My son required a life saving operation when he was six weeks old. The surgeon was Sterling Blocker, Dan Blocker's cousin. His hands were the size of his cousin's "Hoss." I was amazed such large hands performed such a delicate surgery on such a tiny patient. He had a similar outgoing personality that immediately put me at ease. The surgery was a major success.

Same here, my dad served in WW2 and he always watched Bonanza. I spent many times watching with him on the couch. He watched it up to the last few days of his life when he passed away in 2019. I quit work to take care of him about the last year of his life when it started to get a little hard for him to get around by himself. I miss Pa. So when I see anything about Bonanza I think of my dad who was a good dad.

Thank you for the great virtual tour it is really accurate my wife and I were fortunate enough to visit the Ponderosa Ranch in Nevada on a trip to Lake Tahoe the thing you never forget was the enormous fireplace and the staircase to nowhere! Lorne Green should have expanded it to a real mancave billiards room or something like that lol! it all brings back great memories. The house at the Nevada site had a huge artificial wisteria tree with the beautiful purple flowers hanging down on and over the porch it was a nice touch like desperate housewives set. The owners of this home are very gracious hosts to allow us a peek into this special historical home, It is a gorgeous time capsule very well taken care of and loved it shows in every bit of the property Hats off to Lorne Green and his wife the Ponderosa and Bonanza lives on!

I grew up with Bonanza and currently watch an episode or two before I go to sleep. The Cartwrights take my mind off of the bizarre, twilight zone reality of the world we live in today.
We had a vacation home on a golf course in Bend, Oregon and I was so afraid we’d get “pelted with golf balls” as Lorne and Nancy did, especially because our daughter was a toddler at the time. Somehow, we never did. We were mid fairway and I don’t remember even one stray ball flying through. Good golfers!

First a thank you to the homeowners both for letting us view their wonderful home and for being such great caretakers for such an iconic house! We need more people like you to take care of our legacy homes and buildings! Jordan I thought the exterior Vlog that you did was terrific but this really takes it over the top I had to watch it twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Another great example of the quality of your work and your dedication in bringing these outstanding experiences to your subscribers. Thank You so much. 🤠

Its great to see the current owners are keeping the house the way it was when Greene's lived there.... I was waiting for Hop Sing to come running out the kitchen door as you walked up, or come into the dining room as you entered to offer you something to eat... Thank you Jordan for another awesome video.... Keep healthy and safe in your travels!

I think that those two hats donated to the house by the studio was a very loving gesture. And if you take a look at the stand-ups that you have at the end of your video here (nice touch, by the way) you can match those hats up to Dan Blockers character Big Hoss (the white hat on the right of the hat rack) and the one that you put on your lucky head looks like it was the actual one that was worn by Michael Landen's character Little Joe. So, wow!

Great tour! Much thanks to you and the homeowners! It is wonderful to see history preserved! We visited the Ponderosa house in Nevada back in 1998. As I recall we were told that the two hats [(and hat rack?) that were gifted to the homeowners were from that very house] were Little Joe and Hoss's hats that were left on the hat rack for sentimental reasons from the last time they were on the set. Not sure how true it was but it's a great addition to the authenticity of the home!

I’m in love with that house. Love every part of it. I’m glad Lorraine Greene decided to build Ponderosa 2. That cactus made of horse shoes is so great. Can’t stop smiling about the house. What a fun find. I came across this by accident and really enjoyed it. I had no idea that Mr. & Mrs. Greene had built this special house. I was tickled to see the first photo you showed, the one of the four "Cartwright's" standing in front of the "original" Ponderous house. I sent off for my copy of that photo when I was probably in early Junior High School. I still have it in my collection of photos. Thanks to you, Jordan, and to the home owners for this great video.

Many thanks to the homeowners for inviting you to do this, that is so generous and gracious of them. And you did a wonderful job pointing out all the details that were dear to my heart. I was a big fan as a kid growing up in the 60s, and my late husband and I would watch Bonanza on MeTV with great enjoyment. Thank you, this one made my day! ☺️👍🏼♥️

When I heard the opening music of Bonanza I would come running because I knew the fire was going to burn thru the map. As a kid I thought it was the neatest most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. It was also the first time I saw color on television. Loved the step back in time. Wonderful job.

That was absolutely amazing in so many ways, Jordan! That was very nice of the home owners to invite you in for a vlog. Thank you to the owners if they read this comment!! So much stuff! I can’t comment on them all, but the retro appliances in the kitchen was something to see. I’m wondering if anyone is still alive who used to make home repair visits for those. I noticed that on the signatures in the hallway, that Lorne’s is on a green background, where others were beige. Highlighting his last name in form of the color! Neat! They need to add kevlar to the back walls on the next upgrade to the home. Four or five golf ball hits a day? Yikes!! “Fore!!”

Really enjoyed this video! Bonanza was my favorite show when I was a young girl, and I had a huge crush on Adam. As an adult, I purchased the first 6 seasons on DVD. Pernell Roberts left the show after the 6th season, and I was crushed to discover this when the 7th season started. I wanted only DVD's of the seasons when he was still with the show. For years, I would stop by Burger King on the way home from work every Friday for a whopper and fries and watch an episode of Bonanza, and I watched them in chronological order. After the end of Season 6, I would start all over again with Season 1. Loved those Friday evenings, which took me right back to my childhood when I sat rapt in front of our huge console RCA color TV!
