This is Just perfect timing, i was about to go on Beat Saber for a bit, i recently had to go back to normal BeatSaber, but after beating most of my friend's high scores after 1y+ of not using normal beat saber (lol), I wanna go back to modded already XD
Its crazy that beat saber costs what it does and gives you 20 songs nobody has ever heard of and offers packs that may contain a song you do like.... At least guitar hero had 60-80 songs and 5-10 good songs and 1-3 great ones. Just saying..

I was able to successfully downgrade to 1.28, which i've heard is the best version, but i can't install mods, and BMBF won't even open right. Both of them ask for folder access to folder that I can't give them because of some sort of privacy thing???
@@lBlueVr turns out, after a FW update to question 2's, you need to follow the instructions you need for Quest 3's, which requires a computer. best of luck

Every time I do all the steps the game locks me out and tells me to restore it, and if I try to play it without restoring it will kick me out. Is there any way to fix this?
When it sends you to the Meta page, you have to go to the website's menu bar and click the "login/sign up" option. Then you may have to login again. But after that, it should work
I put the code in to link it my side quest account, but it keeps showing me the screen with the code whenever I open it... Is there a fix? (To clarify, I open side quest, and it shows the code I have to put in to link my headset, but nothing happens when I put the code in)
Went to a current one 4 months ago it was posted and this one actually worked and it was 7 months ago now. Same process it seems but you have to have bmbf to sync mods to beatsaber

No matter what I do, I can't get past the uninstalling part while downgrading. After I click uninstall, it gives me an error because the game isn't installed.
I recently got the quest 3 and i couldn't get beat saber to be modded. I followed the tutorial and at the end after "sync to beat saber", and starting beat saber it crashes and opens BMBF as a black page. I tried opening it again, this time it seem to work only to not have the version modded and only the downgraded version. If anyone knows whats going on please let me know :)
I’ve downgraded to 1.25.1 but every time I try patch via BMBF I keep getting the error: something has gone wrong modding the apk. you will need to reinstall beat saber and try again. ARRGGGHHHH 😢😭😭
When I start to downgrade one of the versions ok download progress it says “Unknown Error:Have you entered your token in the tools and options section?doing this is needed. Otherwise you don’t own the game you are trying to download.” But I already put in my token and in the tools and options it says you are logged in.
You have to make sure you're logged into the same Meta account that purchased your Beat Saber game. Same thing happened to me when I used my own account information (I never purchased beat saber) but it worked when I used my brother's account information instead (he purchased the game)
Does this work for Beatsaber from the meta store directly on my headset? Or does it only work for the pc download of Beatsaber? I don't want to break my game / headset. Also, if it doesn't work, can I abort and go back to normal Beatsaber without repercussions? I have a Meta Quest 2 that has never been connected with a pc ever, and works as a stand alone console.
When I try to login to the app switcher using either Meta or Oculus, it just takes me to their store in the tab. It doesn't bring me back to the app switcher to set a password. It won't say that I'm signed in even though I did. Help please?
@@wittymchitty hi, When you're on the store page, hit the menu button at the top left (3 lines) and then the login/register button at the bottom. That should show you the set password prompt

4:28 I'm stuck in a cycle of installing and the program telling me my downgraded Beat Saber isn't installed so I have to install it again. I don't get the "Finished!" message (on 4:32)
No matter what I do, modding beat saber never works for me because there is always 1 random step that stops me from modding it. I can't login with my account on Quest version switcher. It just says 'something went wrong' and thats it.
@@Shawnster7 Tried it 4 times, even deleted and reïnstalled it. I managed to get BMBF working and load songs and everything and now Beat Saber just keeps freezing on the loading screen.
Oh, wait. Never mind when I try to go to the V .27, it now says the downgrading is now blocked. Yes the mods did work on V .25 but I wanted to change it so it stopped asking me about updating it.
quick question, so I'm already on a earlier versionof beat saber, can I still follow this and when it shows the downgrade versions to download will it just update to that version? Or would it be best to download to the latest version than go through this process?
Just quick for any one doing this when I made this comment the Bmbf servers are down so missing is not working at the minute but this only applies to getting bmbf for the first time. There are working to fix it

my questver switcher was already selected to beatgames but it didnt give me an option to pick what ver or to get mods. I dont even have a get mods tab
Is patching in BMBF suppose to take so long- it came up with a warning but then resumed the patching process.

Yeah, this video is outdated. Googles new policy make the system files private for your privacy. The new way takes a computer sadly.

BMBF kept uninstalling my beat saber but not reinstalling. Didn't work and I ended up wasting more an an hour trying to do this.

We've had some server issues with OculusDB earlier today. They are fixed now and you can try again.

if you have sidequest you probably already have accsess to a pc, at that point just do it normally
