Me too. The film version of Stacee Jaxx is better than the musical. While the musical and film versions share a few similarities, the musial stage counterpart shows Jaxx as not taking responsibility for his actions by fleeing to Uruguay to avoid statutory rape charges; this film version takes responsibility for his actions and it is implied he and Arsenal are still successful and still active and that Jaxx strives to be a good father to his child and raise him/her with Constance in a safe environment away from crime and vices. In my perspective, I see the film's Jaxx as a successful solo artist, songwriter, actor, and producer when Arsenal is on a break and that he is successful businessman who owns a clothing line and a top restaurant too while also being a good franchiser of new brands and so are his bandmates too.
I was born in 1984 so I don't know the 80s but I love the movies and the music and everything to do with that decade. I wish I could have experienced it just once.
I'm 27 in November haven't seen the movie but love the song I grew up listening to the radio, my mums and my pops music from the 40-now so far I have a 3120 songs split into 6 list of videos I like from everyone everywhere in every genre
Didn't he take singing lessons for this movie? cause i think someone said that he couldn't sing well before this but was very dedicated to this role and want to really embrace the movie
Or re-awoke it actually. Wish they had made more coverage of what happened between the Bar and final concert scene though. Stacey didn't seem like one to become friends with easily, at least at first.
@@TGiFoosday I agree I'd love to have seen that journey. He found passion again, in love AND music, and cleaned up with constance's support. He went back to his band and became a team player, he mentored drew and sherrie, and they wrote songs together. At least that's what I imagine 😊. But I hope they got hey man off the scotch🤣.
Yeah this scene blames the grunge scene for it's demise. I have a question for you. Have you read Alfies book My Struggle? He really nails it about society's ills.
@@mrmoolahoola things lose character when they are too perfect. The sound is great and the musicians and singers are too. But in music it's more than that. Especially when it's about covers. The biggest mistake was to change the drums.
Alec Balwin, Russell Bland & Catherine Zeta Jones were all miscast very annoying in the movie. Other than the overused auto-tune, the movie was ok just because of the music.
I love how Stacey is happy with the reporter who's expecting his baby xxx

They don't make music like this anymore. And it makes me sad.
This was incredible on Broadway too
