Why are most of the hybrid rudiments named after cheese. Also my favorite is a tie between paradiddlediddle and hertas. So much fun to play

You should do a video on Scholastic drum composition/arranging. Things to keep in mind when working with high school and middle school drumlines/percussion ensembles. Elementary school too if they exist
Actually, that would be kind of interesting, I'm an arranger and composer, and I've done a lot of work for schools. It seems like it's difficult to figure out sometimes what constitutes what grade level. Percussion ensembles are one thing that have recently been greenlit for certain copyright clearance.

Hey I love your content, man! I’m actually a high school drill instructor right now and our DL is struggling Ngl. I have no drum chops I was hired for brass but I try to help them. I’ve just got no idea what to do and how to do it. Is there any chance you could make a video on how to start with a DL if you don’t have the experience or the budget for a perc instructor? Thanks!

What’s the difference between Candy Apple and herta?
What I wanna know is where these names come from? I’m so used to classical names of things being Italian or French. And ghost notes are called whole rests in my neck of the woods.
candy apples and hertas have the same rhythm but a different sticking which also invloves a different use of technique between both rhythms, and ghost notes are mainly a visual effect, usually in drum corps or indoor drumlines
I’ve been looking for some rudiments to get better at the tenors so maybe if you can can you send me some of those rudiments
