so the wooden vase guy is actually the mortar piece of a mortar and pestle set. It looks like since there’s no branding on it,
it could be hand carved. I know in Haiti they make a lot of handmade mortar and pestle sets that are very similar to that. Given your location I bet that was a family owned piece. It’s truly beautiful and you got it for a steal even without the pestle. I wouldn’t use it for anything other than a decorative piece, I think adding anything to it would take away from the carved flower and leaves. It’s really beautiful, that is a fantastic find. With dark green decor or with woven pieces or even something monstera it would give off a beautiful tropical vibe. Really great for summer!

18:16 being Puerto Rican I feel it is my duty to inform you that’s a pilón! Its supposed to come with a matching wood pestle and it’s used to mash up ingredients (usually plantain to make mofongo and tostones)

If spots on jewelry bike isn't flaked off gold plating and is rust or corrosion, try foil balled up and rub on them! I do this on metal fenders of my vintage Schwinn bike! If gold plated maybe get gold spray paint and cover it.
Primark is a shop that originated in the UK (specifically Ireland) so those green leaf shorts may have come from the UK
never knew they don't have it in the us. it's not really known for it's quality though

Hope you got through it okay and took some time to rest afterwards. Meltdowns/breakdowns are always confusing and scary and exhausting, especially when you're too far into them and can't do much other than deal with them and let them happen while you try coping strategies. I find CZcams videos really useful too!
Hi Raven, enjoyed your thrift haul. The wooden carved brown thing is what we latinos call a pilon. It is a wooden version of a mortar and pestle. It usually comes with a wooden pestle. That would look nice with a potted plant inside tho'.

You crochet, so you don't need to feel guilty about a simple white tank. You "could" do lace work for sleeves or a cute trim around the bottom or just a nice collar.

hi!! the wooden vase thing is most likely a pilón, which is used to grind herbs and other things for cooking :) it usually comes with a wooden cylinder thing to go along with it

If you haven't heard of this already, look up a floral frog or flower frog. Basically is an item that will let you arrange or hold flowers in a basin that isn't vase-shaped. Used by the Japanese in the art of ikebana (flower arranging), they're popular among florists. Might be worth looking into getting one to put in the oddly-shaped wooden flower bowl. I would also probably get a small basin to slide inside just in case the inside of that wooden bowl isn't waterproofed. Again, just a thought I had... also fitting because it's "frog" related! I am early! My dogs loved Easter egg hunting. I used plastic eggs only in the colors they could see I let them smell them before I put them in not to hard of spots and they went nuts. They had a blast one of my girls was even bringing me the eggs even though she has mastered popping them open. They had so much fun they got more into it and for sure are going to want to always find eggs every year now. Good puzzle game so long as you have dogs that don't try and eat the plastic eggs like mine don't try and eat them just pop them eat the treat and find the next.

Froggy I love ur channel! For the bicycle stand, maybe you could spray paint it with another coat of gold to cover the spots up! I have done this with so many metallic items to restore them or just give them a new look!

Called a pilo’n or mortar for grinding spices. You can use gold spray paint or paint it with an inexpensive craft gold paint. Called pitting or oxidizing, happens a lot to gold or brass items like tarnishing.

Hi froggy! The places where it's black on the jewlry holder is where the gold 'paint' is coming off. You can fix this by sanding and painting it with either acrylic or spray paint in a color you'd like and then adding a type of sealant on top!❤

For any stains, try Dawn Powerwash!! It's incredible, and won't pull the color from your clothes. Spray it on, let it sit just a little, then wash like normal. 🖤
