"You do not want to be stoned, eating four boxes of Maltesers and talking nonsense about understanding modern jazz"
Couldn't agree more
This quote is the story of my life tbh
Speak for yourselves😂
Just imagine if, under the influence, you said with a giggle, “Hey, and by the way, I’m an undercover cop!”
That line was straight out of disco elysium
This man took down some of Manchester most ruthless gangsters.
Blimey he is convincing, when he was talking about how he is there to do business I was nearly apologising to the screen
😂
I met Peter about 6 years ago at one of his book events. He expressed the exact same views as this video then, regarding legalisation and regulation of drugs. I met him after and had a quick chat, told him I was applying for the police. He was so supportive and give me a great insight into what the job is. I’ve been an officer ~4 years now and I still think about the things he said when I met him.
Even with a short length of service I can already see the failings of ‘the war on drugs’. As a patrol cop I’ve dealt with some pretty crazy situations. All in all it’s a great job, as long as you enjoy your part. Remember you’re a small cog in a big machine and do what you think is right everyday with conviction.
Great video!
Peter is full of shit mate, everything he does is for money just like his hunt for Kevin, the man’s obviously dead
Truth is there is no war on drugs. Everything is in place intentionally and you’re nothing but a pawn in a corrupt elitist system.
Thank you for doing the job you do. Very much appreciated 👍.
You sound like a top cop!
If you look at the news today you will see Switzerland are looking to be the first country to make coke legal and to see over the counter. They say nothing else has changed over the years so they are going to see if this has an effect.
Such a articulate man. Could listen to him for hours !
@rockyibes32 Have you seen his interview on James English’s podcast? Great podcast
i Could sit down with this gentleman and just listen to his stories ... So much respect for him!
Yes Jackie's birthday the "secret code word" sounds like a true story no one would have suspected a thing
Have you listened to him on James English’s podcast? Great podcast
“If you can’t lie, don’t apply”
I need that on a t shirt
As someone who lived in "Saaf Lundun" for many years, I can attest that Peter is a top bloke.
"To catch the squirrel, one must become the squirrel."
- A smart dog.
To become a squirrel, one must first see a squirrel.
Crazy how different times are regarding job application processes. Out-of-the-blue, fills in a cadet application form, with presumably zero relevant experience/training/qualifications, and a few weeks later, has started a career that sets you up for life! How times have changed! The hoops you have to jump through these days, and the background checks, just to get your foot-in-the-door..... truly is a different world.
(I just want to emphasise, I am not belittling this man's achievement - he's clearly extremely dedicated, talented, professional and driven, hence why he got to where he has - I'm just pointing out how different the process of *starting* a career was then, compared to now).
We need this speech on the necessity of legalisation and regulation of currently illegal drugs as a good, short, and sharable soundbite for people to share on social media !
This man is the embodiment of hardline detective/undercover investigator.
Incredible interview. I always love the interviews on this channel. Keep up the great work!!
im glad i watched till the end and mosdef agree with him. thank you for this upload!
Incredible. I love this series. Keep up the good work.
I've listened to quite a bit of Mr Bleksley's interviews, and every one has left me feeling that the World is a better place because of him, and others like him.
Excellent. Thank you. 👍
Absolute respect for this person.
Phenomenal!!! I couldn't agree more!!!
This man knows his stuff, totally comment at 21:13 onwards are in my opinion completely accurate, and there needs to be a complete shift in thought around drugs in this country (UK)
Riveting interview. The mind boggles as you what goes on. Thanks for this.
My admiration and gratitude to you Sir.
Man, this channel is always bringing the fire content❤️
I’ve always been such a big fan of Peter Bleksley! Incredible interview ☺️
9:10 quite a suspiciously specific example lmao
Peter is terrific !!! love his comments.... very intelligent man. 10/10
Peter Bleksley has had an incredible life. I read his book a couple of years ago and I couldn't put it down! Really interesting I highly recommend it 👍🏻 top bloke.
Brilliance, a man who understands "the war on drugs"
That was a brilliant video. I was born and bred in Brixton. I would love to meet Peter he is an amazing bloke. Take care and stay safe mate. Tom.
I just feel so sorry for him at the end built his whole career on what he loved for him to say it was a waste of time what it entailed
To be mixing with some of the people he was mixing with whilst being a copper… this man has balls like King Kong
I could listen to him for hours
Came to my uni a couple of weeks ago, class bloke
What a character! Love him!
Met him once. Top bloke
Isn't it amazing that some mothers can have a sense of what could be a career for their children? A rough lad, but she could still see police in him.
His conclusion on the war of drugs is great, i couldn't have said it better!!! When will politicians Catch Up to this mindset?
What an interesting man. And I love that tie ❤️
Legalise and regulate!!!!! As this gentleman said, that is the ONLY option now.
As a former worker in the substance abuse treatment field who lost his job due to lack of funding, hell yeah, he's 100 percent right.
By the time I was laid off, we were the last detox facility in the state. Now we have none in this state. The insurance company has more to say about when they are done with inpatient than before.
