@@pradeljames3260 they where running though which is an extreme test, and in fairness, it was smoother than the iphone stabilization (neither were buttery though). If you look at other reviews doing less extreme tests such as walking up stairs, the smoothness really shines whereas other phones stabilization fails. Running with the phone just seems to be outside the capability.
Overall camera though seems to be a mixed bag though as dynamic range seems a bit worse on the vivo than the iphone. They talked about this in the review, so i don't think they were being too nice to Vivo. It seemed fairly accurate and fair

What about the "plus" variant? It's sporting SD865 + a newer Samsung sensor that supposedly offers OIS+EIS to almost rival this gimbal system while offering an even better sensor... and perhaps one of the very few devices currently coming with it....

The Vivo X50 Pro is a very brave phone to feature the global only in the middle spec. It confuses me as Realme's X50 also packs 5G but does not have the same camera system. I think a little more differentiation would have gone a long way. Thanks for the review! I was surprised that runs her dog off the leash. Don't see that often.

This is revolutionary for phone camera system but expecting the gimbal system to work brilliantly like the a real gimbal is still far to achieve. And when talk about the built-in gimbal system, almost everyone set their mind on capturing video while in move (running most of the time) but maybe the gimbal system can be used in capturing photo with higher zoom level or when capturing photo in low light condition using pro mode where iso and shutter speed adjusted accordingly. I don't see any reviewers do tests for these situations specifically for the gimbal system.

@@oceanbreeze685 the phone is very good, battery life is absurdly good, the sound on phone and earphones is the best, 1080p 60hz HDR. Then the dual screen 😍. I haven't multitask on a phone this much in my entire life. To me I will never change this phone until its completely dead. Oh also 8k, 4k 60 video camera.
Dual screen a mere gimmick won't catch on!

Hahahaha. Buttery smooth was probably not the best description but still pretty smooth while taking a video running. She does say that the photos the camera takes aren't very true to life so don’t think it’s a paid review.

For under 1k it undercuts the Note 10+. Like the screen too.
It seems the gimbal didn't work as good as the 3-axis DJI OSMO mobile 3. Plus given its connection to the Chinese gov., it is likely to follow the path of Huawei.

Ofc it doesn't work as good as a full gimbal... It's still a phone. Also the ban ain't so bad tbh just less bloatware on the phone and you can install nearly all your apps via petal search or 3th party stores.
