Hey there, that's some awesome work. I'm looking to buy your instructions for this impressive gearbox. On rebrickable.com you wrote, that one can use the NXT motor or the "new" PF servo motor, because its steps are the same as shown in your video. I know, that one of the servo's features is, that it returns to its beginning position when not electralized, so it would switch between two gears. Have you some instructions/hints for me, how to build a adapter so it switches gear after gear? Best regards
euMelBeum3l I just came to that realization too (of course after i ordered the pf servo). My first thought was to make something like a ratchet that slips one direction and catches the other, but then it wouldnt be possible to downshift via that same mechanism...i still think it could be done with some clever engineering though.
awesome i ve always been waiting for your new video. and everybody was looking for instruction for this.
Top demais!!! Genial!!!
Any idea how to use PF motor in this transmission? Can't figure it out because of servo autocenter. Thanks.
what is the degree amount that the motor rotates for each shift? looks to be slightly less than 90 degrees
