Hey glad to find your video. I have the same saw and not been able to source the Porter Cable riser kit since they have discontinued the model. Besides having to drill those holes in the riser block did everything else fit perfectly? I had heard that the guide post for the blade is different diameter than the Porter Cable original. Did you face any problem either fitting the bearing assembly on the guide post or the guide post itself in the holder? Thanks in advance for your help. And keep up the good work of sharing your projects.

Hello. Thanks for the comment. The guide post fit great. The only problem was the bearing assembly was too tight and I had to grind that section of the post a little to get it to fit but that wasn't hard. Also I had to epoxy the blade guard extension together because with the screw wouldn't slide in the upper casing. Also if you slide the blade guard up for the full height there isn't enough clearance in the upper casing. I just either take the guard off or put the original guard back on to get the full height. Looking back I should have shown that in the video. I'm still learning how to video but hope to get better at it as I go. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions I will try to answer them.

@@dskeigley Thanks for getting back. This is very encouraging. For grinding the post for accepting the bearing assembly do you need things like a milling machine? For metal working I have basic tools like files but most other tools I have are woodworking tools. Hope those files are good enough to grind it down.

@@ashokmoghe8035 You should be able to do it with files with some work. I used a bench grinder. If you don't have one then maybe you know someone who does? You can take the bearing assembly off and you will be able to see on the end of your post what you are up against.
