My dad was never my friend or buddy when I was growing up either. Come to think of it, even after I was full grown he was still always my father first. I miss that man every day and wish I could tell him one more time how much I love him and what a great dad he was. That I wouldn't be the person I am today without him. You keep loving your kids the right way, being their father and not their buddy and your kids, one day, will realize how blessed and fortunate they were to have you as a dad and your lovely wife as their mom.
