in Halloween costumes. I'm the vampire. 😊

If you love each other a wedding doesn’t matter. Weddings are for other people. It doesn’t matter if mom cries she’s been looking forward to this. Go to a judge and do it. There no hassle. Save your money for a great honeymoon.

Who calls the wedding planner? These people have to know what they are getting into before time and all of them act like they have no clue.
I love the idea of having an outdoor ceremony in nature and a reception in a lovely barn. Some people care way too much about being perceived as classy and having expensive taste. This was so much more fun! The bride looked amazing in her dress, and the guests were all smiling and having a great time.
Rather this wedding than a boring classic wedding much more fun

Vineyard wedding all the way for me
There was a whole open sided barn setting they could of done the ceremony in, you could see in the background! Rain wouldn't of mattered! But I feel like they always make one mom super out there with her ideas, and the complete opposite for the other mom..I feel like if the grooms biological mom did a set up, it would of been a mix of the brides mom and grooms step mom!

Agreed. The top was too small and it was too tight on her abdomen which made it unflattering. The dress that Julie also thought looked nice on the bride would have been far more flattering on her.

If his mother didn't came back, then, gis mother shouldn't complain, his mother wasn't there to "defend the bride".

My guess is that is what is covered by the show. Because in other shows they are given a certain budget to spend sans the bride having any control, or they are given a wedding planner and three wishes, etc.

I would’ve gone with the barn wedding instead of the winery wedding. Don’t get me wrong. I highly enjoy a black tie affair, but Julie’s wedding was so cookie-cutter. I would much rather eat apple fritters in a barn, instead of going to another wedding at another winery.

i’m so surprised they picked her moms…. it doesn’t look or feel like a wedding.. this is embarrassing. yeah no. i feel bad for the groom the wife definitely forced him into this. the bridesmaids didn’t even had matching dresses. i’d cry if this was my wedding and not happy years.
