  • Monday's rainy hike with Cane along Lick Creek down in the McCreary County section of the Daniel Boone National Forest.. Once we reached Lick Creek we headed off-trail along Turkey Branch to check out some new-to-me waterfalls.. We stumbled upon a waterfall I didn't have marked, A Branch of Turkey Branch Falls, before reaching Turkey Branch Falls, Upper Turkey Branch Falls, and Uppermost Turkey Branch Falls.. From there we followed the cliffside around to a new-to-me false arch I didn't have marked, Big Leaner False Arch, and then found a nearby undocumented waterfall just above the first falls I named A Branch of Turkey Branch Upper Falls.. After that we headed back Lick Creek Trail and continued to Lick Creek Falls Trail, before venturing off-trail again to check out Jewel Falls.. Finally we finished our day reaching our final destination of the day, Lick Creek Falls, where we relaxed for a bit before hiking back out in a steady rain shower.. This was an awesome day out chasing falling water while seeing 5 new-to-me waterfalls, 1 new-to-me arch, and two old favorite waterfalls 🤙
