There is a bizarre trans-Atlantic conflict going on here. Hi - I'm from the UK and watched my first ESC way back in 1970. ESC never leaves you, ever - once hooked, you are hooked.huse
But... the whole contest is about personal musical preference. In a contest of 40 or so songs, you are NEVER going to like and enthuse about all of them.
I get you are American where the culture is yes, yes yes - promote, enthuse, congratulate. I get it. But TK, the majority of your European ESC viewers watch these performances with a Simon Cowell moment. It's the one thing American TV culture doesn't have of it's own
Americans want to see you smile and love everything. most of the viewers for ESC content really want your honest perception.

The NF from Belgium was great this year but this one was actually one of the weaker songs. Exemples are Chérine and Gala Dragot. Would love to see u guys react to them 😍

@@anb4256 Honestly, even Gustaph didn't expect to win, this was just a amazing evening with great songs but the only song I would choose to listen to, over and over again, is Gustaph so ofcourse I think he deserved to win. Aren't we lucky, it's going to be a party in Liverpool and he will light it.

It’s a trashy dated cabaret song well suited to a low end restaurant or club.
Eurovision songs are meant to be epic not cabaret.

@@cultfiction3865 well, the way it won the voting discourse was epic eurovision television, I can tell you that. Also, it won cause so many people like me 'don't have taste' and, as you are aware, there are much more of us in Europe then the 'selected people who have taste' so good luck with that.
