    Besides that Mexico City has intensity IX/6+ that is much stronger than the surrounding, it is also surprising that the intensity at the epicenter is only VII/5+, which is relative low for a M 8.0 earthquake.

    Dude you have to do the New Spain (Mexico) March 28th 1787 8.7 quake not many have heard of this quake but it was the strongest one in Mexican history

      @@Lucas-mi8iv also a maybe… the quake was reported back in the 1700’s & it was speculated to be between an 8.4 too and 8.7 in todays richters scale but yeah that too

    Mexico city shouldn’t shake that strong, but it’s on a basin, so it shake stronger than its neighbor counties…

      and that one of these earthquakes of 7 or 8 magnitude can awakes Popocatépetl volcano and makes eruption

      (Noticiero Hoy Mismo) is the only available image of the earthquake live on TV, however; there are some radio recordings at the time of the earthquake that are:
      -XE-RED (RADIO NETWORK)
      -XEX RADIO FESTIVAL
      There were others like the one from a radio estation, but it seems they eliminated that video; in the same way, some moments of the earthquake are Lost Media such as:
      TV: IMEVISIÓN (they also broadcast live at the time of the earthquake)
      RADIO:Radio Cannon, XEQ, etc.
      He is in search of these materials, which is difficult but not imposible.

      Mexico city is located in a former lake so the soil is very soft

      ​@@Lucassogos además CDMX (México City) le llega peor los terremotos la mayoría de Estados son en lugares macizos osea que resisten pero en la ciudad pues Tlalpan y en las partes Sur colindando con Morelos resisten pero si vas al centro de la ciudad prepárate para vivir lo peor de un terremoto y despídete de tu casa por qué se cae aunque lo construyas bien adiós casa
