Warp Text Into Shapes with Affinity Designer

- In this tutorial we'll be going over how to warp text into the shape of a circle using Affinity Designer. This is accomplished using warp transformations-- namely "quad" and "fisheye".

There is no WARP TRANSFORM button in the layers menu of Affinity 1

Just adjust the text spacing with the tracking in studio/text/character and you can select multiple nodes of the Quad, you dont need to do them one at a time
I'll do you one better - Just highlight all of the letters and then do exactly what he did. All would adjust simultaneously.

This is great! Question… I’m always seeing videos on instagram do edits like this (basically by “hand”, and part by part) then they say “NO! Stop doing it like this!” And they show you some built in feature that does it for you or something similar.
So should I listen to the videos? Which method is better? Am I (or you) a bad designer for using a different method to achieve the same effect? 😅 sorry for so many questions
No worries. If there’s a faster and more efficient way of doing something then that is usually the better option. In this example it has to be done manually because there is no one-click tool for it.

Can you update Affinity Designer 1 to AffinityDesigner 2? Or do you have to buy it again for the full price?
It's a separate app. It needs to be purchased separately.

I don’t believe it’s possible. The closest you can get is with the mesh warp path effect.
christ man... inkscape and illustrator can do this by clicking a button... loving affinity for years... but theres always something that pops up like... "really??" lol. i dont care what the devs say. if free programs have this feature theres no reason affinity shouldnt... that goes triple for live trace
