I’m getting jealous 😄 as a 13 pro max owner I must say the mini has the perfect phone size. I could punch myself for not getting a mini before they discontinued it. I hope it has a comeback.
I used a 13 mini for a while. Loved the size! I just didn't like the lack of camera zoom. I ended up switching to an S24 because it's the most lightweight (168g) and relatively compact "flagship" phone that includes a 3x telephoto lens.
I resent the fact that Apple, Samsung AND Google refuse to put optical zoom lenses on their smaller phones. It's ALWAYS a stupid combo of "wide and ultra-wide". Why not put a ultra-ultra-ultra-wide on there while we're at it? Let's zoom OUT as far as humanly possible, because that's what taking pictures of things is all about! /sarcasm

That’s clever. Mine opens the camera 🤷♂️ even though I probably would use the control centre to mute and unmute my phone more times a day than the camera.
But the camera I want to pull up quickly? Idk 🤷♂️
They should just make these releases every two years.
Why? No reason to do that. Just don't buy yearly. I don't get people who say this. Nobody is forcing you to buy, it's a "you" problem. The release is for people who want to upgrade or getting a phone for the first time.

I’d want to use the action button to start and stop screen recordings. I feel like that’ll save me the time rather than bringing down the control centre every time.
You can just click the top left corner to stop the screen recording.
The cutout on the case for 16 Pro seems to match the MM Wave antenna. Don’t think it’s for an additional button.
If you have an 12 or earlier model, then yeah, upgrade. If you have a 13, 14 or 15 it probably won’t be worth it

I just wish the action button could be mute AND another function. Like maybe a double press does something different than a long press.
It can do more than one thing using the shortcuts app. I have mine bring up a menu (choose from) and then open different apps depending on what I need. It's a game changer.

I want to still be able to mute AND do something else depending on how it’s pressed/held
I just purchased a iPhone 13 mini. Used to have it, regret selling it, and plan to hold on to it for many more years. Buttons, AI, none of that stuff means much to me personally.

I actually use the action button now for the camera and it’s very handy. I have iOS 18 beta so the old torch and camera button on the screen now open Safari and CZcams or Teams and Outlook when in Work Focus. Very handy changes in iOS 18.
I'm thrilled to have something like the new iPad Pro, Thinner and light. Just a little bit worried about the battery, if that's the case. On the software side, of course especially for the AI. Always a great video Bridget!

Well, I use iPhone for work and my trusty XR will likely stop receiving iOS updates this year… so I have to update. Battery is pretty bad at this stage tbh, so I’m looking forward to the new change

On my S5 Active, I also have an action button that can be programmed to open two different apps depending if you use a quick press or a long press. It's nice that Apple is adding features instead of taking features away but is that worth upgrading for most iPhone users by now?
I would program the action button to open my playlist on Amazon music automatically 🙌🏻🤙🏻

Hold onto your phones for as long as possible! It's good for the environment, good for your wallet, and an 1 every 5 year upgrade feels way more satisfying then once every 2.

Sounds about right, havnt upgraded since the Iphone 12. havnt needed or wanted to. This is the first time ive been excited for an Apple release since the redesign...my current phone!

I have a 12 pro. I wait at least 4 years but last time I waited 6. This year I might upgrade but as a guy I’m excited for a pink version I always get white or black, so boring. I also don’t use a case and my battery does not hold at all anymore 😢

They should do something niche as for the price they ask for iPhones. But sadly they are still away from providing user friendliness which android provides. I changed from android to iPhone last year and am still learning 😂

As an Apple enthusiast phones are good enough to where a new release yearly is not necessary
Has anyone seen the camera feature on the Sony phones? The one where you can zoom in from between 3.5x to 7.1x without losing any quality? Continuous optical zoom it's called and that's one feature I want to see on an iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel phone. We probably won't see it, any time soon. But hopefully one day
We won't. Sony phones are made to be actual photography phones which is their main selling point. Not the case with the other brands.

@@mohammedfaiisal the capture button? Not really, I think it's stupid because unless you're a content creator, majority of people don't take pictures horizontally, majority of people take pictures and videos vertically.
@@hobbitpsi I wasn't talking about the capture button. I was talking about the continuous optical zoom feature. That's the feature I want to see on other smartphones. It's also not completely out of the question to have that feature on other smartphones. Especially because companies get ideas from other companies all the time and this feature is one that I want to see the most

I did that last year with my 11 Pro Max. I use the 11 as a streaming cam now (it’s heavy compared to the 15 Pro Max that replaces it).

I have a 13 Pro Max. Honestly, it made me miss my iPhone 7 Pro. Leaving Touch ID was a huge misstep. I still use my iPhone 7 Pro for some smart home stuff. It still wows me that before I can even look at the screen it’s unlocked every time without fail. Dropping the unlock switch will be awful. I’m not being dramatic here, it might be the final nail in the coffin for movie theaters. I can already imagine a future where at least one person at every movie accidentally pocket unscilences their phone. It’s a cost cutting measure. There’s no reason you couldn’t make a programmable toggle switch. That said the stacked Sony censor that’s rumored to be coming might make me upgrade. It would be a huge leap in quality over my 12mp camera.

A better camera would help as the ones in the iPhone 15 Pro are terrible…! I specifically bought the 15 Pro for the 120mm equivalent lens and I was so disappointed I took it in the get checked as I thought it was faulty. 🏴

@@jevonsims900 Yes because the SE still has the button/haptic button on the front. Apple uses the fingerprint scanner in the power button on ipad, so they have no excuse not to use it on the iphones.

Nobody on CZcams or anywhere on the internet has mentioned that the new iPhone 16 and 16 Pro might be getting eSIM globally, similar to the new iPad Pro M4. This could mean the end of physical SIM cards.
If I didn’t have a Watch ultra I’d ditch Apple and get the s25 ultra. So much better.
I’d rather wait until next year because the iPhone 17 Pro models will have an enhanced RAM from 8GB to 12GB.

I just switched to iPhone for the first time, and I got a iPhone 15. I feel pretty duped and pissed off. this is the legitimately. The reason why didn’t switch to iPhone on the first place, withhold features for money, and software features at that.

they would need to find a way to dissipate the heat and keep the iphone cool with such a powerful processor, which is probably not an easy thing to do.

Nobody is really talking about the heat sink because the 15 pro lineup get extremely hot sometimes.The so called update from apple hasn’t fixed it for me honestly

All manufacturers are moving out of any additional button to make the phone more modern. And apple is adding more buttons for each function 😂. The action button could have taken this camera click function when camera is open, thats not a rocket science to include that in existing button. Why to add another physical button just to click pics😂
