  • In Today's video, I'm looking at the Jam Pedals Pink Flow pedal. This incredible handbuilt pedal is a collection of Jam Pedals individual pedals that make the ultimate Pink Floyd Pedalboard.
Just so you know I made a mistake with the Redmuck FUZZ, The +- switch changes from symmetrical to asymmetrical clipping.
Here is what Jam say about the Pink Flow.
The Pink Flow is our proposed combination of JAM pedals designs that will
Equip you with the essential tools to not only bring your “Pink” lines to life but lift them to a whole new level
Offer a future-proof and versatile array of effects that will help you “Shine On” in most live and recording situations you might find yourself in down the road
Maintain the integrity of your hard-earned tone with 100% handmade analog circuitry, a selection of true or buffered bypass (Delay Llama trails mode) and zero patch cables!
Simplify your rig by minimizing set-up and tear-down times, reduce hauling weight and restrict power and audio cabling to the minimum
Allow you to focus on creating and playing music
    FEATURES:
In seeking to make the Pink Flow as versatile as possible, we have proceeded to introduce the following features:
    · TAP tempo with subdivisions on the Delay Llama.
    · Delay Llama trails mode.
    · External TAP tempo IN.
    · Send / Return FX loop between the Overdrive and Modulation sections for you to place other effects in.
    · True Bypass Relay Switching.
    SIGNAL CHAIN:
    1. Seagull: the seagull effect heard in “Echoes”!
    2. Dyna-ssoR: A realisation of our inspiration to combine a Ross Compressor® and a vintage DynaComp® using the extremely rare NOS CA3080 chip.
    3. Tubedreamer: a JRC4558D equipped 808 style overdrive offering a carefully tuned, midrange frequency register, that delivers warm and rich overdriven sound through any amp. Features a high- gain toggle-switch.
    4. Red Muck: a Fuzz / Distortion pedal, inspired from the circuits of the ’71 “triangle” and the later “Red Army / Civil War” Muff. Features a toggle-switch to select between symmetrical or asymmetrical clipping.
    5. FX Loop Send / Return: Connect other effect/s to place them AFTER the Red Muck and BEFORE the WaterFall.
    6. WaterFall: a smooth, lush-sounding Chorus / Vibrato pedal, featuring BBD chips, with 2 toggle-switches, one to select between chorus and vibrato modes, and another to switch to a wetter effect.
    7. Ripple: Smooth, sweet and transparent 2-stage phaser pedal.
    8. Delay Llama: A fully analog, BBD chip, delay pedal with a maximum delay time of 600ms, Tap Tempo, HOLD function, and Delay Time expression pedal input. Features a two-position toggle-switch for trails mode ON/OFF and external Tap Tempo input.
    * Removing the bottom cover will reveal the 3 trimmers mentioned previously, located on the blue PCB (right) which you can adjust to:
    set WaterFall’s maximum speed
set Delay Llama’s maximum amount of repeats
set Delay Llama’s trails decay amount
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Love Pink Floyd or not, this seems to be an excellent solution for me. I have too many boxes and patch cables lol. I've tried a lot of Modeling devices and returned all of them through time. I get that it's convenient and all, but still not the sound I want. This Pink Flow is all analog in which I prefer. I can also hear that it can do a lot more then just Pink Floyed tones. This is now on my bucket list, and hopefully will get me outta this rabbit hole iv'e been in for the last 35 years lol. Great demonstration on what this pedal can do, thank you.

For less than 1/3 the price I own a Korg Toneworks AX1500G which I purchased new early 2003, you can find used for around 200$ in good condition, is amazing and includes a wah pedal and has an auto-wah effect. The other five switches/pedals allow to toggle between two effects each. Look them up, CZcams has several reviews and sampling videos. One I really love is RobzFreak channel video : Cab Sim ShootOut AX1500G VS Behringer UltraG for lead sound
Zoom, Line 6, Mooer and Boos seem to be the only others with half-reasonable units these days. I suggest shopping around thoroughly before investing in any pedals.

You know: somebody who wants analog effects wants ANALOG effects, so....
      And THIS is handcrafted.
We all know that Line 6 and others exists. If we are here, it's because we don't like digital multi-effect for lot of us.
If I buy all 6 pedals separatly (from Jam), it's 1300$....
So it's a good deal, but you are not interested. That's all.

@@gedeon_teuzemany yeah bud, depends on what each individual wants and can afford. You don't even know me and what other equipment I own lol I like the Korg because of the cab sims and the wah, I have other analog pedals. I also have a Boss BR1600CD console with other effects you won't find in other pedals. To top it all off I even have a PG Spark besides my Fender Deluxe 85 dual channel...and multiple other equipment which would take another 45 minutes of my time to list. Anyway, your personal choice I respect, respect mine. My point was not everyone wants to dish out 1500$ for a multi effect pedal even if it's entirely all analog and/or handmade, nor does every guitarist need to have all those analog integrated pedals. You may easily find that most guitarists use about 10-20% of their pedals regularly while the others are used for specific sounds in only a couple of songs. Angus Young, no pedals lol

Kinda surprised they went with a vibrato over a tremolo effect. Otherwise, what a phenomenal pedal.

The only thing is, it's quite expensive...it's over $900 from what I've seen.
It is really a beautiful analog pedal solution, but for the price (or cheaper) you can achieve quite similar results with a combination of pedals and/or some digital multi-effects solution.
I would be all over this if it were about half the price...but I think $900+ is a hard pill to swallow while knowing there are other good solutions out there for the same or less money.

Expense is minimized when you consider all the integrated effects. Add up all these effects as separate external pedals and the price may turn out to be a bargain.

Besides that, a violet rams head muff is closer than this muff circuit. Mostly comes down to the tone control values used in the RC networks. Much different scoop than other muffs.

This pedal is missing a Reverb, which would make it a complete, all-in-one structural "pedalboard". An extra $100 or so added to the price and an extra few inches to the size would NOT be a deal-breaker to me.

It sounds like he is using reverb from the amp. There is definitely reverb in his sound, even in what he calls "clean" at the beginning.

Apart from setting the delay to do reverb like delay ,there are not many dedicated analog reverb pedals apart from spring reverb

@@TheStudioRats thanks for replying! I use the ISP Decimator with mine single coil guitars und I have the ISP Hum Extractor + Decimator too,it's a very expensive pedal, but it was the only thing which worked to take out the hum, but it changes a bit the tone. There is way too much interference here where I live, even with active EMGs I still get hum in the background sometimes, when the notes "are dying". Cheers and thanks for the vid and review!
