Lots of helpful information about staff spacing options. The audio on this particular video was especially low (haven't noticed it on previous videos). Keep up the great work!
Thanks John! Excellent presentation! Two questions: 1) “concertina drag”: where does the “concertina” term comes from? It sounds vaguely Italian but I can’t find any reference to it. The closest is “concertino”, that is the player sitting next to the section leader in a string section. 2) while I find it useful what “concertina” does, I find it strange and frustrating that I can’t do the same from the bottom staff. I found a workaround but it’s not gracious at all.
How do you group systems into 2 or 4 bar sections? Is there a way to do this once you've inputted all of the material or does it have to be set prior to? Thanks.
I think you need the casting off options in Layout Options? You can do this at any point during a project steinberg.help/dorico/v1/en/dorico/topics/engrave_mode/engrave_mode_casting_off_systems_per_frame_fixing_t.html#engrave_mode_casting_off_systems_per_frame_fixing_t
Very useful but your voice is difficult to hear clearly. The low volume has your voice occur as though you're mumbling to yourself rather than delivering information to an "audience". Please speak up and speak out.
I missed the live presentation but this is great. Thank you for the tutorial and key command suggestions. Stolen! LOL! Thank you Dorico team!
Nice one Jon. I one of the culprits of going ti Engrave mode too soon. Very helpful as always. Ian

So quiet, I hope I remember to turn down the volume again afterwards.

Concertina is a small accordion, similar to the bandoneón.
I have the free option of Dorico, and any changes I make on the vertical spacing won't affect the scores, basically IT DOESN'T WORK.
Maybe get in touch with an example and we can give you more details on Dorico.com/forum ?
