Just bought a Katana 100 Gen 3. What settings do you use for the line out for live into a direct box into the PA. I’m not happy with the EQ on the Live, Rec, or Blend. It seems to change the amp EQ. If you use one of these, what mic, and mic placement settings? Or just use a mic? Also, how can I adjust the SOLO level.

I wouldn’t pay it even if I could afford it. Happy with my 1989 LP Standard Plus. But if you have the money the choice is yours. For a premiership footballer it’s nothing.

Would this sound and perform better or equal too a Marshall Dsl40cr combo for home play ?

I heard from another video that it works fine with the Spark Live, but the other older Sprk 40 and Mini amps have a latency issue.

Sounds great! Loved the video format. However, I love my IR-X so much. It is probably the most versatile tool I own and sounds amazing. I bought it to use with headphones when I was in Costa Rica for a couple months. When I got back to my studio, I used it to track guitars direct guitars for two very different songs and I was super impressed with the tones and versatility. It never sounds thin to me and fits in the mix no or minimal eq needed. I almost always mic cabs because I love cabs, mics and mic pre amps too much! Now, I have it in a loop switcher on my studio board to add two additional channels to my Dirty Shirley and it is incredible! It's like having a dirty shirley and a small box at once! Into a Marshall 412 with greenbacks and 75s covered in mics, I can pull up any tone I want in seconds. My other amps aren't getting used.

If you don't like the Custombuckers in that guitar, the problem isn't the pickups or the guitar. Truth.

I did it better. Joined a Squier standard stratocaster neck to a Fender stratocaster body. I can't tell the difference after my mods. Of course I polish, round, roll, adjust, add wiring add tone bleed and play! Trust me, moat Fender strats don't feel as good. The time is the key.

Having owned and departed from a few mesa's over the years, for reason being most of their models have been one trick ponies. The least versatile amp on the market. Then came the Stiletto. This is by far the best value for money amp they ever made . I came so close to buying one recently. The cleans were great. ...But...like you said....my days of humping amps that weigh as much as a block of flats is over. Thanks to my Rivera designed Fender and the EV 12lm, being the instigators of what my back is today .

Great video, I’m late to this! I’ve owned my first Ecstasy 101B for 17 years and I still have it, and this week I’ve added the latest incarnation of the Ecstasy, the Pandora, to the ranks of Bogner amps I own (six in total). The Ecstasy is hands down my all time favourite amp. A couple of hopefully helpful points. I’ve heard folks complain about the clean channel, but there are ways to get Fender cleans out of it, essentially maxing out the volume and controlling the volume on the gain. The blue channel is home to my all time favourite drive tones, the woodiness is addictive! My original 101B has what is known as the Marvel mod on the red channel. This is a three way switch on the back panel which gives you the pre 2004 red channel tones (essentially the blue channel with more gain), post 2004, more gain and highs, and the Cameron mod, which gives the amp more high mids. The other complaint some make is that they feel the amp sounds like it has a blanket over it. I feel this is a misunderstanding over how the treble control on the drive channels works - it is logarithmic, so to get the treble content that you would on a Marshall with the treble set to 10 o’clock, you’d set the treble on the Ecstasy at 2 o’clock or higher, Leon Todd covers this in one of his videos on the 101B.

Im trying this presets with my Shecter Trad Van Nuys (HSS) and sounds horrible... Too much treble, no body and low gain. Is my boss gx100 working fine? Its not the same guitar but your guitar and mine its similar in configuration

Never mind that this rather good sounding pedal doesn’t have the “right” diodes etc - it’s a “no” from me simply because it’s missing that absolutely crucial sonic ingredient - where the heck is the GLOOP, eh? No gloop, no purchase. Warm Audio simply aren’t trying hard enough 😞

Also got one of these. Wasn't really after a Klone but I'm a sucker for a deal😂. Been using it in front of a Tonex one loaded with one of the clean captures in your Mega Barba pack and its sounds amazing.

For the higher gain settings, add a bit more amp gain too. More harmonically rich.

I’m plugging this thing into my amp and it’s ok but it’s still missing something? Im wondering if it’s possible to get stellar sounds if you do not have all the gear and knowledge that these guys have? Mine does not sound like these vids. I’m still on the fence about keeping it…it is interesting and fun to mess with. A lot of captures are harsh, have harsh frequencies, maybe it’s not great with an amp? Not sure.

Doesn't have the low mid bump that a real klon has. Other klones do. Doesnt mean it doesn't sound good.
