      Greetings from Ireland.
Latifa’s story is profoundly sad. What is even more sad (if that is possible) is that Latifa does not know (nor does she have the vaguest realisation) that there are different deprivations of freedom and several forms of ‘imprisonment’ - she in a sun drenched oil rich paradise; millions of her sisters throughout the ‘free western’ world in poverty and economic bondage.
Does the world care? Not a whit!
See for instance (in the miniscule global context of Ireland) the recent commitment - as of July 2019 - to extend for a further five years the “Dubai” (Duty Free) Irish Derby (a $1.5m annual event that only attracts an audience of 12,000) and the “Dubai” Irish Golf Open with a purse of €6,215,965 and a commitment to make it a $10m competition in the years ahead.
In an utterly hollow and hypocritical world the pain goes on!

Claim 1: There were three Indian ships surrounding them.
Rebuttal: Really? India activated just two ships to defend entire island nation of Maldives from a Coup and they would deploy three ships for a civilian boat with no weapons onboard?
Claim 2: There were Indian Coast Guard planes (multiple) circling overhead.
Rebuttal: Your boat was 30-40 km away from Indian mainland. A single Indian Coast Guard Dornier Do-228 Maritime Patrol Aircraft flying 40 km away from you on the Indian mainland can spot your boat, tell it apart from all the other vessels in the area, zoom in to see what kind of boat you are on, see how many people are standing on the deck of your boat. Coast Guard plane can do this without having to get within visual distance from you, why would then MULTIPLE such planes be circling overhead?
This lady should have read about military capabilities before formulating her lie based on Hollywood flicks.

She was not in indian territory nor in indian waters. Interpol issued a red notice that princess latifa , daughter of Dubai sheikh was being kidnapped by some foreigners from Dubai and was coming towards indian ocean . Indian coast gard try to rescue her because they have orders and the information was based on Interpol. Indian coast gard have no idea about this royal family affair. If she was successfully enter in india then it was not possible for indian government to direct hand over princess latifa to Dubai because of indian Constitution and the women's organization n opposition parties will rip apart government for her forced return to Dubai. This will be a huge embarrassment for current ruling government of India and no political party will going to take this kind of risk for some stupid family affair.Indian rules n regulations r only applies in indian territory nor in international waters. However my problem is that the witnesses stated that it was the Indian Navy who approached their boat, not free roaming entities like pirates. The Indian Navy represents the Indian GOVT in this case, even outside of Indian waters. So the very important element that should have mattered is that the witnesses reported that the princess clearly stated that she was seeking asylum. @@kamangarg It is great that India got the arms dealer from Britain and that India can fight corruption. But,
The discussion here is about an individual's right to flee for their own safety. This is not an innate right, but it is so important that applying asylum is accepted in almost all repectable nations, embedded in national laws. This is a right we have to fight for, as this could be any of us.
I'm not being influenced by the western mindset, I'm probably simply influenced by my education level, the fact that I am a woman and lastly, as a Muslim woman. But if I were to be influenced by the western mindset for the purpose of safekeeping the sanctity of life, I'm willing to accept that influence.
Swaps or exchanges happen between nations, but it happens in cases where countries detain someone or some people they actually state a case against. So the fact that you suggest that India used an asylum seeker as a bargaining tool to get a crooked person back adds another dimension to this discussion.
The land of the Ghandis should have directly confronted the British and the UAE administrations, not use an asylum seeker.
Again, this message is entirely based on your report above. I retract any of this, shall the source of your info be unverified.

There is a lot that is off about her story. 7:14 She says "there were three Indian warships around them, and multiple planes circling overhead. It was like a big military style operation". For what? To apprehend a couple of unarmed civilians? India deployed just two warships to defend the entire island nation of Maldives from a Coup attempt. Three warships is a lot to spend on just a bag and drag operation.
And there is no need for "planes to be circling overhead". Her yacht was near the territorial waters of India. From that distance, a single Indian Coast Guard patrol plane flying as far away as over the Indian mainland would have been able to spot her yacht, identify it apart from all the other boats/vessels in the area, see how many people were on the deck and what kind of yacht it was. There is absolutely no reason for any of these planes to "circle overhead".

I found this video on CZcams when I was searching for more information on what happened to Latifa because I remember watching her video describing her imprisoned lifestyle that she had to lead under her dictator father. Earlier before finding this video I read an article where the American FBI is the one who traced Latifa on the boat she was on by doing some illegal underhanded moves that found out where she was and that information was transferred to Latifa's father. I have said this before and I'll say it again the American FBI should be disbanded. They can't even be trusted to follow the laws when it comes to our own citizens and they sure couldn't be trusted in this escapade because now we see the results. I can't imagine being in Latifa's shoes today. :-(

@@aldendiaz1165 Umm. No it wasn't "Indian Navy and Indian Special Forces". This lady is lying about the Indian part.
As for you: Indian Special Forces? They don't have time for this teddy bear mission! A simple VBSS team of the Indian Coast Guard could have done this, this is stuff for police units, not military lol. Had it been the Indian Special Forces, you wouldn't have heard a single plane overhead or seen a single ship around. A MARCOS team would have been duck-dropped with a rubber dinghy right in the path of the boat and the first time you would have seen them was when they were on aggressive approach on their rubber dinghy. They could have done it with even more stealth with a midget submarine, but does such a basic bag and drag mission really need such high end equipment and high tier units? No.

Why would Indian Coast Guard planes be circling overhead when just one such Dornier plane can spot her boat, identify it and read what is written on its hull from as far away as the Indian mainland? If they can see them from so far away, why would they have to get close and circle overhead?

No idea about the rest of her story, but this part was simply fake. Or maybe they added some stuff up to make it more spicy, I don't know.
