It's pretty easy really bro. I got vids of me taking wild ones into my house and treating em like pets. I forgot to feed them one night and fell asleep early, so my big mommy coon ripped my screen out and started jumping on me until I woke up. I gave her a big hug and some snacks and she was on her way. Certainly didn't forget to leave her food after that though lol That same Raccoon would bring her babies right into my room and let me hold them, all I ever did was talk nice to it and offer sandwiches. The raccoon domesticated itself. When she got old she started sleeping on my couch during the day, eating a big meal, and heading out at sunset. The last time I ever saw her she just finished raising a batch of 5 babies to adulthood, and she sat there just staring at me with me with tired eyes and a smile. I said "See you on the other side old girl." Shedded a few tears and she trotted off for good. Tl;dr - They make excellent pets if you have a good place setup for them.
i feed a colony of 21 hungry cats, and 1 skinny raccoon. they are jsut hungry kids, waiting for the food. they dont fight as much either, when they dont have to fight over food.
that reminded me of the ratatouille scene, when Remy fed Emille at the restaurant ..though I was expecting (not hoping) the raccoon would chomp on his finger..
