It's sad because I don't think Splinter Cell has the same general reach to the mainstream. That's why Splinter Cell had to change with the gameplay design of Conviction and Blacklist.
We may love the series but if it's not mass profitable then it won't get made.
I'm glad they didn't turn the franchise into an open world service game abomination.

This game felt so smooth. The movement was fluid. The mo-cap takedowns were second to none. Seamless level design with diverse locations. The weapons and gadgets were on point. I know some "purists" didn't take to the arcade-y feel. Forget them. I started with this series from day one. This game is the second best in the series behind Chaos Theory.
This is literally like watching a movie!
I was playing the other day after years of beating it and realized Sam was John Wick before it was cool. You can set up so many sick execution chains and headshots

I went through it a couple months back as well and it's definitely still one of my all time favorites from Ubi lol. Such an awesome game.

I think that's a little part of the plot, that he's a force for good but he himself possesses skills and a mindset that, from the standpoint of a good person, is actually pretty bad.

@@grimjudgment6527 I also don't like how the Five-seveN and MP7 are weaker against armor than regular some weapons, the whole weapon system sucks a little, not to mention only one save file. Not sure about that DLC crossbow, but in the Russian embassy in Rwanda I had trouble taking down 3 enemies one a case of stairs with two sleeping gas bolt and a straight gas bomb. It was also annoying to hear Grim yell at me to hold my fire on a ghost attempt for the HVTs.
@@wyhesggifrid Absolution is fine unless you have the hardware (I don't) to play the newer games, it fixes the cover problem of walking over angles this game has, just don't bet on upgrading weapons.

This was really satisfying to watch. I remember going through this mission so many times just to be a little bit faster. That last section had a lot of weird angles and guard patterns. Love your use of knee-capping and explosives together. XD

If and when Ubisoft put out the next Splinter Cell, let's all pray they don't do to it what they did to the Ghost Recon franchise.
Agree, they should rather go for an approach similar to what Sly Raccoon 2 and 3 did.
Sam and team heads to a country, does a few missions there, then when they're ready takes on the final mission in that country, then after when they're done heads to the next country etc.
Giving each mission exploration value and making them unique fits way better.
I mean, they will probably just focus on one country if they make the whole game open.
Which is pretty unusual for SC.
They will make it 100% bankable. They will change the nature lf SC to make it into competitive or lootbox, and its gonna piss off a little of people.
SC best thing is the good solo campaign
