Nice, David. I've had my fair share of early morning sunrises, but haven't really gone after sunsets. I'm pretty close to Pilot Knob, and thinking I need to make an effort to get out there.

What are your thoughts on the gorge considering charging for admission? I don't mind the idea as long as the funds are used properly and there's a decrease the traffic. My only concern is the logistics. If I have to wait in any sort of line to purchase a pass or get the pass checked, I will not be happy. If it's something I can buy online I wouldn't mind. Buzzard's Roost South is one of my faves. Thanks as always.

If you have read the journals of Jonathan Swift (Swift Camp Creek name sake) and the Legend of his silver mine you would know how Sunset arch got its name. Rebecca Timmins in the 1870s and 1880s searched for the Swift mine in that area. This is why both arches are in the same general area but opposite sides of the creek. You can read articles published in the Hazel Green Herald from the 1880s online at the Library of Congress web site about Mrs. Timmins.

Lily Mountain Overlook is underrated (and I'm not complaining in the least). I love the rolling hills. I prefer that to many overlooks in the Gorge where you just look at the next ridge over.

Really cool falls I’d like to see.....but haven’t yet. Really like the upper falls best. This was about a year ago and seemed secluded....which I like. Can I ask.....the more rain, the more wort it? It looked as if it had good flow. Might try that one. Been watching yours and D Rob’s videos and enjoy them and learn as well. But I stick to my area mostly....and still branching out. I know it well. And dude, I sure hope You and Cane throw frisbee as it would do remarkably well. Those little whistles when she gets too far ahead...lol. Cane listens well...good dog and trainer.