Bleks! I used to be a regular at the same pub, he was certainly a character.
Brilliant.
"Ripping the granny out of life". Nice. Love listening to this man.
Most people will only know him from hunted and not know he actually had a successful career beforehand
I know this guy!! I sold him some gear back in the day!
I love how much he had to emphasise the amount of “practice” he had at racking up lines 😂 sat at home with flour my arse
Top bloke lot respect
He should record audio books. Amazing voice
This Geezer is now my hero
It's amazing how many of these police interviews agree that the war on drugs was a waste of time
This guy was gettting bang on it when he was undercover 🤣
What a gem! 🤣
Listen to this guy he knows what he is talking about
He is straight out of a Guy Ritchie film it’s incredible
😂
What a delight
Wise words
Blesks is brilliant
Dang! At first i thought he was Netanyahu! 😂
It’s sad that we will never see that solution to the war on drugs in our life times probably! Very cool that dude is observant enough to understand that the current, and past, methods and of handling drugs was and is an absolute joke! And their are way too many people that make boar loads of money from this war on drugs so the politicians have zero incentive to change anything.
Should be doing audiobooks
Being stoned and eating four boxes of Maltesers, spouting nonsense about understanding modern jazz sounds like a good time 😂😂
Is this a re upload? Defo heard the drug part before
They've had a couple of interviewees who have had very similar messages.
Hero!
Hes good at the slang criminal lingo😮
Why is his tie so abnormally long lol
😂😂😂
To cover up his enormous balls, obviously
Because he's sitting down. He must be a very tall man, so when he stands the tie hits the right lenght.
I swear he's already done one of these with them already ?
I’m from Peckham !
Ať pozdravuje! 😊
He’s like the Bizzaro Bricktop
A wise expert.
Guy makes a lot of sense. War on drugs is lost. Take the power out of the hands of the cartels. It's the only way forward.
Great interview, until the sword shop story, was almost believable up until that point
“It’s Jackie’s birthday”😂😂
Jays, Grandad. He completed the police.
21:42 he's exactly right. Legalizing is the only way.
Good fellow. My home Canada has legal weed i hope every other drug is oh and regulated
I liked him in dire straits.
🎵 some geezer called Romeo sang on the streets of souwth Landon…. 🎵
If only govt and other decision makers could take his advice to legalise drugs. Unfortunately cause many govt’s are corrupt and it is not in their interest to legalise the industry, many powerful people would overnight lose empires built on selling drugs if addiction meanwhile average peeps lives are ruined by convictions for smoking a joints etc.
he sounds like Alfie Solomon from Peaky Blinders
he couldnt milk it anymore hes still going on
That whole thing about "building" the joint with tobacco is total horseshit; for whatever reason he doesn't want to admit to getting high as part of his job. If you work as a CI or undercover LEO on a drug task force you will absolutely be doing drugs, and often.
I was thinking the same thing mate if I was interviewing him I would have asked if that's the case how come all these criminals couldn't smell the weed until u passed the joint lol
It's wild to think about how our police force was going undercover to stop people smoking weed....
Sounds like the "Police Bricktop"
"
Got him with the ole "jackies birthday card" trick. Fooled them dummies
Silly Billy's 😂
Beautiful
Cheers Becca 😘
Totally agree with this guy, legalise and control all drugs..cut out the drug barons and save millions of lives
I love gear
Lol me to bro. Me to.
Improper use of the word ultimate.
Very interesting life story. Though I do think the modern perception of the so-called "war on drugs" is often maligned due to unrealistic expectations and goals. It is not a 'war' and thus cannot be won. We can't change human nature, but we can see that justice be done for certain harm caused. Legalization arguments fly in the face of reality and human nature- that when you subsidize/legalize something, you get more of it. And it is a fact that drugs, legal or not, do society harm.
That’s precisely where the issue lies, when it comes to a problem of such unquantifiable magnitude as the illegal drugs market, you *can’t* effectively implement justice for the harms it causes.
It doesn’t matter how many gangsters you lock up, there is simply so much money to be made in the sale and production of these substances that there will always be someone willing to risk it. It’s the policing equivalent of painting the forth bridge.
Likewise you can’t effectively reduce the demand for these substances either, no matter how many public health campaigns you run people will always get curious, that is human nature.
What’s happening with the hunting Spotify series
"So I could build you a spliff like a baby's arm, without a problem"
talking about taking drugs while undercover was oddly specific
I don't believe for a second he didn't do the lines
That's scary
Thanks for your input Teresa
He’s a businessman
The police cartel can never eliminate their competition 😂
How sad 😢
I found that 6ft 6 Scouser because he couldn't be bothered.
Hi peter i have a long criminal history from 1996 to 2018 before when i did something wrong the police would come for me. But now it seems like since they got defunded and all this wokery stepped in they have lost the want for the rule of law. We need to get back to law and order otherwise we are gonna totally crash and burn as a country. Cheers mucker ❤
